Chatterbox: Inkwell

AVATAR RP!

Here's my
character sheet. I'll add little bits of the story while you guys submit more
characters.

Name: Alex
Flamerider

Fighting style:
Firebending

Weapon of choice:
fire, lightning

Age: 14

Personality:
Funny, wild.

Background: (this
is optional) He was born in a big family in the Fire Nation. He lived happily
with his parents and brother and sister until a mercenary water bender
kidnapped him and took him to the Northern Water Tribes' chief, Usan Karrio.
Eventually he escaped back to the fire nation and became a part of
the fire-bending fire fighters. (a fictional group of fire-fighters I made up)
Then went on to become a part of Avatar Luke's Team Avatar along with
young Airbender girl Yo, Earthbender Chang, and waterbender Lily.
This takes place twelve years after the Legend of Korra. Sorry about the bad
character description but I was trying to keep it short!

"Gloria wasn't actually your sister," I say casually, picking something out of my nails with a poison dagger. It's handy to be immune to poison.

The girl pauses. "Um... yes... yes she is! What-"

"Your eyes betrayed you," I said casually. "You try to act like you do nothing wrong, but you lack morals. But you have a conscience. You are fairly experienced in lying and you are a nomad. Oh, you're an orphan. That makes sense. "

They both stare at me.

"I know how to read people's faces," I shrug.

Suddenly a boy tumbles out of the mist, wielding fire. I put up an ice shield.

Luke~

I tumble out of the bushes, crashing into someone's ice shield.

"Who're--?"

"No time." I say, turning around and throwing at knife into the bushes. I miss, and he comes out.

"It looks like you have company, Luke." He says, his eyes shimmering. I growl and lunge toward him. He steps to the side and I go head first into the dust. I look up, facing the cloak surronding his cold, blue eyes.

Alfonso~

"Okay, what on earth are you doing here?!" I ask, pointing to the boy.

"And I don't even know what you want!" I say, gesturing towards Moonstalker.

I sigh. "Okay, look, I just need an airbender to do me a quick favor. Or fix my gun. I reckon one of you will?" I say, pulling out a huge sack of gold. Now, where would mountain parteners like Clutch and I get money? Well, the festival.

I push the money aside and walk up to his gun. "Simple," I say, recalibrating the core wire.

He looks astonished. "You don't want payment?" he asks.

"No," I say, "I hunt my own food."

We turn and see the two people fighting.

"We ought to help," the boy says.

"Agreed," I say.

Luke~

I punch the cloaked man in the face, and gasp for breath.

"It's quite fine if you don't. However, I'm pretty sure you want to keep--(I shake the man into the ground again)that I'm not--(Punches him again) the avatar." that's when I nearly crush the man with ice.

"Well, since we already saw you do fire, and now you just did water, we're pretty convinced." One of the girls replies, eyeing the man carefully.

"Yahuh." I glance at them. There are three girls, including the one who just talked, and a boy besides me. I smile toward them and pick myself up from the ground.

"You probably heard him say my name, Luke. Luke Jackawa."

"I'm the Moonstalker." So that's the girl who seems been slightly sarcastic about my intriging entrance.

"Ah, the Moonstalker! I have heard you're going to take my job. However, you only control water." I snarl. She raises her eyebrows in surprise.

"I don't mean to take you job. Actually, none of that at all!" She says, smiling. I nod my head.

"Anywho, what are your names?"

"I'm the Moonstalker," I said. I gently let the mist drift onto his shoulder.

"What are-" he started.

I turned it into ice and blocked his chi.

"Hey!" he gasped. He tried to make fire, and failed.

I laughed, an eerie, tinkling sound. "I may not have your powers," I whispered and leaned closer, "but don't underestimate me."

As I turned around, I heard him reaching to grab a rock to throw. I deflected it with my knives.

"Careful," I said, "don't make me angry."

Suddenly I heard screams. The others didn't, but I stiffened and looked around. Suddenly a crossbow bolt whistled past my head.

"Cover the avatar!" I yelled, going back to back with the gun-wielding boy.

