The Elf RP

The Elf RP

The Elf RP

Okay, so my Everlasting RP started eight days ago, and we voted for genres, and then for plot ideas. However, two plot ideas tied.

Normally, in this situation, there would be a runoff between the two, and I'm also aware that I said this would be the case. However, I fear that we are at serious risk of losing th people that have joined, because, quite frankly, this is taking a very long time. =)

Also, there are clearly enough people interested in both RPs to make them both work. This is a good thing! Two for the price of one!

Brookeira submittedthe following idea, and it tied for first with four votes.

We are all either a) Elves or b) Fairies. There is a war in our lands. The elf races are;

Frost elves. Typically peaceful. They are the most powerful and are either druids, clerics, bards, or, rarely, fighters. They are all very wise and intelligent.

Sun elves. Typically war-like. They are fighters and rogues, sometimes barbarians. They are very war-like, athletic, and barbaric.

Wood elves. These are diverse in personality. They can be druids, fighters, rogues, clerics, and bards.

The fairy races are:

Tinania's court: They are kind. Titania is powerful, and kind, but also very tough. They use plants and sunlight magic.

Oberon's court: They are cruel. Oberon is powerful, but not as powerful as Titania. His liuetenent Puck makes up for it. Oberon is cruel, serious, and cunning. Puck is mischievious and, though he just looks like a dirty woodland sprite, is very dangerous.

I will be leaving management of this RP to Brookeira, as it was her idea. However, this is still part of the Everlasting RP! Make it . . . erm . . . last!

Eric~

I was completely caught by surprise when Faren snuck up behind me. I don't think he was the only one spying on me, though. "I wish the Wood Elves would realize that not all of the Sun Elves were evil, though," I start. "I am sure that I was being followed by one, also. There has to be some way that some of the sun elves can prove that they are not allied with Oberon's court!" We then walk into the main camp to report our findings. However, I can't stop thinking of the hostilities between the elves even as I report the attack.

Frost-

I slide my scimitar under Faren's throat threateningly. He comes to a halt, not daring to move for fear of my sword.

"Let him go!" calls a boy. I read his mind: Eric. I freeze his lower half in ice and turn back to Faren.

"So, Faren," I say, "are the sun elves allied with Oberon's court?"

"No!" they both yell angrily. I laugh. Suddenly a chnk of ice collides with my head, and I see Eric has thrown a piece.

"Oh," I say, "you really shouldn't have done that."

Twenty frost elf druids step out of the woods, staffs pulsing.

(BTW, Faren and Eric, you guys can't be OP and beat all of these guys.)

Eric~

"Okay, I admit, "We're in trouble."

We had stepped out of the tent and decided to scout the outside area when a Frost Elf ambushed us. And I am right. I am in trouble. After all, how are we supposed to take on 21 frost elves with only two sun elves? Unfortunately, I am also immobilized from the waist down. I have no idea what will happen if we surrender, but it seems like the only choice.

Carric~

I am walking back to camp when I hear the shouting. It can only mean one thing: a battle. Muttering something about Oberon's Court, I race toward the fairy's village and finger one of my arrows. I leap over a small barricade and join the fray.

Is it too late to join?

I forgot to mention. Venus is a higher-ranking fairy and is human-sized, but has wings-- clear dragonfly wings. Also, she has a few special plants that she uses like Pokèmon. She won't use just any plant! These plants are souped-up versions of ordinary plants.

Venus~

I zip over the landscape to join the fray with Oberon's Court. Those barbaric, cruel mongrels disgrace the name of fairy. I bring out Ivy, my poison ivy. "Ivy! Tie 'em up!" I cry. Ivy wraps the Oberon's Court peeps up, scalding them with her poisoned leaves. "Aphrodite! Chew them up and spit them put on the grass!" Aphrodite, my Venus Flytrap, scoops up some Oberon's Courtians and spits them out onto the grass, where they lie stunned and moaning. I concentrate the sunlight into a powerful ray and cut off reinforcements for Oberon's Court.

Even though I am a formidable opponent, I have the vow. I cannot kill any elf or fairy, or I shall be killed myself. I scare them, leave them incapacitated, bug never kill them. That is against my principles.

"Corpsebloom! Cadaverbloom!" My rafflesia and Titan Arum report. "Knock'em out!" My fellow Titania's Courtians know what to do. They pinch their noses shut.

They send a wave of putrid stench across the battlefield. Everyone unprepared immediately faints from the smell.

A job well done!

Carric~

I really shouldn't have joined the fray.

Right when I did, a huge wave of stink filled the air, and I was knocked out for who knows how long. Now, I am only awake because of a chest of strong mint from the Northern forests that I managed to open just before the stink knocked me out. I assume that I have been out for 15 to 24 minutes. I realized that Titania's court would be a good person to ally with. I manage to get out of the town before I realize that someone else is in the forest area around the village.

To me, it is okay. 7 players doesn't seem like enough right now, as I can see that this is starting to die. I really think the more CBers doing this, the more likely we are to continue this. After all, an everlasting RP is supposed to last. If the others are okay with it also, I say go ahead!

Okay, please join! I will write something from Puck's perspective.

