Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Does any one

Does any one here go to public school?  When I go through Down to Earth there are a ton of threads for homeschoolers but none for non-homeschoolers :(  Anyway if you do go public school feel free to write your horror stories, worries, and advice for our about-to-go-to-actual-school-after-being-homeschooled-their-whole-life friends.

I go to a private school!!!! :D:D:D! It's not that bad!!!!! I'm sure it's a little different, but you shouldn't worry!!!! Some people don't like P.E., but I think it's fun! (except when our teacher is doing some health thing and hands out homework. :() Don't be worried! When you go to middle school, you have to move pretty fast cause they don't give you a lot of time to get from one place to the other. But I survived! You will have WAY more friends, and it's lots of fun in LA!!! (Language Arts, English, yeah) We get to write stories and poems, and have so much fun! We also get to read books!!! yay! She gives us a book to read, and we get to read it! Sure there are tests about it and stuff, but if you can at least remember the basic plot, you're good!

I go to public school! And, surprisingly, I really do love it! No, I have not been brainwashed or dropped on my head as a child. So no horror stories for me. Although it's getting harder and harder to find excuses not to go to the *cringes* dances, but other than that... :)

No, but I do want to tell public schoolers that homeschoolers don't find friends as easily as they'd think.  At my supposed "bff's" birthday party, another girl and I had her permission to read her diary.  On one page, Emily (yes, I don't feel like calling her "Keira" anymore...) said that "I wish Paige could go to public school with me and Becca."  Sweet, right?  Well, it turns out that the punctuation mark at the end wasn't a period like I thought, but a comma.  It continued, "then she'd at least be a little bit normal like the rest of us."  She went on to say how I couldn't be 'Mommy's little girl forever."  This is my "best friend" I'm talking about!!!  I was horrified!!!!!  I actually started to cry (and I don't cry at all), and she started to feel bad.  She said she was sorry, but I could tell that she wasn't really.  Now, you guys are my only "real" friends. :(

Bleh!  I know!!!  I was really shocked that she'd say that!! :O :O  The other girls, maybe, but her??!?!??!?! :O :(:(

She's mean! I don't treat anyone (especially my BEST friend!) so horribly! I don't really write in a journal.... so you can't enter my journal and read anything about what I think... HAHAHA! hehe, But even if I DID have a journal, I'd just write bad things about my brother. Or if I was mad at a friend for some reason. Oh Paige! That is so sad! Did you yell at her? Do you still see her? Are you so angry that you don't want to EVER see her again in your lifetime? ??? ???

What about "C"? Isn't she a friend of yours?  And the "Friend" you mentioned a while back who had graduated to 'Friend'?  But it is a horrible backstabbing story. My question is, why did she agree to you guys reading her diary since she KNEW what she had written?!!  I HATE it when people do STUPID things like that!

C. is awesome!! :D:D:D She was at the party, and I had a great time, but she was sick, so she couldn't spend the night.... :(:( My "friend" (Becca) who supposedly became my 'friend' was the one that Emily said that to, and Becca agreed. :P She was in on the whole thing. :(:( I don't know why she was nice that one day. :( Why did she agree?  Well, she let this one girl (C.'s BFF), who I'll call I., read it, and I. asked Emily if I could read it with her. (That will be confusing for you to read...) Emily must have forgotten, because she writes in it every day.  I don't know.  Maybe she wanted to hurt my feelings.  Some BFF....