Luke~

I roll my eyes. Cover the avatar.

"I can take care of myself. Besides, it seems like you don't need me. goodbye," I reply cooly. The girl frowns.

"I don't-"

"I'm pretty sure we're underestimating each other. For your information, I can control water as well as fire." I slick the ground into the ice slid down the hill. I hear them calling for me, and I laugh out loud.

Thank goodness I got rid of those dorks!

Alfonso~

I'm amazed at how  quickly the Moonstalker fixes my gun. And when fighting breaks out, I'm happy to help her.

"Cover the Avatar!" she yells. I set my gun to water, and suck up the water and rain. I shoot wave after wave at the Avatar's attacker.

"If we can get him back to my cave, then my turrets can protect us!" I shout back. "By the way, moonstalker, my name is Alfonso Scarab. A non-bender."

~Asyra~

I am not the best, nor the politest, in fights. Nor the most subtle. I can fight, true, but generally don't. I instead rely on my mouth. Believe it or not, I can be quite charming.

"HEY!" I shout. I admit, it sounded very swawk-y.

Surprisingly, they do stop, possibly more out of surprise than anything else. Turning their faces towards the bossy girl, who, by some accident, is a safe distance from the fight. Me."Stop fighting, you're giving me a headache."

"What--" says one of the boys.

"Shut up!" Me again. I swear, when I want I can be charming. "You've done nothing but fight since we met each other! First, you--" I point at where the so-called 'avatar' should have been. It seems he's no longer present.

"I'm still listening!" he calls.

"You're giving me a headache!" I shout again. "All of you! Goodbye! I'm actually leaving this time! Good riddance!" I stomp away, and promptly slip down the iced-over hill, and hit the ground hard. The avatar is right. You can hear pretty well down here. At least, I could hear them laughing.

"I'm sorry this was so abrupt," I say, freezing the attacker in one of the waves Alf sends out.

"If you'd like to come to my home, I can teach you water bending," I call to the Avatar.

He smirks like the rotten boy he is. "I know waterbending."

"You do?" I ask. "Then let's duel."

We space out, prepared to fight. He sends a blast of water at me, the oldest trick in the book. I flick my finger and deflect it.

I let him tire himself out. He's panting by now. When he least expected it, I slammed him into the sky before freezing all but his head in a block of ice.

He tries to melt the ice, and I just keep making layers. Finally he gives up.

"Fine," he manages to pant, "I'll come."

Alex~

All the heavy rain that had been pounding Alex's head for the past hour had finally turned into snow. Snow? In the fire nation? That doesn't happen often. Thought Alex to himself as he trudged through the deep white stuff. Though he was in the northern part of the Fire Nation, so it wasn't un heard of. Just then, he heard a loud crash and a shout coming from ahead. Alex quickened his pace. He finally came into a clearing where he saw a group of people fighting, or it looked like fighting. One person kept waterbending at the other, but the other person kept blocking it and sending a chunk of ice or a jet of water and knocking the attacker down. The other people were just watching. They're sparring! Thought Alex. "Helloooo out there!" The people turned. One of them waved.

One of the combatants started walking towards me. It was a boy, about Alex's age. "Hi, I didn't know anybody else would be out here this time of night." They shook hands. "The name's Luke."

"Alex. Good to meet you." The rest of the group walked up. There was a chorus of greetings and handshakes. "Wow," said Alex, "the Moonstalker? Awesome!" He turned back to the boy. "You said your name was Luke, right?"

"The one and only!"

Alex gasped, then beamed. "Well, well. Nice to finally meet you, Avatar."

Luke~

I grin.

"Pretty easy to tell, eh?" I stuff my fingers into my pockets and look toward the Moonstalker.

"I had heard you first bended fire, correct?" Alex asks me.

"Yup. Moon here is going to show me more ice bleh. To be honest, I only know how to send blasts of water. I accidentally froze my friend's arm once when I was young, but that's beside the point." I grin again. Moonstalker clears her throat and I roll my eyes.

"Okay, okay, we can start." I sent some water into her face and she frowns.
