Fantasy RPG
Rules:
1. If you join please please PLEASE stick to this RPG.
2. Only one charrie. And it must NOT be overpowered. They must have weaknesses. People with a more Snape-like character and especially one who loses at things sometimes are much much better than Mary Sues.
3. No godmodding.
4. This is NOT a fast-paced RPG. I suggest you edit and plan your posts. Insert description. If you are posting more than once a day I would appreciate you slowing down a bit.
5. Have fun.
They live in a sprawling country hidden by a crust of long-dead volcanoes and surrounded on all sides but one with sea. There is a king, a queen, princes and princesses but there are other positions of power- there are the queen’s handmaidens, who are her messengers and advise her, and there are the Mage Guilds, who work with the monarchy to protect their little kingdom. Just to switch things up, in this world the Queen is in a higher position than the King. It is more likely for Mages to be girls than boys.
Mage powers:
Fire, lightning, earthbending, making plants grow, telepathy, telekinines (but the last two only work for adult mages)
I’m thinking we could just do some court intruige. Love triangles maybe a bit of a rebellion and some betrayl along the way all works great.
Here are some characters I think it would be nice to use:
-A villain (A Mage who wants to marry the eldest princess)
-Handmaiden to the queen (who just might actually work for the villain)
-The queen
-The eldest princess (In love with a guard who always protects her faithfully. Her parents want her to marry the villain.) [14-18]

- The next oldest princess (who is actually adopted from a mage family) (Yes she has magic- but only ONE power) [11-14]

Age: 42
Character type: Queen
Appearance: She has red streaked bronze hair pulled up into a high tight ponytail or braid. She has tapering fingers and violet eyes. She has lightly tanned skin.
Powers/talents: She conveys authority and her citizens are very loyal. She also is good at shooting arrows and weaving.
Weaknesses: She is bossy and set in her ways. She makes all of her children wear formal clothes all of the time, and she makes them attend all manner of banquets.
Personality: Slightly bossy, set in her ways. She is just and kind but isn't very brave. She also indulges in her riches a little too much sometimes. She collects shoes. However she is on good terms with her handmaidens.
Habits: Folding her hands, standing up very straight

appearance: golden blonde hair to her waist, average skin tone, light silver-blue eyes, petite
powers/ talents: fire Mage-power, and along the lines of princessly skills, very good at poetry.
weaknesses: Not very worldly. Not good at defending herself- never imagined herself in the situation, so when it comes she might be unprepared and just run away, or need to be saved by someone else. No real fighting skills, and isn't very good at estimating someone's strength-is prone to both over- and underestimating people. She's very smart, but she's a twelve-year-old girl, not a professional warrior, and has to remember to plan around her own weaknesses.
personality: smart, witty, free-spirited. Good at stratagem but almost helpless against brute strength, so needs others' help to pull things off. Avoids stressing about problems, and just deals with them calmly. Gets annoyed when people panic, and hates when people over-complicate things.
Is that okay? I made my character (...charrie?...)'s last name the same as the Queen's, presuming the princess is her daughter. Unless you want me to change it, since she's adopted. Either way.

Character type: Thief
Appearance: pixie-cut Fiery red hair, dark green eyes, short in height and a bit skinny.
Talents: She is a good briber and pick-pocket.
Weaknesses: She likes to work alone, and hates people. She also doesn't know much about the castle and queen, and her knowledge only consists of pick-pocketing and thief stuff.
Personality: Sarcastic, sneaky, very mschevious. Likes to pull pranks, and lies a whole lot. She's a fast-paced girl. Not the kindest person ever, and isn't honest at all.