She's had that diary/journal thingy since she was nine or ten, so it's pretty old. :) I keep my diary on the computer, with a password, so nobuggy can get in -- in fact, I forgot it the other day...  I tried all the passwords I could think of.....  I couldn't get in!!!!  It was taking up too much memory on the computer, so I had to delete it!!!  Bummer....  I didn't yell at her, because, uhhhhhhhhh, I don't know why!  Now that I think of it, I probably would have, or should have, but I guess I chickened out. :( Now, I want to yell at her! (and the other girl who REALLY offended me.  (Look at the thread about friends.  I think she's called "Keira", maybe???) I still see her.....  I go to the same church as her, and the same youth group.  Let's just say that the church is small, so the youth group is made up of me, her, the two other girls who agreed with her that I am "Mommy's little girl," and another girl, who's OK, but....  If I were to stop going to the youth group, my parents would get mad, even if they knew the reason, and the youth leader would give me a really hard time about it every Sunday at church (especially since she LOVES Emily)... :( Yes, I am so angry that I don't want to see her again in my lifetime, but I'll have to. :( Maybe we'll talk about friendships at youth group next Sunday.  I hope!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Yah, I agree with Paige.  I used to go to public school (until two weeks into fourth grade), and practically every girl in my class was my friend.  Now, I only have four friends not including my cousins.  (I have a million cousins, but they all live far away except for two, so they all don't count, plus, they're related to me.) (Oh, and I don't count you guys either.)  So, I get REALLY lonely.  I only get to see two of them on Mondays, and then two of them are my neighbors, but only one of them comes over, and she's busy all the time!  My two local cousins are really the only "friends" that I see often.  But then with the school year, it gets really hard to see them, and they go on vacation all the time especially in summer.  It's so hard.  I often find myself in tears.

Paige, I'm so sorry about you and your friend.  I understand how you feel so much that it's painful.  I hope you find a new better friend in the real world, but I'm glad you consider us to be friends; I do about all of you, too.  :)  I wish I could go back in time (with my current brain and bravery) and gently get back at all the people who have hurt me.  One girl, who I wasn't friends with, actually said to me "You don't believe in Jesus, so you are going to !12#@#$!!!"  I was so shocked!!  I don't even know where she got that idea!!!!!!  I never said anything about religion to her!  I think she was crazy.  The funny thing was, her name was Emily.  But there's no way I can say Emilys are bad, because I have THE BEST COUSIN IN THE WORLD, and that's her name.  Plus, I think there are a few Emilys on this site, and they're sweet.  :)

Oh, yah, and for those who don't know me, I'm homeschooled now.  :)

Thank you, Laura!  I have about the same amount of friends as you.  I have a million cousins, too, but they're all at least a Junior in high school (only one is) or older. :P Oh, there's the nine-year-old, Scott, but I don't see him much... :)

Hmmm...  OK, two Emilys out of four are mean, with your cousin and Emily L. being the nice ones.  Hmmm.... :):)

When was it that the girl said that you don't believe in Jesus?  Was it when you really little?? :) I work at a MOMs group on Fridays at my old church, and one time, this little girl came up to me and said, "Miss Paige!  Molly's not going to go to Heaven!!"

I was a little surprised (no duh...), so I asked, "Paige [yes, that is her name!], how do you know?"

"Molly stole the block from me!  That means she doesn't know Jesus!  She's not going to Heaven!  She doesn't know Jesus!  She doesn't know Jesus!  She doesn't know Jesus......"

Fortunatly, her mom came and got her, carrying Paige down the hall, while she was stating that the whole time.

:D:D:D:D  Little kids are so funny!  :D:D:D  They think they know everything!!! :D:D:D

My friend did that to me once. She had brought it (the diary) to school in her backpack (obviously not very smart). A boy grabbed her backpack and started to read her diary aloud. He just happened to open it up to the page where she had trashed talked about me. I was crushed. I got over it and made up with her. This was, like, 2 years ago. The ironic part is that, a couple months ago she totally changed into a really different person and backstabbed me. So the moral of this story is don't forgive easily, once a meanie, always a meanie.

No, Emie really was sorry this time.  I asked her about it, and she started to cry, saying how sorry she was.   She threw the diary away, too. :D

I go to high school which is challenging but fun.  My school has like 3,000 kids in it and I have a lot of friends.  However I am often confronted with hordes of stupid people.  I am amazed at how grumpy school has made me--I'm always ready to bite someones head off.  I love all of my teachers (especially history) except for one:  english.  For some unknown reason I thought 'who knows, honors might be fun' HA!  It is my hardest class, and my teacher HATES me.  (sorry guys I'm kinda venting).  I was wondering if any you guys feel that while in public you have to hide yourself.  Like I don't mean to but I am never myself around other people (well except for you guys :D).  Oh, and wish me luck because tomorrow begins exams (which are like giant tests that count for 20% of your semester grade)!
