Today is really exciting! A new dragon named Aqua showed up and lots of dragonet so tried to escape. I don't think anyone got out, but it would be awesome if they did! Then they could get us out. I want to get out of here so so so so badly!  We only have a talonprint sized splotch of mud in this whole place! 

I get lost in my thoughts, and a few minutes later, Pearl knocks her talons claws against our meeting rock signaling us to come over. She introduces  Aqua, and then we just sit there for a moment before leaving. In my head I'm thinking It's great that everyone knows Aqua now, but I wish we could talk about how to get out of here. The other dragons got my hopes up and then squashed them. I really want to find a way out. And with that I go to the food pile and start eating a lizard.

  Glare...

After a long day of repeating myself to MudWings, I think I need a rest. Mother said when I left to use this dreamvisitor to message back to her. Hopefully she's asleep... I close my eyes and slowly sink down into my tent bed.

I reawaken in the palace. Lots of dragons are bustling about, but I don't see any sleeping. My brother Tangerine (he was hatched before my mother had a knack for naming SkyWings) is up late, chatting away to one of the servants. Some prince he is. Figuring I shouldn't waste time, I hurry up to my mother's room. She's curling up just now, to my surprise. Such good timing. A few minutes later, she's sound asleep, and I curl up inside of her body and enter her dream.

  It's bright putside, and the palace is far beneath me. I see Mother flying over the prisons. Sitting there is a prince of NightWings. He's talking to her. 

  "Your Highness," he adresses her, "We meet again." To my alarm he's holding a dreamvisitor in his hands! "I come to you with a message from the NIghtWings... we are almost ready. I shall send a messenger over to you with the coordinates tomorrow. He will be in the form of an albatross, holding a rolled sheet of paper wrapped in diamonds. Open it up and speak these words: Map, open, show me where, map, magic, everywhere. To close it say those words backwards. Our alliance is... very well hidden. Do you still wish to take a different course of action, rather than have a SandWing be queen?" 

"Yes, I do. As long as you leave the kingdom of Sky alone, you may do what you wish."

The  NightWing bows again, and flitters out of view. I can't let mother know I just saw that! I've got to go think about this... I'll come back later to report to her. 

Gasping, I wake up, into the real world. For once I"m glad to be away from the Sky Palace.  

Boulder is also very energetic and excitable.

Starfruit ~Before we all leave the meeting ledge I say, "Okay guys if we want her to get us out of here we'll need to create a plan. First week have to have someone ALWAYS protecting Aqua. We can take turns doing it." I gaze coculating who would be best. "Scorpion could you guard Aqua first?" I say gritting my teeth. "Fiiinnee." Scorpion says with much reluctance. "But you have to bring me a lizard first." She says defiantly. "Fine." I say shortly. "You will keep watch till dinner, than Pearl will watch until the guardians go to sleep than Boulder will watch her." I command. "What about you . . ." A slithery voice asks. "Well, great and 'mighty' Night* I will take the rock they use, when their asleep and get us out of here!" I say with sarcasm and enthusiasm.

"Star why don't you follow one of the gardians out of the cave and memorize the rout so we won't be blundering around when we try to escape. They have an advantge because they know the route better than us."

These dragonets are so kind. The seawing is REALLY friendly, the icewing is nice, and the rainwing is much more intelligent than the ones in the rainforest. I'm only six years old, and yet all these dragonets are being so kind to me. This is way better than being alone.

Skyflier...

I'm hustling around the cave. What a confusing evening. Just what a dragon my age needs after taking care of a bunch of ungrateful dragonets. *sigh*... I'd better go to bed. As I'm about to go to sleep I review the day's happenings: SeaWing is hiding somewhere in the caves, dragonets in mayhem, all are here though, they're probably planning to escape-- I can sense that with my powers-- I just don't know how. Then I review my secret plan again, like how I've done for the past ten months. Then I get ready to deliver the message. To you-know-who. The queen of the SkyWings, Queen Radiant. The other guardians don't know this--of course they don't really know much of anything about me-- but I'm a prince of Night. They don't know this either, but the way you can tell royalty in a NightWing is by their claws- if they're serrated then you know it's royalty. I then look down and admire my beautifully serrated claws. SOOO handsome.

