Team writing

Hey, everyone! I'm introducing something new: Team Writing! So, we pick a genre or subject for each Team Writing thread, pair ourselves in teams of two, and each team writes a story together! First, the team discusses ideas, then one of the two in the pair writes the story, and the two in the team take turns revising it until they're both satisfied.

The genre in this Team Writing thread is Fantasy! Wizards and Goblins and Warty Little Trolls... or some other sort of fantasy.

I'd like to invite Theo or BHR to be my partner! Whichever one of them agrees first will be my partner. If neither agree, I'll find someone else.

Ooh! This is totally up my alley! I'll do it!

Okay, BHR! What do you think the story should be about? I think it should be set in a world where it started many centuries ago, with just one person in a world consisted entirely of a field of grass that went on for many miles, and then as he wished for more to exist in it, more things came into existence, creating a very fantastical world. Hmm, what should be in the world?

I'll join.

@ Ruby:

I can be your partner, if it's okay with you.  I am working in my Nano, so if I don't write as frequently, that's why.

Also, I think that Princess P. revived something like this a while ago.

I'd be honored to join you.

I have lots of ideas, but not all of them are good, and most of them are based off of books and such and I don't like using ideas based off of other things people have made. I can suggest some to you if you want.

Let's see... The first thing on your mind is a bit too morbid for here. The second may work. In this land, everyone is born in two different separate parts, the Beneveloids and Malevoloids. The Benevoloids can do no wrong while the Malevoloids are "evil twins". We can create a plot from here.

Or. My inspiration source is dying. We could adapt something from dreams I've had. I've had some interesting ones. Here: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/chirpatcricket/node/111991?page=2 Scroll part way down the page, that could be interesting to do. Or: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/downtoearth/node/105583 The top one could be fun, and there are a few more. We can could clean them up a bit and adapt them into a story. And I have a ton more dreams we can use...

And any ideas you have, of course, would be most welcome.

Maybe it could be completely realistic except for one gnome and one fairy and there's a human and then there's a middle and an end and hopefully a dramatic death scene?

I tend to greatly dislike stories that occur in the real world but with fantasy thrown in. If that's what you really want to do, then sure, I'll do it!

We don't have to do that... It was just and idea.  I haven't written realisitc in a while, and I'm starting to think fantasy is the cause of my minor block...

ELLIPSES OBSESSION AGAIN!

Do you want human characters, fantasy characters or both?  That would be a good starting point.

I'm terrible at writing realistic. Seriously, I think I'm only good at writing the macabre and funny stuff. Which is an odd combonation, I admit.

I honestly don't really care... um... just humand sounds a little boring, so I guess both or just fantasy characters? Whichever you want. We should come up with some kind of conflict. A problem. That will create the backbone of the story. Hopefully, we can think of something more orignal than just "defeat the evil guy" because that's completely overdone.
