Chatterbox: Inkwell

Animal RP

£~£~£~£

I think it's about time I made a new RP. In this one, you are an animal. You have no great purpose in life, but a mysterious messenger comes and tells you to meet at Outlook Rock at midnight in three days. You promise to, and the three days have yet to come.

You have one or two main charries, but can roleplay from the perspective of a different animal (you have no idea how fun it is to RP from the point of a crab), but only if you're absolutely dying to. Don't make anything important happen to these random animal posts because that would make them a main charrie (technically). Charrie sheet is the following:

Name: Elissa

Age: 17

Species: Snow Leopard

Appearance: Silver snow leopard with black spots, a white chest and paws, and green eyes. Bright, emerald green eyes. Long claws, long swishy tail, strong, powerful muscles, but not too stocky in appearance; very graceful.

Personality: Very hostile to animals she doesn't know, but warm, friendly, and loyal to those she knows well. She may seem a bit prickly, but is a good friend to have.

Habitat: Snowy, mountainous regions

Other: Nothing yet

Please note that this is an RP about completely normal animals. I will post first, please, to kind of explain the mysterious personage and the quest required of the animals. There are nine spots left. Good luck!

Starsinger~

I open my eyes and stare at the setting sun. Three days. Then I'll meet whoever the others are at Outlook Rock. Silently, I wonder how I'll find my way. I've been stuck in Wintergreen forest for months now. Even when I 've tried to go in an exactly straight line, I just ended up farther in the forest.

With a yawn, I stretch and stand. I was taking a nap, and now I'm starving. My paws crunch over pine needles and snow while a hare runs ahead. After my meal, I stare up at the crescent moon and roar. My roars and songs are probably why nobody comes in the forest anymore. It sounds haunted with me in here.

I guess I'll finally meet somebody in three days.

Oops! When i said she howls, I meant to say she roars! Sorry, I forgot for a moment that she's a panther.

I fixed it for you.

~Burr~

That guy was weird. Really weird. I mean, he didn't tell me anything! I don't even know if it was a "he," I'm just guessing. Outlook rock? But I'm a good guy, so I was like, Okee-doke. On a more serious note, I have to do this. A quest? This could be important to the world's protection. I feel it's my duty to come. I stand on my hind legs for a moment to get a better view of the terrain ahead. Looks okay. Let's get going to outlook rock.

.:Cress:.

Outlook Rock. Now why would anyone what to go there? l can’t recall anything important about it. Why? Nothing wrong, nothing amiss. The amber eyes of Cress see far more than anyone ever suspects, and yet there is nothing strange.

l am itching with questions, and yet l feel the need to keep this secret. Some things were never meant to be spoken.

l twist around the solid tree branch, watching the dragonflies buzz around the still greenish water below me. The midday is silent and calm. Like always. Beams of  golden sunlight slant through the tangled vines hanging off the trees, bowed over the stagnant water, insects buzzing lazily, and once and awhile a creak of wood or some animal cry echoes throughout the swamplands.

Three days. l know where Outlook Rock is, but l have never been there myself. It shall take awhile to get there. l better start going on, although…..l hiss sharply. Nothing is amiss.

l uncoil from the tree and drop to the soggy ground, quickly heading towards the edge of the swampland.  l almost thought for a moment that l smelled something in the air…..

Khan~

The large orange tiger sharply snaps his tail through the air, digging his claws into a soft, rotting log. tearing it apart, agitated.  He doesn't like it. It is clawing at him inside, making him nervous and angry. Outlook Rock. Why in the name of the ancestors, did it have to be Outlook Rock? He lets out a frustrated growl.

Around him the jungle is peaceful. He once thought that peace had been enough for him. Oh how wrong he had been, in those days long ago.

l was so foolish and navie. How did l end up like this?

He wants to run to the end of all things, to get far away. But he can’t.

Khan swings around, sinking his claws into a nearby jungle tree, ripping up the bark. He doesn't want to think what will happen if he goes. He can’t stay hidden forever. He has to go.

Whisper ~

It's nighttime, on the same day I recieved the message from the blind man. Nobody else in my murder seems to be acting wierd, so I assume I'm the only one who got the message. Crows are so awesome, I'll bet that we're going to save the world one day. I wonder if any other crows from other murders got a message. Maybe. I'll just have to see in three days. Leaving the flock will be hard...I hope I can survive on my own for who knows how long.

~Feré~ He said to meet some others at Outlook rock. I wonder why. And who will they be? I can't help but shiver at my thoughts. The elephants are disturbing my thoughts.

