Mac--

The giant was pretty big, but not as big as an adult. This probably was one of the guards. I suddenly get an idea."Gwen! Can you summon a vine? A huge, thick one?"

"I'll try. What do you need it for?" she responds.  

Aidan catches on. 'Tripping the giant! Rose! Belendil!  Come help!"

All four of us yank on the huge vine growing out of the earth. Gwen, tired from the work, collapses.

Rose cuts the vine with her fire-dagger and pulls the vine out. We had a huge vine, but that was a very large giant. "Aidan!", Belendil yells, "You have to be our distraction! Attack from the side!"

Aidan nervously dances over to the giant's foot. He cuts into it with his sword, drawing blood.

" RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAA" The giant screams in pain, trying to squash Adan. 

Belendil, Rose and I  wrap the vine around the giants legs and pull. The giant sways and topples over.

The ground shakes as the giant knocks his head on the ground, inches from the unconscious Gwen.

That was a close one. 

Gwen~

I wake up and groan. I hurt. A lot. I turn my head to see a giant lying dead on the ground. A giant vine is wrapped around his ankle. Of course! Now I remember why I'm lying here on the ground, why it feels like someone personally sucked all the energy. "Are you okay Gwen?" someone asks. I think it's Rose, and I nod, even though I'm not okay in the least. I think the others can sense it too. They huddle together, whispering. I try to move my arm, and discover that I can't. Making the sword had taken most of my energy, and that giant vine...... I think that I would've passed out making that thing even if I had full strength. I'm pretty sure that I almost died. The others come back carrying something. They gently lift me onto a stretcher made out of the giant vine that I summoned. Pain courses through my body. Rose looks at me and says "When the giant fell, a small tree got shaken badly and fell on you. I'm pretty sure you broke a rib." I groan. That makes sense. Sort of. My brain struggles to comprehend what she's saying...... And then I drift out of consciousness into the land of dreams.

I'm dreaming. At least, I think so. A giant dressed in a Falcon uniform is learing down at me. He has pointed ears, and he's saying "The Falcons will never accept you, Gwen. You've lost your family....they all despise you now." Then he picks me up and starts shaking me upside down. Then he's calling my name..... Over and over and over..... I open my eyes and see the others standing around me. Except something about them is weird..... Rose has wings, Mac has a tail, Aiden is purple...... A polka-dotted Benidil says, "She's burning up," in a hushed voice. My fevered brain attempts to understand what's going on......but I can't, and I drift back in to fevered nightmares. 

Mac--

We lift the groggy Gwen onto a stretcher made from the vine. After she blacked out for the third time, Belendil said, "She's burning up.". 

Rose wonders: "Does anyone know anything about healing?"

"I know some," I offer, "but if Belendil and I work together, we can probably help."

Belendil puts her hands on Gwen's head and visible streams of magic flowed from the elf's hands into the Falcon's head. 

I went herb-picking. I found some Kolamay nuts which, when treated with birch leaf juice, explode.

I tucked them into my bag.

I found the rare blue Sakllam mushroom, which makes the eater feel no pain. I would use that.

There was a veritable paradise for herbs and mushrooms in this bleak, stubby land. I was glad for that. It might just save Gwen's life. 

Belendil~

"What herbs did you find?" I ask Mac. She was gone for a while, so I assume that she found lots of herbs and berries.

"I found some Kolamay nuts, some birch leaves, a couple of Sakllam mushrooms..." Mac starts pulling leaves and berries out of bag. Eventually her bag is empty and there is a small pile of healing herbs and berries at our feet.

"Nice!" I say. "Where did you find all these?" Mac shrugs.

"They're everywhere. It's hard to walk three steps without stepping on some sort of herb or berry." She replies. 

"Great. Lets start with that mushroom." I grab the mushroom from the pile and study it. It's slightly dirty, and needs to be rinsed off. I summon a few drops of water from the nearby creek and spray them on the mushroom. 

"Anything I can do to help?" Rose asks. 

"Just keep watch and make sure the giants don't come back. I'd prefer it if you took your magic dagger. Also tell Aiden that he can start tying up the giant that we knocked out." Rose nods, then runs off to start her job as lookout. The next thing I spot is a large flat leaf. I blow it off then set the mushroom on it, as it must be crushed into a paste to harness its full power. 

After the mushroom is crushed, I give it to Mac to feed to Gwen. Hopefully it'll help ease her pain. Next, I make a quick poultice out of the Kolamay nuts and birch leaves to put on her wounds. I quickly enchant it with some healing magic, then start to put a little on Gwens cuts and bruises.

"Okay," I tell Mac after a few minutes. "Now we just let her rest. Hopefully we won't get ambushed by the giants... Although they might get curious when thier guard doens't come back. We'll have to set up some defenses. Rose and Aiden are better at that sort of thing." Mac nods, then smiles. We both know that they are no better than we are at defenses, but we just like pairing them up so that they end up doing all their jobs and projects together. It's so obvious that they like each other.

Ok, Parker. Normally I would tell you that you can't join and were really far into this RP, but I'll let you join as long as you promise to post regularly. I've had a lot of people join this RP, but won't ever post. If you are going to post, you'll have to start with your charrie at the Giants territory.

Elona-

I wake up in my makeshift bed of leaves. It's been a few days since I ran away. If my parents could see me right now they would be horrified. My once glossy and straight black hair is all messed up and my clothes are torn. I don't care. The sound of talking catches my attention. A bunch of people are crowded around a stretcher that appears to be made of a vine. I tiptoe closer. It's now clear a person is lying on the stretcher. Everyone seems worried. Maybe I can help. Getting closer I clear my throat. Everyone looks up. "My name is Elona Draco" I say "What's going on?"

Mac--

A voice calls my attention away from Gwen.

"My name is Elona Draco," it says.

"What's going on?'

We all turn to stare at this girl. She looks ragged. Her hair is full of leaves and she looks like she's run away.

"Can you tell us where the nearest human settlement is?" Belendil asks. "This girl has been hurt badly. Mac (she gestures at me) and I have tried our best, but she needs a healer. One of the best, in fact. "

And then I notice the shadow.

"Actually, new help. How well can you fight?"

The giant was at least twice the size of the last one.

"WHERE IS MY SON?????" it bellowed. 

TOP! Top! Top! TOP! Top! TOP!

Elona-

A girl speaks up. She has brown hair and green eyes.

"Can you tell us where the nearest human settlement is?" she asks. "This girl has been badly hurt."

She gestures at another girl This one has short brown hair, eyes, and skin. "Mac and I have tried our best but she needs a healer. One of the best in fact."

Then a shadow appears.

"Actually new help," the girl says. "How well can you fight?"

A giant appears.

"WHERE IS MY SON!!!!!" it bellows. 

I am rooted to the spot with fear. Then something starts happening. My skin turns into scales. My head narrows and grows red and scaly. A tail starts growing. Large leathery wings sprot from my back. I am turning into a dragon. Fire circles around me. It disappears slowly. I'm a full dragon now. 

Everyone gasps. But then the giant reaches out. Quickly I run away. The giant chases after me. Then I realize something. If I can turn into a dragon then... I exhale. A fire ball shoots from my mouth and hits the giant. He recoils back in pain. But he slowly gets up. The battle is not over yet.
