HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA

Chatterbox: Inkwell

HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA

HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA RP!!!

OK, so I thought it was time someone did this.

New people can join, too!

When we last left off,the popular girly girls, smart girls, and artsy girls had the 'incedent.' That ended well... After the incident, Gigi left the girly girl popular group and started her own girly girl group. Everyone in it is super nice, and Gigi is super happy with her new friends, even though there group is only semi-popular. She sometimes hangs out with the popular girly girls, but it isn't the same. The artsy girls and the smart girls became best of friends, and started sitting together at lunch. Brielle and Andy started dating. Nothing really big happened the rest of the year,no one wanted to get in trouble with Brielle's dad. But high school is a different story...

I was thinking maybe one new person could join each group, but maybe two for the girly girl popular group, because Gigi left... I'm also looking for some charries to be part of Gigi's group. We also need some boy charries! Boy charries cna be in any group. If there are lots of new people who want to join, I guess we could start a new group for them... maybe sporty girls popular?

So if you were in the School Drama RP, please tell me if you want to join, and if you do join, please post any updates on your charrie that you have.If you don't want to join, please post if someone new can take your charrie. Otherwise, we can pretend they moved away somewhere. If that's OK with you.

For new people, here's the form:

Grade: (9-12)

Group: (Semi popular, nice girly girls; popular girly girls; (Used to be unpopular,) Semi popular smart girls; semi popular artsy girls; sportsy girls popular; any kind of guy charrie thatt can be in any group.)

Personality:

Appearance:

Backround:

Crush(es) if any:

I hope that this is OK with you guys!!

Hey Coconut,

We have a lot of new characters already, so you can join, but you would have to be an old charachter that is up for adoption. Here are the options:

Name: Mellie Quintero

Age: 13

Appearance: Lightish blond hair with blue dye. Brown eyes, short, wears glasses and green braces.

Personality: Friendly, laughs a lot, makes puns. Very social amongst her
friends, but gets shy with new people. Hates popular kids, nerdy,
proud. Gets sensitive and angry when people make fun of her. Very
dramatic when alone. For example, she will pretty much think she likes
all boys, or that her friend problem will kill her life. Gets dark
thoughts. Pretty much exactly me.

Groups: Kind and Smart group (Both unpopular)

Friends: The smart girls and the artsy girls.

Name: Paige Meroe

Age: 7th grade

Appearnce: Long blonde hair that's always in a high ponytail, vibrant
green eyes. She's fairly tan, and is wearing soccer stuff 60 percent of
the time.

Personaility: Funny and likes making people laugh. Doesn't really get
the whole "girly-girl" society, but just roles with it. Kinda
competitive, but a good sport, both when she looses and when she wins.
Popular, but not as much as the girly girls.

Crush: She's too busy for that. But if some soccer-playing boy came along, she just might crush on him.

Groups: Semi Popular Artsy Girl.

She's basically the most sporty artsy girl.

Name: Jason Meroe

Age: 7th grade (him and Paige are twins)

Appearnce: Golden hair that just makes itself be perfect, dreamy blue eyes, tan. Muscles, cuz he' said quarterback.

Personality: Similar to his twin, laid-back  and a good sport. Has this way of smiling that makes you want to faint.

Groups: Popular Sporty Boy

You can be as many of them as you want!

.:Brielle:.

I adjust the straps of my new white canvas bookbag as I stroll down the hallway, my face still glowing after my quick run-in with Andy. The flowy skirt of my pale teal shift dress flutters as I make my way toward math class.

Rianna squeals over the incessant chattering of the other students when I step into the classroom, patting the desk beside her. I smile broadly, striding over and cautiously tucking my bag under my seat.

"We finally have a class together," I exclaim as the teacher at the front of the room, Mr. Moore, silently passes out our schedules.

"I know, right? But look," Rianna whispers, gesturing toward a curly-headed girl a few rows in front of us. "Kat's here too."