"Quiet down there, you big leather hunks!" I yell. "We're having an important meeting!" One of them yells back at me. Yeah right. More like they're arguing who will drink from the watering hole first. I snicker, climbing up my tree higher. Yup. Just as I thought.

.:Elissa:.

Two more days of these three. I can handle. My tail twitches as I settle down, suddenly remembering what the Blind Man said. . . .

Elissa stalked silently behind the goat, the stupid creature completely unaware of her presence. Her paws made no sound over the packed snow as she tensed, ready to spring at the goat, when darkness curled from the edges of her vision, filling her eyes. . . . blinding her. . . . As she stood, binking shadows from her sight, she heard the goat bound away. There goes my lunch, she thought sullenly, as, in a swirl of shimmering mist, the Blind Man appeared. Elissa spat with disgust. A human. He was an awful thing, hunched with age or weakness, Elissa couldn't tell. She scowled, a growl rising in her throat, as the Man's bulging, sightless eyes turned to her. "I have a message for you. . . . "

I snarl, remembering the filth. Yet, I was intrigued by his mystery and eagerly await the meeting at Outlook Rock. . . .

.:All Done For Now:.

Okay, I will make the post where the meeting is, but it'll be fairly short so you guys can post what you think of it. So don't go ahead and make a post about it, wait for me.

**~Flittaswilla~**

I rush through the trees, flying faster and faster, swooping in and out of branches. I am feeling most scrumptiously glorious! I'm supposed to go somewhere! And meet some animals! Which is actualy galumshishly-bumshishly amazing! Because then I, the fastest of all bluejays (hee hee!) will show all those other animals who's boss, who's the fastest flyer and the sharperest mind-ee ever in the birdly wirdly worldish. And when I get there, and they see with there splitzy-bitzy sparkly lovy eyes that I am too, too shnaperoodle, they'll follow me anywhere and together! We! Will! Do! Anything! Of course, I'll be doing anythinger, more, more more! (Hee hee)

I swoop a few more milesies to my nest and it takes me little more than a minute! Lalalee, my younger sister, hops out of the supdupintiously cumfyish-cozyish ittle nest and greets me. "Hello!"

"Biddee-bo! Chirps!" I cry. I always greet her in this way. I have know idea why I do it, even with my sharpest mind-ee ever in the birdly wirdly world.

"Soon," I say in a sighing voice. "Soon, I will leave, Lee-lee-kins. You have to live without me, just for an itty-bitty-smitty little second. So, just don't leave the nest unless you! Absolutely! Need! To! And be safety-dafety. Just be alright."

"OK, you Flitzer-witzer! I got it! When are you leaving?"

"Sorry, my little chirpy-tootsie-Lalalee, can't tell you. And I can't tell you where I'll be, or how long I'll be, or anything else, OK?"

"But..."

"No buts, Queen Tut-sy-Lalalee! I'm going, and that's that."

I know I'll go, and we will do something worthy-whily-ish. I can't wait for another adventure, after being living away with Lalalee for years and months. I needy-beedy to get back out.

Sorry that I haven't been able to post!

.:Cress:.

Day one of three. l have come to realize that perhaps l will not get there in time. Out of the swampland, it is difficult to travel along the flat, open ground, and being a snake, not a four-legged or winged animal, makes it even harder.

Night is falling as l wind my way along the soft mud of a swallow stream. The land ahead is flat and dusty. l have never been here before, only knowing that this stream will lead me to a larger river, which in turn will take me to Outlook Rock. l know naught of what l will find there. Danger? Most certainly, but what else?

As l go on, l come across a crack between a large, flat rock and the ground. Shelter or the night, as l find it large enough to comfortably fit my whole length.

Coiled up, l rest my head on the ground and watch the light slowly fade from the sky. Tomorrow a new day. And what shall l find there?

Khan~

He takes a survey of the land, looking about, hastily. Khan knows very well where he is. And he doesn't like it.

He shifts from one paw to another, and then in an instint decides not to stay around, but to rather go hunting, as to take his mind off where he is.

It brings back so many memories, even though he’s still fairly fair from Outlook Rock. Things he never wanted to remember.

The land around him is covered in low, small shrubs. His coat in unnaturally bright against the green-grey of the grass and shrubs, which shall make it hard, but not impossible to catch prey.

He smells the air, scenting a faint trace of some small, furry, animal. Normally he wouldn’t go after something so small, but right now he doesn't care.

He quietly stalks through the shrubs, following the scent.

Distracted, he does not react quickly as a rabbit flashes out, a blur of brown as it dashes away.

He leaps in a run, but it the rabbit is far gone, leaving him wondering why he ever went to this place.
