Character Cafe

What would happen if a character could meet other characters? What if a character could leave their story/ies and discover the world unknown? The world outside their author's mind?

Okay, so basically this is just like central station at Wreck-It Ralph (I know, kinda dumb idea), except it's a cafe where our characters go. Your character can meet other characters, and in the meantime, you--as the author--will learn more about your character. Anyways, here's the form:

Character's Name:
Book they are from:
(Looks and Personality are optional)

*You can enter up to three characters, and, depending on how many people enter, you may be able to enter more*

My character:

Character's Name: Victoria Hale
Book they are from: Hidden Secrets

Victoria ran through the pages of Hidden Secrets. She wanted to get out of there. She was on hold in a creepy, locked room. Urg. Creeping past her parents in the portal, she figured she might as well go to the Café to meet some friends from somewhere far away from Colorado. Maybe even her friends from New York were there! She smoothed out her cobwebby clothing and walked to central station, locating the café. There it was! She was a bit embarrassed about her scraggly condition, but she figured other characters would understand. Authors were so annoying sometimes!

Name: Lady Eona, Mirror Dragoneye

Book: Eona: The Last Dragoneye

Age: 16

Appearance: Dirty brown hair, short for her age. Wears a simple white linen dress, blue headscarf, and orange sash around her waist. Smells mildly of vomit, as she has been effectively "carsick" for days in her story.

Personality: Forceful, especially for a woman. Not afraid to go to any lengths in order to protect her friends, unless it means killing a lot of people.

Cappie says "zber." Do you mean zebra, Cappie?

Kate strided into the cafe, smiling at others. She was tall and very brave, and lots of other characters looked up at her. But she was used to it, and sat at a table and ordered some bagels and hot choco.

Lani wandered through the cafe, scoping out the characters. She noticed more non-humans coming in: a brown-haired girl with wings sprouting from her back could only be a fairy, and she saw several cats, lions, and even a big but friendly-looking giant wandering around.

~Eona~

This is my third day of travel in the mountains, and I am thoroughly sick of it. Both literally and figuratively. I need some fresh air and good solid food, and there's only one way I can get that right now. The first time was completely by accident two days ago; I thought I was going to sleep but instead ended up in front of the strangest building I have ever seen. I had a shouting match with a ludicrously dressed woman who didn't look much older than me.

I steal a glance at Vida next to me. She's fallen asleep; it will be easy to say I did the same thing. I close my eyes into a feeling not unlike being swept down a whirlpool: a rushing, spinning sensation that makes my breakfast want to come up (again). When I open them again, I'm back in front of the building. The woman from before is back too, in a booth some fifteen feet in front of me. She looks up slowly when she notices I'm there. "Oh, if it isn't Kalya, pilgrim to the Moon Lady Waters," she says snidely. "Well, I checked the database last night, and there's no such character in any book ever written! So tough luck, Kalya, unless you're using a false name and would care to tell me your real one." I swallow hard, praying silently to every god I know that this isn't a bad idea, and reply, "Fine. It's Eona. Lady Eona, Mirror Dragoneye." The woman in the booth raises one eyebrow. "And how do I know you're telling the truth?" "Do I look like a Dragoneye lord right now?" I yell at her. "No? That's because I'm dressed like a pilgrim, I feel like a horse's a***, I smell like my own sick, and I didn't expect to be asked questions!!" That seems to do the trick. She blinks a couple times, looking thoroughly shocked, then asks me to come with her.

A few minutes later I'm walking through the huge glass doors of what is apparently the Character Café. The woman from the booth (who, upon closer inspection, seems to have an earring in her nose) has just proceeded to flash light in my face, ask when I was born, and hand me a little rectangle of something smooth and flat that isn't quite paper. I'm nearly as shocked as she was when I see the motley assortment of people here in an even larger variety of clothes. I plop myself in an empty chair, dazed and wondering where I should start.

@ Admin and anyone else who might care: I sincerely apologize for my use of a bad word. I thought it would lend credibility to my post, since at one point in the book Eona uses said cussword some six or seven times in one paragraph.

Dawn's ear twitched as she gazed out of the cafe's window. The little bell that was attached to the door jingled at least three times, each ten minutes apart. She would occasionally turn her head to see different characters come in, ordering something, or just recognizing some old friends and sitting down with them. She recognized Katniss, as she talking with a few other characters. Dawn turned her head back to the window. Who will come into the cafe next?