"Cool," I reply with a shrug. Rianna opens her mouth like she's about to argue, but stops herself when she recieves her schedule. I skim over mine, mentally checking classes off the list.

8:00-8:45: Advanced Math

8:50-9:35: Honors French

9:40-10:25: Career Elective (performing arts)

10:30-11:15: Science

11:20-12:00: Lunch

12:05-12:50: Honors English

12:55-1:40: Gym

1:45-2:30: Drama

"OMG, we have gym together! And lunch!" Rianna shrieks, clutching at my wrist.

I grin. "Andy's in our lunch period, too."

"Ooooooh," Rianna teases, waggling her eyebrows. I whack her arm.

"Okay, so classwork is fifteen percent of your grade, homework is fifteen percent, quizzes are twenty percent, and tests are fifty percent. We'll be having a quiz every week on Wednesday, and every four weeks a test. I don't care how you handle your notebooks; generally, if I can't read something or understand something. I don't give credit for it," says Mr. Moore, now apparently Mr. McChatterbox. I pull my favorite hot pink gel pen out of my pencil pouch and begin to take careful notes in my black spiral notebook. Rianna stifles a fake yawn.

"How'd you get into advanced math?" I whisper.

She smiles innocently. "Daddy had a little chat with the school board."

I smile back, fuming inside. Rianna's never been good at math; what makes her think she can handle the advanced level? I compress the thoughts into the back of my brain, take a deep breath, and continue to write.

How about we can still have old charries that didn't sign up in the story, they just can't write from their perspective?

WILLOW

The first day of school is always a blurry jumble of classes, friends, and enemies. Until lunch, that is. Of course, us artsy girls and the smart girls sit together. Paige is trying to balance a bannana on her nose. I shake my head at her, but I laugh under my breath.

GIGI

Taylor and I find a three-person table for lunch. I'm so excited I have a friend at school! It reminds me of-of the good old times with Brielle, Rianna, and Kat. I stare at my sandwich and try not to cry, I know my mascara would be running like crazy. Taylor is poking me. "Gigi!" She whispers. "Gigi? Giiiiigiiiiii!!" I whip my head around. "What is it?" Taylor grins. "We shouold invite that girl over there to sit with us." She points to Penny, a girl we talked to earlier. Penny is looking around, unsure where to sit. I walk over to her and invite her to sit with us. When I come back, Taylor is grinning like a maniac. I pull out my pocket mirror and when I look at my reflection, I find out that I am too.

Sorry GTG write more later!

Penny~

I smile awkwardly and sit down next to Gigi and Taylor, who are both beaming. Slowly I find a grin starting to spread across my face and look away. Not too bad so far. "What are you guys doing after school?" Taylor asks, sipping her water.

"I'm going to the salon. My mom works there so Im going to do my homework," I respond, eating a bite of pizza.

"Your mom is a hairsylist?" Gigi's jaw drops.

I nod. "One of the best!"

Katie~

I sit down next to Willow and snicker Paige's antics. "Any of you guys have art as an elective?" I ask. "I have art eighth hour."

"You do know you can't take art all year, right?" Willow asks, nudgeing me with her elbow.

I chuckle and overdramitcally sigh. "I know. Whatever shall I do? Maybe Ill just have to stop school!!"

The artsy girls laugh and I grin sheepishly, noticing a girl standing mindlessly looking for someplace to sit. I beckon her over. Noting her notebook covered with doodles.

.:Brielle:.

I walk into the overcrowded cafeteria alongside Rianna, our arms linked and our footsteps in sync. Andy waves me over, perched at the end of a long table where the rest of the jocks are seated. I flutter my fingertips, smoothing my hair down and shooting him a smile.

Rianna nudges me with her lunch tray. "Go," she approves. "Talk to loverboy. I'll find us a place to sit."

"Thanks," I whisper, taking a deep breath and speed-walking toward Andy.

"Hey, Bri," he greets me, pulling me into a side-hug. "Guys, this is my girlfriend, Brielle."

