DARK AGES RP!!!!

DARK AGES RP!!!!

DARK AGES RP!!!!

I know there are waay to many Rps, but half of them are dying.

Are any of you familiar with Medieval history? There are three parts to it.. The dark ages, The High Middle Ages, and the Late Middle Ages.

Dark Ages: This is when the barbarians destroyed Rome (mostly) It is called the Dark Ages because we know basically nothing about it. The Barbarians destroyed tons of literature and important stuff. Also, because they weren't a learned people, they left no literature behind!!

Where do you think that all the crazy, mystical creatures come from? I believe they come from the Barbarians, who left little knowledge behind for us. As for these creatures? Simply passed down from generation to generation, eventually taken as simple myths. Yes, fairies and dragons were real, elves and dwarves too.

So basically this is a Rp about the Barbarians at sea. They, on a journey across the sea, encounter a mystical bit of land, with all sorts of magic.

Rules:

Be nice and respectful.

You can have two charries as long as they are opposite genders and opposite occupations (Barbarian or Mythical creatures)

I kinda want the Rp to move slowish. One or two posts a day. Take your time and think it over.

Charrie form: (Mythical)

Charrie form: (Barbarian)

Boat job: (Woman's: Cook, repairing clothing. Stuff like that. Men's: Oarsmen, captain (25+years), first mate, gunsman, ect.)

Okay...one more thing. If you have a girl Barbarian, she is not a warrior. She is a woman and therefore must act like one. They can, however, wear. pants.

I will make my charries soon. I call Dragon hybrid!!

Okay, sorry if these seems a little strict, but honestly a 17 year old Captain just wouldn't work. There will be multiple ships with ours, but we will all stick to one boat. Except for the mythical creatures of course.

Janeese~

"Heave!" the drummer calls in-time with the beat of his drum. I pull backward, grunting as sweat pours down my brow. My break is in about fiftenn minutes, I can manage that much longer.

About five minutes before my break the whole ship stops moving, drifting on the sea surrounded by fog. I look around and follow the other men's gaze, my jaw dropping open. A cliff face stands next to our boat, fog covering the top. I can make out the faded trees atop the cliff, and something moving. I shake my head, my eyes locking on the spot where it had been. "Just a tree," I mutter, breaking the eerie silence settled over our boat. The fog is just thick enough I can't see the front of the boat and can only hear the drumming of the other ships in the distance. A bright red glow appears in the fog, only for a fragile second, but enough for the men to see it. "What was that?" my partner whispers.

"Fire?" another asks.

I shake my head, "Couldn' be." Screams fill the air and I stand corrected. A large, white creature with the scales of a fish and the wings of a bat flies above us, breathing fire.

The drumming begins, the boat moves, the boat burns.

"PULL TO SHORE!" Captain yells.

Maple~

"What was that?" I murmur to myself, looking out from the top of one of my maple trees. "What's going on?"
A large, white creature with the scales of a fish and the wings of a bat is flying over the town.

"What can I do?" I asked myself, watching as the creature starts breathing fire. "I need to save the town! And that creature will most definitely come up here!"

I twirl my green hair around my finger, biting my lip, deep in thought. What can I do?

Finally, after many mental protests, the honest anwer breaks through.

Nothing.

The boat sailing around suddenly catches on fire. It'll be my trees next, I know.

I leap out of the top of the tree, land on all fours, and start walking, touching each maple in turn.

Good-bye, tree. Good-bye, tree. You were a good perch. You were a good home. You spent your seven hundred years well. Good luck. Good-bye.

I can't be too far away from a maple tree, so I'll need to find the next closest forest. I find it quickly: a patch of twigs in the distance.

I leap off of the top ofthe cliff and land on the bottom. Running around the flaming town, I reach the woods and climb the nearest tree.

"AH!"

I clutch my heart as a sharp pang echos through it. Glancing up, I see it happening.

Flames lick at my trees, my lovely mini-forest of maples. A few tears drip down my cheeks, dripping off my face and onto my bare legs.

Good-bye, my friends.

Good-bye, my home.

I think Mira is a little bit OP, so I'm making it so that after performing ten or so basic spells, or five harder ones, she becomes worn out, and can't do magic for about an hour.

Josie the CAPTCHA says gber. Don't you mean CBer, Josie?

Mira~

I fly over the treetops, searching for someting to do.

Fire!

Maple's trees were on fire! Maybe I could help her. I dart down to the forest floor.

"Maple! Where are you? Are you okay?"

"Mira!" Maple shouts.

I look up. Oh, there she is, in that tree!

"Can you help?"

"I think so!" I yell back.

Water! I think, pointing my finger at a burning tree. A jet of water erupts from my pointer digit, extinguishing the flames. I move my hand to the other trees. One by one, the trees are put out.

"Thank you!" Maple gushes.

"I'm glad I could help," I reply. "I hope you're okay. What happened to make them catch on fire?"

"There was this creature. It had the wings of a bat and the scales of fish. I've never seen another animal like it. It breathes fire and set a boat on fire, as well as my forest."

"Oh, gosh!" I say.

Isiana~

I growl, looking up at the massive dragon. Who woke him? I thought he was supposed to sleep for another hundred years or so. I shake my head, my wings shivering. I turn and walk toward the cliff, staring down a massive boat. I can barely see it in the fog. Who are these people?

Marco~

"Abandon ship!" Cries the Captain as flames leap around us. "To the isle!" The sailors start jumping overbored.  "We can't save her!" he calls back to me. "Go!"

Fire crackles all around me, ruthless, devovering. "l'd rather be a dead hero than a live corward!" l shout, over the splintering of wood as the mast falls. "l will not run like a beaten dog!"

"You'll die!"

No l wouldn't. l think grimly. He doesn't know. None of them do.

The flame rises higher, almost engulfing me as l stand alone on the deck. l will not dessart the ship for some strange isle. Heat, threatening to burn me to ashes. Except it wouldn't.

Shayera~

Well, now, what do we have here?  l smell a fire. It's irrataing my gills. From my perch in the tree, l see flames licking up from the forest. Not good, not good at all.  l jump down from the tree, and run hastily torwards the shore.

l climb to a cliff, overloooking the sea, the peer down. There's a boat, burning, flames raging about it. l lash my tail.

Silly sailors. Can't swim to save their lives.  Maybe l could dive down there and frighten them.

"Who are you?" l spin around with a hiss, baring my fangs.

Maple~
I give a start as I look at this creature, but slowly calm down. It may not be hostile. Maybe.

"What are you doing in my forest?" I continue, pretending I hadn't just gotten a shock. "If you're here to harm it, then I suggest you get out now."
"Like I'd want to," the creature scoffs. "I'm just avoiding the fire."
"Well, don't do it here," I reply. "This is an important area and well protected."

She looks me up and down. "What, by you? Yeah, right. I could beat you in a second. Anyway, it doesn't matter, because I don't live here."
I examine her for a minute. She looks like a sea creature, kind of.

"If you don't live here, what are you doing here? Fire doesn't affect water. Go back to the ocean where you belong."

Isiana~

I land softly, looking at the group of strangers. They look, normal, but strong. They seem to lack the irregularity that we all have on this island, the only difference seems to be their looks. One handsome sailor catches my eyes and I watch him as he climbs with immense strength. He has irregularly spiky hair, black, and a pointed nose. He looks up and meets my eyes. It startles him and he falls backward onto another sailor. I step back into the fog as I see him looking up again.

Who are these people? What do they want with us?

Are they hostile?
