Every week, please check here for a new theme. Your job is to write any kind of poem of your choice based on the theme. If you have any theme ideas, you're welcome to share them! This helps me have a good idea of what you like to write about.

Check back later for the first theme! Happy writing! :)

Lottie is really good at writing poems, so she finished hers before I did. Here it is:

                                                              Spring

            Snow is now melting.

The lilacs will be here soon.

            Spring is very nice!

I will be posting mine later!

P.S. Lottie sends her love!

Vernal
Equinox

Spring.

Hope. Steady golden rays set
upon your face.

Spring.

Growth. Little green children
growing from the dirt.

Spring.

Renewal. The fresh scent of
melting snow drifting up your nostrils.

Spring.

Free. Birds twittering happily
outside your window.

Spring.

Festive. Glistening eggs
scattered around your lawn in light of Easter.

Spring.

Colorful. Rainbows, little
children in shiny red rainboots, blooming flowers.

Spring.

Serene. Standing outside,
feeling the gentle breeze against your face.

Spring.

Let the joyful season inspire
you to do something great with this new year.

(Oh man! When I put this here it looks so long! Sorry! It really isn't as long as it looks)

I feel energized:

The Lord blesses me with this beauty,

this trust,

this faith,

cool winds blow without freezing me,

but I have this feeling,

tranquility,

peaceful, calming, soothing,

spring.

Gone is the white, icy, lifeless slush

Reappearing as a daffodil, bright and plush

The cool raindrops sprinkle the lawn

And the hummingbirds, in perfect harmony, whistle their spring song.

Spring

The snow is gone;

Spring is here again!

The birds sing a happy song

To welcome back spring.

Aminals are now awake from their sleep,

Now that sppring is here.

The children run and leap,

To celebrate that spring has come.

The sun smiles and sends us warm rays to chase away winter,

To rejoice that spring has come.

And all the earth is full of cheer,

Now that spring has come.

Admin, would you mind adding a lowercase 'h' to the word 'as' in the last sentence of my poem? I must not have pressed the H key hard enough for it to register on my computer. Thank you!

Spring

Flowers in bloom and air is sweet.

Snow is melting, almost gone.

Bees are buzzing, I am sneezing.

Sun is rising, it's a bight new dawn.

Spring is swiftly creeping on us

Winter soon will disappear.

Though the groundhog said to wait,

I firmly think that spring is here.

The sun is warm on my brown head,

Grass feels cool on my bare feet.

Earth is warm and moist for planting

Little birds are saying "tweet."

Spring is finally upon us

Outdoors is our place to play.

Hide and seek and running races

Spring is fun, in every way.

Spring Scenery

Spring is when the sky is clear

A smooth, blue sheet sprinkled through with white clouds.

Spring is when meadows are green.

Green grass blades dancing in the wind

Spring is when the flowers have bloomed

Opening up their beuatiful blossoms to life.

Spring is when birds are singing

Their sweet songs blending with the wind.

Spring, a wonderful season.

This isn't my very best work, since I came up with it on the spot. But I hope you like it! :)