My heart leaps at the sound of the word "girlfriend," and I try not to hyperventilate. The rest of the guys do the "sup" nod, some of them giving Andy a thumbs-up. I turn my head, giving Andy a quick peck on the cheek, then detangle myself from his arm. "Gotta go," I explain, "Rianna's waiting."

"Duty calls," he agrees. "See you later."

I join Rianna at a small circular table in the center of the cafeteria, placing my tray down and cracking the cap of my water bottle open. I catch sight of Gigi talking and giggling with two other girls in the corner and immediately stand up.

"Where are you going?" Rianna hisses.

"Shh, be right back." I head for the three-person table and smile at Gigi. She looks up from her food. "Oh, hi Brielle."

"Hey," I answer. "Who's this?"

"Oh - right - this is Penny, and this is Taylor." Gigi gestures towards the two girls, who wave simultaneously.

"So nice to meet you!" I smile again. "Gigi and I go way back."

Gigi giggles, nodding. "Yep, we met in...first grade, was it?"

"Who can remember? Anyway, I should get back to my table. But it was great seeing you guys."

"You, too," says Penny, the girl with the blue mascara.

I smile one last time, then turn around to rejoin Rianna at our table.

Taylor~

I fold open my tinfoil wrapped sandwich and peer at it. Ick, what is in this thing? "Are you guys liking hight school so far?" Gigi asks. She has bought a school lunch. Not the most appealing thing I have ever seen, but still. My dad's lunch making skills (today it's tomatoes and mayo) really need some improvement.

"Weeeell, it's okay." Penny says. "I mean, it's school, but, sure. It's different from middle school."

"Our homeroom teacher hardly says anything!" Gigi laughs. "He just writes on the board and makes us copy everything down!"

"Too true!" I agree. What... did my dad put... APPLES in this sandwich? Okay. I'm throwing this out. "Okay, my lunch is so disgusting." I say, standing up. "I need to throw this away or else I will, like, die from food poisoning."

I walk toward the trash can and drop it in. Phew, I'm rid of that. I rummage through my lunch bag and pull out a container of baby carrots. That's my main course, I guess. That's it. No, it's not, there's a piece of paper in it.

I am too old for lunchbag notes. For that matter, I should probably pack my own lunches, firstly because I am now in ninth grade, secondly so I don't starve. I unfold the note, making sure Gigi and Penny don't see it. They are talking about hair, Penny's mom, if she'll give Gigi a discount. What will they think if they see? I don't know them that well yet.

It's not my dad's writing. It's Lana's, his girlfriend. What's SHE doing in my lunch?

Tay: Have a great day at school. Good luck in high school! I love you! Kisses, Lana

No. She can't. She is not my mom and she will never be. How... how dare she. Even my dad doing this is bad enough. No. No way. I rip the note up and dash out of the cafeteria, calling something about needing to use the bathroom.

Johnston~

I frown as Brielle walks away. "Dude, she's your girlfriend?"

Andy turns to me, puffing out his chest. "Yeah. You got a problem with it."

"Do you even know her?" What she did to my sister?

Andy scowls and glares at me, "Yeah. She's my girlfriend. Of course I know her. Why would you ask?"

"Suit yourself," I shake my head. Brielle had caused my sister's self esteem to waver, and then collapse upon herself in a heap. Now Katie spends every second of her free time working, drawing, playing instruments, hardly making time for me and her friends. I'm even more worried now that school has started and she'll have homework, I think, staring at my sandwhich.

Do her friends even notice how distant she has become? The dark lines under her eyes? She smiles, sure, but I don't know how she stays awake in school.

