The world of

Chatterbox: Inkwell

The world of

The world of Decepmyth

Everyone knows that there is a fantasy land somewhere out there. Some people translate it as Neverland, or Narnia. Others say that this fantasy land is a part of our world that we are oblivious to. For example, Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, or Camp Halfblood and the idea of the greek myths living among us. However you think of this land, there is one thing we can all agree upon: that it is real.

Welcome to Decepmyth; the world of deception and illusion, my translation of this fantasy land. Decepmyth can only be reached by one way, and that is words. Words are the only thing that come close to describing Decepmyth, though it remains indescribable. Perhaps the closest accounts of Decepmyth are described in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, as it is a snow covered land with an abundance of darkness, evil and magic, as well as beautiful wonders beyond your imagination. If you dare to journey into this land, I will be your guide, but be warned, I can not tell you if you will come out alive or not. You may discover that there is a much bigger power in Decepmyth than you ever dreamed of, and one of you holds the key to it.

Do you dare to venture into the land of Decepmyth?

And now we venture into the depths of Surrealism as we prepare to discover a new, dangerous secret...

Day 5

Masked Piester was energetic. She was so energectic that when Curio flew into the cave bearing Will, Kate and Brookeira on her back, Curio received a pie-in-the-face welcome. Everyone was awake now, and complaining about how “how they couldn’t get any sleep,” and asking irritatedly “would everyone please stop whispering?”

“What? How? Where? DRAGON!?” Volcano sat up suddenly at the sight of Curio; vigorously patting out a small flame creeping up her hair.

“We come in peace. Please don’t pie us,” Will announced, scrambling off of Curio’s back.

“Another dragon? All we need is more dragons!” Silvery Ink moaned. Curio glared at the silver, ghostly form of Silvery Ink. Shadow Dragon’s mysterious grey eyes flared with silent indignation.

“Dragons?” Ace muttered sleepily, “Where?” Curio flapped her wings against the cavern walls and roared.

“Oh. That dragon.” Kate opened her mouth to say something, but Pete the Trollslayer cut her off.

“Where’s Indigo?” He questioned.

“She was here a second ago...” Wren said.

“She’s right behind-” Booksy Owly gulped, “the statue.”

“No she isn’t. Hey... look at this!” Misti exclaimed upon finding the indigo-colored diamond.

“Mine!” Shifting declared, snatching the jewel up as quickly as lightning strikes.

“Uh... mine?” Baelfire spoke timidly.

“WAIT! Indigo was right there. That isn’t a diamond... that’s Indigo!” Booksy Owly exclaimed, hyperventilating.

“It is still a diamond, and I call it!” Shifting Sands demanded.

“No one can get any sleep around here!” Maple moaned, rubbing her eyes.

“Somebody turned Indigo into a diamond?!” Danie roared.

Somebody is frozen. She couldn’t have done anything to Indigo,” Squeak corrected his sister.

“I meant someone mousehead,” Danie retorted.

John F.Q. was speechless. He was supposed to find the possible heirs, keep them alive and try to do away with whoever was stirring up trouble. Everyone was supposed to think that he had fallen into Decepmyth like all the other adventurers, while he secretly guided them and protected them. If he revealed his identity to Elizabeth now, Plan A would crumple to pieces. He would become the main target of Queen Magenta’s heir. John stared into Elizabeth’s grey-blue eyes. They were trusting, as he had thought before, but why was she accusing him? Could she have questions too? Was she looking to him to provide answers? If I answer her, I put myself in danger.

“You can trust me,” Elizabeth said solemnly. John took a deep breath.

“All right. I’ll tell you everything I know.”
