Bartelby~

The Hufflepuffs defended the dorm the best they could, but were slowly picked away by the green cloaks until it was just me. But there were just too many. They were coming in the windows, even the door. How did they know the password? Finally, I was swept away by the crowd of wizards. These men must be the lot that were supposed to take over Hogwarts. By now I didn't know if I was still in the common room or in the corridors. All I could see was a whirlwind of green. Then my head bumped against something hard, I dropped my wand, and everything went black as I sighed and wished I had succesfully defended the dorm.

When I woke up, the green wizards parted and I confirmed that I was in the corridor. I looked over to see what they were huddled over. I didn't know, and I wanted to find out. A few of the green cloaks saw that I was awake, so I muttered a "Stupefy" and blasted them away. But that spell just got the attention of all of them. I sighed again, hoped I wouldn't hit what they were looking at, an yelled, "Expulso!"

Sorry! I've been uber busy, but I'll try to write more often. I struggled a little bit to understand what was going on, but if I mess up y'all are allowed to correct me.

Annalise ~

Things in the Gryffindor common room had been quiet, but something tugged at my conciousness. I'd quickly learned not to doubt it, so I silently climbed out of bed. I climbed out of the portrait into the corridor, and immediately heard shouts. Thinking fast, I ducked out of sight. From my hiding place, I saw wizards in deep green, floor length cloaks, and they were dragging Bartelby. Their appearance sparked a vague memory.

I've seen them before, I thought though I couldn't pin down where.

Suddenly a round of screaming burst out somewhere near by, interrupting my thoughts. Not thinking twice, I slipped from the shadows and followed them as discreetly as possible. I followed them down into a larger corridor where I stopped dead. More wizards in green robes stood around a figure on the floor. It was Conny, and she lay writhing in pain. The newcomers dropped Bartelby on the floor where he lay seemingly uncioncious. I moved closer to hear what they were saying. The one in the center that stood over Conny spoke in a low voice. Slowly, they removed their hood. He had pale skin and pitch black hair.

"My name, is Vegdonya. I am the next voldemort," he hissed to Conny. My skin felt like ice. Where on earth were the professors? Where was McGonnagall?

Just then a cry of "Stupefy!" hit a cluster of green robed wizards. He shot another spell which hit yet another group of wizards, and then collapsed.

I took opportunity of the confusion and shot a spell at a table, causing it to explode and knock out a series of wizards. The one in the center snarled, searching the room. His eyes landed on me, though I stood firm, gripping my wand. Instead of attacking he turned and fled, leaping out and window. I watched him and his followers go until the room was silent and empty. I rushed forward and checked on both Conny and Bartelby. Bartelby had a nasty lump on his head but was otherwise okay. Conny had no visible injuries, though I was willing to bet that she would be feeling that cruciatus curse for quite some time. 

I knelt, feeling Conny's pulse, when an insane burning feeling spread across my arm. I screamed, tugging at my sleeve to be rid of whatever was causing the pain, though there was nothing. Words were being invisibly etched into my skin, flesh burning away with each letter stroke. I groaned and bit down lip, trying to keep from screaming out. After what seemed forever, the etching stopped, leaving my arm throbbing. Blood soaked down but I could make out the words:

"You've been warned."

"What is going on here?" a voice asked. I turned around. It was a Ravenclaw prefect. Typical, now help came.

"GET. MCGONAGALL. NOW," I ordered loudly, gripping my bleeding arm. The prefect turn and ran.

Bartelby~

My expulso spell clears away most of the wizards, and Annalise comes in to the corridor a bit late. But she does help us to the hospital wing. Madame Pomfrey treats Conny at once, while I quietly sit myself down on a bed. Madame Pomfrey finally notices me, treats my head, and goes back to Conny.

My head, even with ice, makes me feel woozy. And how ate it is makes me feel even woozier. And before I know it, I'm fast asleep.