I suddenly feel sick and pack my remaining lunch away, making a mental note to talk to her about it later that day.

~~~~~~~~~
And thats a major personality thing I forgot to mention about Katie. She stubbornly, and stupidly, determined to do her best. She'll talk to her friends if they call, but she doesn't call them that often.
Ariana ~ Some girls at a corner table are waving to me to come over. I judge them in my head fast. Well . . . I guess I'll give it a try. It's better than having to go and impress the guys with some talk about Star wars or Pokémon. I mean I would, but guys can be so . . . well . . . never mind.
I sit down in one of the chairs by their table. "Hi I'm Katie!" "Paige!" "Willow!" "And I'm Erin!" The girls say one by one. "Aren't you new around here?" The one called Katie asks. "Um, yeah I'm Ariana." I say. "Where do live?" Willow asks. "155 Waterway." I say as gasps come up from all the girls. "Oh my gosh!" Paige says. "What?" I ask, puzzled. "You live right across the street from Brielle them!" Erin whispers. "Um, who's she?" I ask, blankly. "Over there by the boys table, next to that other girl." Katie whispers. "Hey, she and that other girl stopped me in the hall this morning. She wanted to know who I was." I say bewildered. "Just whatever you do stay out of her way!" Katie warns.
Rianna ~ "Hey Bri, why don't you go talk to that girl you wanted to talk to now?" I say, since that girl is getting some lunch over at the counter. "Fine." Brielle groans.
Erin~
I sit down at the table with the rest of the art and smart girls, extracting my lunchbox with some difficulty from my bag. I make a mental note to get one about, oh, five times as big as this.
I unzipper it and pull out a container of yogurt. Ariana tells us she lives on Waterway.
"You live right next to Brielle then!" I say. We quickly explain to her who Brielle is. I hope she understands.
Pulling out my sketchbook, I glance down at my almost-finished still life. Without the vase in front of me, it'll be slightly more difficult, but at the moment all I want to get done is the shading. I turn my pencil on its side and start lightly rubbing it.
Ariana ~ "Um, okay." I mumble as I get out my lunch. "Hey girls." A voice calls out. I whip around. "Huh? Who are you?" I ask as soon as I answer the question in my head. It's Brielle, and her cronie Rianna. "What are YOU doing HERE Brielle?" Katie says in a fury. "Just curious about the new girl." She says in a offhand kind of way, while her eyes are glinting with curiosity. Either that or its malice. The girls immediately start shaking their heads no. "Don't tell her anything she asks you!" Whispers Paige. I look around, puzzled.
.:Brielle:.
I resist the urge to roll my eyes. "Katie, relax. That rivalry we used to have is so two years ago." And I mean it. In order to get a college scholarship, since Crystal's been criticizing every little thing my dad pays for these days, I need to focus more in school. Which means no. More. Drama. I simply don't have time for it.
For now, anyway.
To the new girl, I say, "Hi, I'm Brielle Fawn. Welcome to Eastwood High."
"H-hi," the purple-haired girl mumbles.
I smile, pulling up a chair. "Well?"
She blinks, nonplussed. "Well, what?"
"Aren't you going to tell me your name?"
The girl glances hesitantly toward Katie, who shrugs.
"I'm Ariana. Ariana Levine," she says, turning back to me.
I nod, taking a swig of my water. "Cool hair. Purple really complements your complexion."
Ariana eyes me suspiciously, just a tiny tinge of hope lingering in her expression. "Really?"
"Really. I've been thinking about dyeing my hair too. What color do you think I should get?" I pull a few platinum blonde strands from my ponytail closer to my face, examining the color.
Ariana cocks her head sideways, pondering over this. "I'm not sure. Blue, maybe, to make your eyes pop."
"I was just thinking the exact same thing!" I squeal, excited. "Like, I could dip-dye the tips!"
Ariana thinks for a moment, then nods eagerly. "That would look so pretty!"
Paige coughs loudly, and Ariana pushes her chair back, startled. "Um, I have to go. My next class is all the way across campus, and - I have to go. It was nice meeting you, Brielle." She slings her backpack over her shoulder in a flourish and skitters out of the cafeteria. I wave indifferently, not that she's looking anywhere in my direction.
"Good talk," I remark, standing up. "Later, Katie."
