Wings of Fire

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Wings of Fire

Wings of Fire RP!

There are a lot of slots to fill... here are their names:

Three guardians (like Kestrel, Dune, and Webs were.)

Five dragonets (and you can be any type of dragon)

Nine extra dragons, and please tell me your name, location, and type; since you guys aren't guardians or dragonets you won't need to start at the starting place. You guys can be princesses if you want.

We will need some people to be queens of the dragons; there are six spots for that, plus three spots for the warring SandWing queens. So nine total.

Everybody can include a description of their dragon if they want, but please definitely include their name!!! Now, no killing, please, because there's no way we can judge fights like that, so just capturing. Nothing too gruesome, either. Remember, this is for fun.

So, for the setting: the dragonets of destiny are trapped in a rainforest, in a cave. The guardians get out through a small tunnel, but it's a maze that only they can get through--plus they never show how they get inside the actual tunnel. They say it's to keep you safe. The prophecy is the same, and you dragonets are 8 years old, like in the books. Find a way to get out, save the world from the warring Sandwing queens (whose names will be known when someone takes the slots), and eat a strange animal for the first time! (since all you ever get to eat is fruit)Smile

I'm the tenth extra dragon; I'm a princess of the SkyWings named Glare. I'm on an expedition in the Mud Kingdom to asses their battle training, so I'm somewhat close to the rainforest. I'm scarlet red, and a good fighter. I hope to someday be queen of the SkyWings. I hope this will be fun!!!!!!! Feel free to ask questions!!!!!! Because I probably forgot something!!!!!!!!

Scorpion

I wish we had a sandy cave. Like an underground desert. With a hole on the top so the sun can shine down onto a big flat rock. That would be nice, really nice.

Deset~

I stare at the snivleing seawing in front of me "Where is the summer palace!!!!!" I growl. "I... I told you I don't know." The seawing tells me. "Oh that's a likly story isn't it Queen Shasta." "I don't think so." she grumbles. "Let me ask you this again. Where is it." I ask. " I told you I don't know!" she whimpers. *Sigh* " Well then I have no chioce." I say. Then I suck up the fire that's deep inside me and breath fire onto the seawing's tail. She screams. I stop the stream of fire. She has some claws missing, a reslut of Queen Shasta's ice breath, and then someone snapping them off. She has a display of scars from where I had scrached her. And now she has a shiny new burn from where I burned her. "Now. She me where it's on the map!" I roar while pionting to the map. She shivers, she's about to the breaking piont. "We almost got it." I murmer to Queen Shasta. "I'ts right there." she says and pionts to a little isand in the Kingdom of the Sea. "Yes!" I roar in trumphet to Queen Shasta. "Put her back and starve her to death.!" I say to one of my gaurds. He hasens to obye... I don't allow slakers and he knows it. "Are your dragons ready for battle Queen Shasta?" I inquirer. "Beacause if they are we could leave in a say... a week from now. Is that sutible for you if you deside to join us?" I ask Queen Shasta.

What's up with all the weird spelling, Moonfrost?

Shasta-

Desert is the worst option for queen and I don't know how we got allied with her. She thinks my dragons are ready for war, but I'm not so bloodthirsty.  Personally, I think all the Sandwing queen options are terrible and maybe there's a more peaceful option. And why are the Sandwings making their lack of queen our problem? They can fight it out themselves. Leave my beautiful Icewings out of this. I also don't think the dragonets of destiny are up to the challenge. I am so mad that that idiot Skyflier stole, literally stole one of my eggs. MY EGGS! They took my animus dragon egg that was half Nightwing! Desert's talking to me-better grunt in agreement- she seems happy. Okay, back to my reverie. If the war happens, and if so, after it, I am going to beat Skyflier up. BEAT HIM UP! And that's if I survive Desert's cruelty. She's nasty, I'm telling you- Desert looks mad-better dash!

"That's ok if you don't want to go. I'll go with my warriors without you." I say to Queen Shasta.