Unfortunately handsomeness isn't quite enough to stay in the palace with the rest of the royals, no, my powers are too faint, too... poor. That's why I'm here. To make sure the dragonets grow up. But not how the others think they should. I'm here to make sure they learn as little as possible about the SandWing queens, so they'll wreak havoc instead of helping make peace. Then the NIghtWings will... Yes, yes! We will! I can't believe it! We will do that impossibly evil thing that NightWings naturally do! Yay! Okay, enough. Back to work. 

I grab a pebble from the floor and toss it at the wall. A gravelly noise begins, and my ledge begins to shake. Then I tap the floor in a series of stomp, tap tap, bang, slam, tap. Suddenly the wall shifts, and revolves back into the wall of the cave. My dreamvisitor sits on a ledge. It was given to me by Mother, the queen. Of the seven dreamvisitors, this is the green one. It's shaped like a star, and a faint eerie sound emenates from it. I grab it and plop down on my ledge. This is why I sleep in a private room. Slowly I calm myself, and enter the dreams of the SkyWing queen.

Could I be one of the sandwing queens?

Starfruit ~It's night, or at least when we go to sleep. The others are pretending to be asleep. The guardians are actually asleep. I sneak into their room and camouflage myself. Going over to Flame, who I know has the rock I reach for the clasp and carefully disconnect it. I grasp it, pulling on it slowly till it pops out from underneath him. I tiptoe slowly out of their room, heading back to ours.

"Okay guys I got it!" I whisper excitedly to the others. "Yes!" Comes the excited whispers back. "Okay Cormorant, and Aqua you guys will lead the way cus some of your scales can light up." They light up almost their whole body's and nod, simultaneously. "Okay, everyone pick a buddy. You will stick with them throughout the whole tunnel." I say watching as everybody steps towards another. "Okay, Cormorant and Aqua you guys take the lead, then comes Night and Boulder, then Scorpion, then me and Pearl.

Pear~

As I follow Aqua and Cormorant through the darkness, I can feel my legs begin to shake. But they are shaking with excitement, not fear. This is the day that I finally get to break out of here, I think. Cormorant slides the stone into the slot. All my muscles tense as the door slides open. Much too noisily, apparently. Skyflier is in front of the door. I want to smack myself. Of course! The door guard. It doesn't look like he's asleep, so I make myself be extra quite. Just as we sneak past, Skyflier opens his eyes and stares at us for a second. "Wait, what?...." But before he can even finish, we are all running away from him as fast as our legs can carry us.

I couldn't sleep after delivering the message, so I went out to guard the door. I knew the dragonets would try something like this! Before I knew what was heppening, I found myself chasing after them through the darkness. All my powers are screaming at me to STOP and GO FOR THE RAINWING!! SHE'S GOING TO GET AWAY!! But I can't find her! WHERE IN THE WORLD did that DRAGONET GO. She's probably long gone by now. Or seh's watching me. I majestically *majestically here means: as majestic as possible for a tired old dragon* swoop onto a dragonet, not caring who it is. Leaning over, I catch a whiff and realize it's the SeaWing, the one named...uh, hold on, I always forget the names... Cormorant!

"AHA! I'm SICK AND TIRED OF SEAWINGS I'VE HAD PLENTY IN ONE DAY AND YOU'RE COMING BACK WITH ME YOU LITTLE WORM!"  With a crazed snarl, I drag him back into the cave, closing the door behind me. They'll have to come back for him sooner or later. And when they do...

I stomp into Flame's room and shout, "Wake up! You missed a very EXCITING THING. Now come on into Frost's room and I'll tell you ALL ABOUT IT." He looks a little confused at Cormorant in my talons. I enter Frost's room. She's sound asleep. "FROST! WAKE UP!" (I'm very big on yelling right now, considering the circumstances) 

I tell them everything. Then Frost looks at me funny. In a small, cold voice she asks,

"You... you closed the door, did you say?" I nod, beginning to feel that something is amiss. "Well, Skyflier, good job, because you know what you just accomplished?" 

"Uhhhh..." 

"YOU JUST LOCKED US IN HERE AT THE MERCY OF A FEW DDRAGONETS! ARE YOU PROUD?"

Talons and tails! Why'd I do that?! I was being stupid! Now I can't meet Shadowdweller in the woods and send Queen Radiance the map! Talons and TAIIILLLLSSS!
