Winterpaw

I stretch and puff out my tail. The apprentice den is quiet. The other apprentices must have already left for dawn patrol. Padding out of the den, I see Blossomstar in the center of the camp, the morning border patrol talking frantically to her.

I can't make out their words, but Blossomstar looks alarmed. She nods and dismisses the cats. 

What's going on? I think. Is it a fox? A badger? I hope we aren't in danger!

A few hours earlier.... 

Eaglepaw

I slide out of the apprentices den. The others are still snoozing. It's too early for a dawn patrol, I know, and if I get caught things might get sticky. But I know how to time this just right. The cat on watch looks the wrong way and I slip out of the camp and into the woods. I chuckle and move toward the stream. Lightningclan is the infinetly better clan, but I know their ways. They don't know mine though. They'll never know about this... 

Shadowfur: Today my mate is ruffled, well more than ideal usall. It worries me. Maybe she should talk to Moonshadow, but for now I need to mentor Blazepaw. He needs to work on his hunting.

Moonpaw: Shadowfur seems worried a lot lately, it makes me sad and that's not good, but soon I'm supposed to go and hunt with my mentor!

Thornkit ~

"Come on, you guys!" I yell to Fawnkit and Doekit as I push through the bracken. They can be SO slow sometimes! "Quiet down a little, Thornkit!" Doekit whispered nervously, whipping her her head from side to side. "It's Sunhigh, and someone could easily hear or see us, and you know we're not supposed to be here, now especially, when Blossomstar seems so worried!" "Ah, you worry too much, Doekit. They could only see or hear us if they knew were we are, and we're the only ones who know this passage is here! Ingenious, huh? And what are we doing in our hideout anyways, Thornkit? Fawnkit enthusiastically stated. They were in a inclosed area of the woods, back behind the nursery. It was as big as the nursery, which was the closest den to them at the moment, but shaped like a tunnel. Thornkit cleared his throat nervously. "See, that's the very thing. We're not be the only ones who know about this place any more." Another cat, around their age, stepped into the clearing. "This is Leaf." The She- cat, Leaf, looked around for a second, than said, "Is the Clan you were talking about, Thornkit? It seems awfully small and young. Where's your Leader? I live in a group at cats too, but they don't call themselves a Clan. Our Leader is Rock." "Is she a rogue?" Fawnkit whispered loudly and rudely to Doekit and Thornkit. "I think so." Doekit whispered back, not as loudly and rudely at all. "Yes." Thornkit stated loudly and rudely in a whisper back.

Moonshadow~

I open my eyes with an effort, and tell myself to get up. Ripplepaw has been coughing all night, and I feel so tired that I can hardly open my eyes. I turn around to look at her, and her chest is rising and falling regularly. She looks fine. I breath a little sigh of relief. It's been tough, being the only medicine cat since grasspelt died. I wonder if she's proud of me?

Nightpaw ~I see Sandclaw talking with Darkstar and Moonshadow in an urgent matter, it worries me. Then I hear a couple of the warriors talking so I sneak up on them - to eavesdrop, I mean how else will I find out about anything? Mockingbird: What! A clan of dogs! That's so scary! They both turn around and notice me. I run for it. Luckily my sister Moonpaw chases after me thinking it's a game, so the warriors turn around thinking I was just hiding behind them to get away from Moonpaw, but I shouldn't do it again, because then they might get suspicious.

Sandclaw ~ Darkstar, Moonshadow I have some news I had this dream. . . (describes my first post). . . And the border patrol has seen what appears to be a clan of dogs. I wanted your permission Darkstar before taking any further action to protect our clan.

Can I join? I'll be anything!

Is it too late to join? If not, I'd like to participate as Silverstar of GoldClan, if that's okay. Also, is it okay that I made up a new clan? If so, then we just migrated to SunClan's current location. Our previous wherabouts are unknown to all except GoldClan. I am a she-cat with fur that is like silver. It is like armor protecting me, and is the result of becoming a leader in GoldClan. We are part of a mythical race of cats called Metallion. If none of this is okay, then just say so.

Ripplepaw~

I lift my head, breathing in the scent of herbs. I feel the need to get out. Moonshadow won't find out. I'll only be to the willow and back. I slip quietly away. Moonshadow, Darkstar, and Sandclaw seem to be having some sort of conversation. They all look worried. I shrug silently to myself. It's none of my business. I walk out to the willow, my place of solace. Its branches are waving in the breeze, and it feels very comforting to be near it. I catch a whiff of something sharp and unpleasant. Shadowfur would know what it is. It could be something dangerous. I'll go get him.