Puck:

The flowers ooze their sickening spray, hissing as it is released. I laugh, a high, eerie sound, and leap twenty feet into the air. The powerful girl (her name is Venus, I read her mind) is trying to knock out mny forces. I send a powerful blast her way that knocks her out of the sky. She groans and leaps to her feet. "Ivy, tie him up! Aphrodite, chew him up! Sunlight, blind him! Corpsebloom, Cadaverbloom, knock him out!"

I laugh. "I was hoping you would do that," I hiss, looking at the plants as they lunge. The fairy's triumphant gaze turns to fear as her beloved plants sudeenly turn to her and I dodge the sunbeam. "I've taught them a new order... destroy.

Venus screams as Ivy wraps around her, Aphrodite standing like an ominous sentinel in case she tries to fly away. Corpsebloom and Cadaverbloom cut off any other routes.

"Call off your forces, Titania-gleaned scum," I growl.

"Plants! Stop!" she cries. I cackle.

"Sorry, dearie," I say, I have a power that belongs to me and me only: Charmspeake. Call off your forces, and your plants will be yours again."

(Hey Venus, if you want to know, Puck's weakness is that he can under no circumstances control light. But be warned: he can teleport and is good at dodging. His powers include: Transfiguration, Teleportation, Charmspeake, and a few others.)

Venus~

There seems to be no way out of this. Then I convulse.

"No... not here... not now..." I say.

I convulse again.

"Here. Now."

I give up and convulse a final time as the transformation begins.

My clear dragonfly wings become wide, buzzing, huge locust wings. My clothes and skin become carapace. My dainty fairy hands become talons. My teeth become needle sharp and my tongue triple forked as I grow a tail with a toxic barb at the end. I open my eyes, glowing bright red.

This is embarrassing. But yes, I am an Insectoid.

I let out a demonic scream and break free of Ivy's grip. I soar up into the sky. "Now you've made me ANGRY," I say, in a buzzing, warbling noise that is like a swarm of insects given voice.

Puck is surprised, but regains his composure. I strike at him with my taloned hand faster than he can teleport. He pulls out an extra large thorn. He swings at me just as I pierced him with my tail. It'll take more to kill either of us, but we've injured one another and good. I buzz toward the Golden Forest as I say, "A plague... upon... Oberon's Court."

Then I plummet into the forest, leaving yellow insect blood falling as Puck falls to the ground in the middle of my legions.

Frost-

"Now, boys," I ask the two rather grumpy-looking sun elves, "I do not like to interrogate our enemies for too long... but where is your camp?"

"To the south, in Darkhelm woods," Eric says.

"Good try, Eric son of Tarnik Fireflare," I smile mirthlessly, "and it is a very bad idea to steal a druid's staff."

Faren lowers his hand smoothly. He's definitely a rogue.

"I will ransom you on the battlefield," I tell them. "As you know, the fighting has been going on for a few hours. Currently, Oberon's and Titania's Courts are tied, but both the sun elves and wood elves aren't doing very well."

The boys struggle as, with a flick of his wrist, one of our druids wraps them in vines.

"Come along," I tell them, leading the way as the druids pull our hoods over our faces.

Puck:

It's a victory for me.

I thought she would merely die. But no, she revealed herself to be something that should have belonged in the darkest guts of Oberon's Court.

Won't Titania be angry.

I cackle and race into the woods, following her scent. I find her. She's already morphed back into a fae and is clutching her side. She never even learned MINOR healing spells? Of course, I'm still bleeding, but not all over the place.

"What are you doing here?" she snaps. I laugh giddily.

"Won't Titania be angry?" I snicker, "WON'T TITANIA BE ANGRY?"

"No... you wouldn't," Venus goes white.

"Oh, yes I would, dearie. The King of Shadows will be interested in you, shadow-spawned beast."

"I... Am.... NOT.... SHADOW-SPAWN!"

She morphs into her insectoid form and lunges for me. I cackle and she freezes.

"What... are... you..." she asks before finding herself turning around in a circle against her will.

"You can't Charmspeake humans or fairies or elves!" she rasps.

"Oh, yes, I know, but I can Charmspeake INSECTS."

"Robin, what are you doing with that insectiod?"

I turn around and bow. I force the insectiod girl to bow too. Oberon notices my wound and heals it. I bow again.

Oberon is wrapped in shadows. He has a cape made of thorns and a crown made of bones.

"Won't Titania be angry?"

I see Puck and Oberon up in the sky, taunting a Titania's Courtian who also happens to be an Insectoid. I click my tounge in distaste.

One must always be cautious when dealing with fire arrows. They ignite due to the friction of the air against the shaft. I can't kill either of them-- after all, I'm a simple rogue-- but my firs arrows can provide distraction. I load carefully, take careful aim. And fire.

The Insectoid buzzes away as Puck and Oberon are distracted by their heads being on fire. They're screaming "PUT IT OUT PUT IT OUT PUT IT OOOOOOUUUUUUUTTTTTTT!!!!!"

Eric~

Well, this is bad. I am about to be ransomed by an army of Frost Elves. Yet another thing to add to my long list of things I hate about them. And there is no way out of it. I try every possible solution, but the lead Frost Elf catches it. I can only cross my fingers and hope for the end.