WILLOW
This lunch period was very... interesting. I don't blame Paige for leaving. The bell rings, and I walk off to class.
GIGI
Is there a cloud 10? Because I think I'm on it. I have two new BFF's that are so totally better than THEM, plus my crush waved at me during lunch!! SQUEE!!
ANDY
I don't know what Johnston finds wrong with Brielle. She's awesome, and she's the nicest person I know. What's not to like about her? I don't have much time to think about it 'cause the bell rings and lunch is over.
Penny~
"You guys want to hear a joke?" I ask. Taylor and Gigi both turn to look at me, their beautiful eyes sparkling in the caferteria light. "Ill take that as a yes," I giggle. "Okay so..." I pause, snickering.
"Don't laugh yet! You haven't even told the joke!" Gigi giggles, her beyond perfect ringlets swaying as she does so.
"Sorry," I apologize. Taking a deep breath, I begin again. "So you guys have..." I snicker, "heard of the three rings of marriage?"
"No. Only two," Taylor answers, giggling at my antics.
"Well, there's the engagement ring, wedding ring, and suffering!" I cover my mouth and hold in my laughing.
"Wait....suffer....ing! Suffer ring!!" Gigi bursts out laughing. "Taylor? Don't you get it?" Taylor nods, her mouth closed and her face turning red. She lets out part of a laugh, but cuts it off.
"Taylor...your face!" I guffaw, hitting the table and resting my forehead in my hand while my elbow supports me from the table.
Taylor finally starts laughing, giving Gigi a new spurt of laughs.
After approximately five minutes of on-off laughter, we kept on stopping only to look at each other and begin again. I sigh, grinning. "Not so bad of a start for high school, eh?"
 Johnston~
I sigh and walk down the hall, headed to my locker. Checking my watch, I realize I finished ten minutes earlier. "It explains the lack of people," I note. Only a few other people are walking at this time, most of them headed from the bathrooms. The school becomes so quiet during this time, something I rarely get. The boisterous noise from the lunch room is only a background noise, like the rustling of leaves in the fall. My footsteps echo throughout the halls, along with the sound of occasional person or teacher.
After what seems like an eternity of floating through silence, i reach my locker. I pull up my sleeve, sending chills up my arms. "This school is actually really cold..." I think, reading over the locker combination I had written on my arm.
"Right three times and stop at....4? Turn left, passing 4 and stop at 45. Then....turn right and stop at 13." The locker clicks and I smile, opening it triumphantly. After dealing with lockers my whole life, it seems I have finally gotten the hang of them.
After placing my lunch in my backpack, I grab my science books and gently shut my locker, leaving my hand pressed against the cool metal for a moment before turning in search of the bathrooms.
Katie~
Ah, high school. New experiences, new people, and changed people. I mean, Brielle? How can she just shrug it off and say it never happened? Or it was, like, two years ago. I shudder and shake my head, opening my locker in a rush. "Shoot!" I exclaim, pulling back my hand from the monster that ate my finger. While attempting to unlock my locker, somehow my finger got pinched in the lock. "Ooo...ouch." I shake my head and retry the combination, watching carefully to make sure the lock doesn't eat my arm off this time.
Success! I swing open my locker and grimace when it crashes against the one next to it. Luckily the hall is filled with multiple people and only the closest ones manage to hear it over all of the noise.
I grab the materials I need and shut my locker, checking my schedule to see where my next class is. "Ooh! Social Studies!" I grin, turning and heading the opposite direction I was orignally headed.
Le phew! That took a while!
Ariana ~ I sigh in relief as I leave the cafeteria. I don't know what to make of this Brielle. The girls I sat with during lunch seemed to make her out as a . . . monster. She seems quite nice though. She even complimented me on my hair! The girls though . . . how could I convince them that she is NOT a monster?
Rianna ~ I take a look at my schedule. Sigh, English and then Gym. I detest gym. And what puzzles me is Brielle seems to want to get top grades. Is she, like, nerdy or something? I mean, like, come on!