Kate sighed. She was very bored of all of those characters talking to her like she was the queen of the universe. Cause she wasn't. She was in an average book that most wouldn't know about called The Mysterious Benedict Society. It was a rather nice book, and she loved being in it. But anyway, most people liked her because of her agility and resourcefulness, and of course her bucket. Her lovely bucket. She was also admired by her cool tricks she learned from the circus. She could do handstands while drinking lemonade from a straw. She could do rope balancing, and much much more.

Kate waved herself from her thoughts, and shooed away the characters.

Alaina sighed. Well, her mom had disappered. Maybe you had to sign in, or else you would disappear. Maybe she didn't have her phone because older characters weren't allowed to see modern technolodgy. She should sign in. "Hi, can I sign in?" Alaina asked the woman behind the counter. "You have to sign in. Founder and boss's orders. What's your name?" "Alaina Ginth." "Book?" the woman asked. "Umm... I don't exactly know." "Oh, you're unpublished?" the woman asked. "I guess," Alaina replied with uncertainy. "Well, you're gonna be here a while looking at the list. Might as well take a seat." "The list of what?" "All unpublished books known to man- and characterkind," Counter Woman answered. "Oh boy." "BTW, have you seen a white iPhone 5 with a sparkly pink cheetah print case?"

Name: Anna Shawl
Book: Wishes by ME
Around and around I spin. ugh! This making me sick! And why does it have to be so dark! Well at least the author isn't making things jump at me this time! Really! Why did i give him that suggestion! I lean back as a flying giraffe flies past. Really! A flying giraffe! Well at least tonight I can get some rest at the Cafe! No one there is going to jump on me!
A few hours later I collapse in a booth at Cafe.
"Hi!" I look up. Staring down at me is a girl with long blond hair and shirt reading "Camp Half Blood." Where in the world is that?
"Can I sit here?" she asks. I motion for her to do so. "I'm Annabeth Chase," she says, "and you?"

May I join?

Name: Naomi

Book: Vermonia series

Naomi launched herself through Fly's portal. I've GOT to find Rainbow! She has Satorin with her, too! Suddenly, Naomi found herself clinging on to the pages of a giant book, almost like she was hanging onto a cliff's ledge for dear life. Naomi caushousley stepped onto a table underneath her. As soon as she leg go of the book, she grew to full size. Oh no... I still look like Suzaku! The girls sitting next to Naomi stared in surprise. Naomi twisted around. Yes, indeed, she still had wings. And that wasn't the end of it! Not only were the wings huge and scarlet, but there were SIX of them, three on each side. "FIRE!" One of the girls screamed. Naomi looked down. Her dress was flaming. [Fortunetley, Naomi is immune to fire, and apparently, so is her dress]

Hazel stood at the counter, her green oxygen tank beside her, and lifted herself onto her tiptoes. Short girl problems, indeed.

"How may I help you?" a perky blonde woman inquired, sashaying over to the opposite side of the counter.

"A small cup of green tea, please?"

"Coming right up."

While the woman fiddled with the old-fashioned kettle at the stove behind her, Hazel stared. This was one weird cafe.

"Here you go." A sloshing mug filled to the brim with scalding liquid was pushed across the counter.

Hazel grabbed it, tossed a five-dollar bill onto the counter, ordered, "Keep the change," and quickly walked over to a quiet corner, where she could have more air to herself.

She sipped her tea, surveying the room around her. It was very nice, she had to admit. Everything looked so...antique, though. It was unlike any other cafe Hazel had ever witnessed.

Dawn;s ears pricked forward as she saw a girl drinking her tea alone. Dawn narrowed her eyes, and decided to join this girl. She leaped onto the seat next to the girl, and spoke.

" Hi. I'm Dawn. Who are you?"

Hazel, startled, glanced up to see a girl who looked her age. Dawn, Hazel thought. What a nice name.

"Hi, I'm Hazel," she replied, smiling. "I think I -"

Suddenly, another girl made her way over to the seats in the corner where Dawn and Hazel sat.

"I'm Kate," the other girl introduced herself. "You new?"

Hazel nodded. "Yeah. At first the girl behind the counter didn't know who I was."

"You're Hazel from The Fault in Our Stars," Dawn exclaimed. "I love your book!"

Hazel raised her eyebrows. "You...you do?"

"Yeah," Kate chimed in. "I saw your trailer. Shaliene Woodley played you in the movie. You look nothing like her, though."

Hazel shrugged. "Yeah."

Dawn watched as Kate talked to Hazel.

" What book are you from, Kate?" Dawn meowed in the human tongue, unaware of a new scent drifting towards her nostrils. Dawn sniffed and her nostrils flared.

Rowan.