(Sorry if my spelling was a little hard to understand I'm a bad speller.)

It's okay, Moonfrost. Not to be a nerd or anything, but just try harder so I can understand better, because we're allies. Shasta is very disagreeable, just so you know, and just barely tolerates Desert.

Aquamarine~

Finally, after a long morning of attempting to fly from branch to branch, giving up, trudging through the forest, than trying to fly again, I reach the cave. It sits there as always, stubbornly refusing to tell me what secret lies inside. As I begin to approach it to search it, I hear a rustling noise. Tensing, I decide that whatever it is probably won't be to happy to see me. I dive into a bush. Bad choice. It's prickly and thorny, and thoroughly uncomfortable. Trying not to squirm, I stair at the two dragons who are coming towards me. I've never seen suck strange looking dragons in my life. They don't seem to be rainwings, but their scales are red and white. And they're HUGE. Well, compared to me anyways. One of them, the one with large wings and russet-gold colored scales, pulls out strange looking rock. It's flat and round, but see-through. The other one, whose frosty white scales gleam in the tropical sun, is carrying a large load of fruit. In fact, it's so large I don't think that she can speak. The orange one turns to her and says " Frost, don't you think that it's strange that those rainwings never notice us? I mean, we've been here for years, and we haven't met a single one." Frost mutters something under her load of fruit. " Just open the door already, my arms are killing me." Flame shrugs and slides the rock into a slot that I've never noticed before. To my surprise, the door slides open. The dragons walk inside, and it closes again, as if it were never there in the first place. I wait for a minute that seems like an hour, and then, pulling prickles out of my scales as I go, I walk up to the door. As I am examining it, something shiny catches my attention. It is one of the rock things that flame used to open the door, except this time it's white. I stare at it in amazement. That's my ticket in! This is the most interesting thing that's ever happened to me in my life! And I feel really hungry. I wish I had some fish, life those minnows at the pond....... Before I can start to wander, I grab the rock, insert it into the slot, and the door to the cave slowly roles open..........

Cormorant-

I hear something, up near the entrance of the cave. It can't be Flame and Frost, because they came in a couple minutes ago, and Skyflier and Flight are in the cave. I quickly alert the other dragonets, and we race through the cramped tunnels to the entrance. There's a strange SeaWing there. She looks at us, she's about our age. She looks startled to see us. Boulder says, "Uh... Hi. I'm Boulder. Welcome to our cave, I guess..." He grimaces. "What's your name?" The SeaWing just stands there, stunned. Eventually, she squeaks, "I'm Aquamarine... Boulder." This should be fun!I haven't seen another dragon besides the "guardians" and the other dragonets. Much less a free dragonet of my age! "I'm Cormorant. Nice to meet you!" I enthuse. Aquamarine just nods slowly, taking us all in.

Skyflier...

Grrrr. These dragonets are always hungry! And I always have to get the food. Frost won't, she's too busy doing "other" things. So I'm slaving away getting food for little pests. But it's all for the plan, all for the plan. They'll save the world, us guardians will rule alongside them, blahblahblah. But I've got a better thing in mind. I can't tell the others, though. I walk down the tunnel, closer to the exit. Surprised, I notice Flame and Frost carrying a load of fruit as they mumble to each other.

Figuring I should be polite, I say, "I'll get some more fruit, Flame and Frost. And I'll catch us an okapi, too. Maybe a sloth, or an orangutan."

My voice echoes off the sides of the winding cave, and I concentrate once again on th eway out. Left, right, up into the water chamber, right, right, left, up again, through the very icy cold waterfall!!!! press the ro-- A squishy surprise awaits me...

"Ooof!" says the SeaWing. I express my surprise in a much less dignified way:

"...Gaaaahhhhaahhhahhahahahhhahhahah!" ....................Ahem...also I might have flailed my arms a bit and screamed a bit higher than normal. Regaining my composure,  (using a very embarrassing method my mother taught me; "one fuzy scavenger, two fuzzy scavengers, three fuzzy scavengers..."), and thinking I should ask the most important question first, I ask the SeaWing, "WHATINTHEWORLDDIDYOUDOTHATFOR?!?!"