Name: Callidus Zoroto
Age: 27
Character type: villain
Appearance: A very tall, well dressed man, with a beard like Jafar's but straighter. He has piercing orange eyes that almost look like they conceal flames within his mind.
Powers/talents: As you may have guessed, he specializes in fire tactics, but also possesses some telepathy. He can be very persuasive.
Weaknesses: Unlike your typical marry-the-princess-to-become-king villain, Callidus was an outcast in the small wooded mage kingdom where he grew up. Everyone there had earth abilities, so he, even though his father was king, became an outcast. Callidus' younger brother became king, even though he was next in line. In a rage, Callidus burned down the forest and became obsessed with gaining leadership which had been stolen from him. He is still haunted by flashbacks of how he was abused when he lived in the forest, which weaken him. He also has a VERY short temper, but the only person he doesn't get angry at it the queen.
Personality: In the presence of the queen, he is very good-natured. Around almost anyone else he will be in a small but constant rage. He often takes out this rage on enemies of the kingdom, which is why he is respected as a powerful mage by the king and queen.
Habits: Pacing, mumbling. He often sets small trees on fire because they remind him of his past. He enjoys tormenting earth mages, whether they are threatening or not.

You know what, I'm just going to make a charrie. Though I will be gone this next week, so she could be off on royal duties and stuff.
Name: Shaelle Le' Shyle
Age: 15 1/2, soon to be 16.
Character Type: Eldest Princess
Appearance: Wavy bronze colored hair. Bright violet eyes. Thin. Okay, let's just say she is the younger, pale image of her mother. Her ears and cheeks turn red when flustered.
Talents: She has an amazing voice. Is smart.
Weaknesses: Somewhat awkward. Get flustered when nervous. She has inherited her mother's stubborness. Dancing. She is terrible at dancing, so she usually lets the boy lead during balls. High heals.
Personality: Imaginitive. Introverted. Petite. Gets anxiety when things don't go the way it's planned. A lot. Likes to wander around the castle gardens. Ithelps calm her down. Likes to spend time with Estella (or they could have sibling rivalry. Whichever you want).
Habits: Humming. Tapping her foot.

Character type: Handmaiden to the Queen
Appearance: She has golden hair twisted into a bun. She has brown eyes and freckles which stand out against her pale skin. She is short compared to others in the court.
Powers/talents: She is a good at lying and playing obedient. She is a master at the piano.
Weaknesses: She always feels guilty about lying. Whenever she makes a mistake in household activities or in music she obsesses over it. She can be a little too obedient to the Queen at times.
Personality: Kind and listening though haughty to those under her. Can enjoy the Queen's company and is eloquent.
Habits: Staring off in space and tapping her fingers as if playing the piano.

I'm just gonna add some more information about my character:
He met an old witch on the road after burning down the earth mage forest. She was the one who set him up with his job at the castle, promising that he would one day marry the princess and gain the leadership he had always desired, but at one cost. She would get to have half of his powers once he became king, making him a signifigantly less powerful mage.
Also, he has no idea to this day why he was born in the earth mage forest and yet has fire powers.
One more thing: I want him to eventually turn good.

Character Type: The Princess's knight.
Appearance: He has a grand, charming smile that wins the heart of anyone. He has slight dimples along his freckled cheeks. Overall he is handsome. Very handsome. He has wild, sandy hair that drives girls crazy because he never brushes it. He is tall with broad shoulder and muscular arm and legs. His ears turn red when he is embarrassed.
Powers/Talents: He can sing in a very deep voice. He has a kind, Trustworthy air around him giving him the ability to convince anyone of almost anything. He doesn't like to admit the fact that he knits.
Weakness: He, when in the midst of battle or something, can go completely against orders and rely on instinct. Sometimes it works out, sometimes not. His weakness is anybody in trouble, especially when it comes to a certain someone...When annoyed his voice tends to raise.
Personality: Kind and compassionate. He almost always is singing or whistling. He smiles and enjoys a good joke, unless it truly hurts someone. He feels that girls shouldn't be warriors because how else would there be maidens? He will critise if he feels it will help build them up. He will not hesitate to stop everything to save anything as small as a butterfly. He enjoys conversation but he never starts a conversation unless he needs to.
Habits: Biting his lip.