Glare...

The MudWings are so disgusting! Wherever you walk you can see tiny little eyes poking out of the mudmudmudmudmud... it's everywhere! My mother is busy overseeing court affairs, I know, but do I really have to oversee MudWing training? Can't my brother do that? I'm not sure I can stand a month here.

I'd better compose myself. Ugh. I have to teach MudWings how to Flame Barage now...

Skyflier...

The SeaWing looks frightened for a second, then makes a mad dash for the tunnel behind me. I sit there stunned. Then I run into the rainforest. What harm can a SeaWing do to the dragonets? She lives in the rainforest; I've seen her there all the time. She's about as lazy as a RainWing. And she'll never find her way through the labrynth. Only too late do I realize that I never closed the tunnel!

Starfruit ~ I get up to see what's causing all the commotion. Wait, that's an unfamiliar Seawing. Maybe she's here to let us out and complete our destiny! Nooo . . . that's just wishful thinking, because Flame, and Frost are chasing her out of here. I spread my wings flying towards the exit. "Come on guys!" I yell towards the others. Frost stops whips around. "I don't think so." She says in an icy tone, blocking the exit. I barely manage to push past her wing when Flame comes back."Where do you think your going? "He says in a low hiss. I retreat back to the cave, I know when I'm beaten.

Aquamarine~

WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!! This is so ridiculously scary! I've never seen so many different looking dragons in my life!!! And meeting those dragonets at the tunnel, I could barely think straight. All that I could manage was a terrified squeak. It was so EMBARRASSING! But right now I've got bigger problems. I'm running through a dark, scary passageway. The path up ahead splits into two tunnels, one to the right and the other to the left. I choose the right passageway, hoping desperately that it leads out of this terrible place. It doesn't. I keep running, and the path splits again. This time, I go left. But, to my terror, it only leads to a dead end. A sleepy-looking dragonet with white scales is sitting there. When I burst in, she looks at me in surprise. "Hide me" I squeak. ( I've really got to work on that) "There's a big scary red dragon chasing me!" The white dragon snorts in amusement. "That must be Skyflier. Wait, how did you get in here? Never mind that, hide in here." She moves aside, and I gasp in pleasure. A pool of water, about as deep and as wide as a dragonet, sits glimmering in the pale light. I dive in. Nothing that I have ever felt has felt as good as this. I revel in the feeling of being completely covered with water. I hope that Skyflier doesn't find me here.

Pearl~

Skyflier comes walking in through the stone door. She looks a little upset and angry.  " Hi Skyflier!" I say cheerfully. "What's wrong? I was just taking a little nap, as you can see." Skyflier stares stonely at me, flames flickering out of her nostrils. I hear her muttering something that sounds like it has something to do with scavengers. Hmmm. I don't think that Skyflier likes the dragonets very much. "Pearl" she talks slowly, as if trying to stay calm. " Have you seen a small seawing dragonet, about six years old and a little scrawny come through here?" I hear a snort of angry bubbles from where the seawing is hiding, and I talk over them. " Seawing?" I say laughingly. "The only seawing that we have in here in Cormorant. ( did I get the name right? Sorry if I didn't.) Skyflier snorts, spewing more flames from her nostrils. " Well, if you do see anything, come tell me. Or else." And on that cheerful note, she stomps out of the cave. I wait until she's gone, then I signal to the seawing to come out. She does, and she looks scared and reluctant to leave the water at the same time. I look at her curiously. " So what's your name? Mine's pearl." "I'm aquamarine, but you can call me Aqua for short." She answers. I've got to get the others. They'll be so excited. Even if it means giving up my pool, which I love to freeze occasionally. I tell Aqua where I'm going. " Oh, you mean those other dragons? We've sort of already met." I wonder at this for a second, but then I run off to get the others.
