~|Hannah|~ Bleah. I'm not okay at adverbs, but I'd rather be doing other stuff. I peer over my book, glancing around the room.

Emma Jong, Caroline Preston, Elena Zaidi, Emily Ashton,, Arabella Carter, Abigail Simmons, Kate Spencer, Giselle Harper, Parker Smith, Isabelle something, Evan Wang, Amelia Spencer, Skye Taylor, Maggie Barton, and a small group of kids I didn't bother learning their names.

And Esthelle Tinuviel. The girl with a Tolkienish name. She's over at her desk, reading a Jane Austen book. I wonder if it's Emma. I recently started reading that book. Esthelle seems like she enjoys classics.

I do enjoy a good classic. I think about passing her a note, but immedatly dismiss the thought. I'll have to talk to her after class.

"Amelia! What is the point of coming to class if you aren't going to pay attention?" I snicker softly at Mrs. Bytde. Honestly? You don't know? So our parents will be happy, and so we won't get detention.

If I'm not paying attention in class, then I'll just look up the subject on the internet. "What?" Amelia asks. I feel like smashing my face into my desk. You reply respectfully and try to act like a poster child, especially when you're not.

"You'll do well to be more attentive in class, Miss Spencer." What, did you pay perfect attention in class? I think not. Yes, Amelia should be told off, but not so harshly. But I do suppose it's the only way to drill a lesson into someone's mind.

I decided to write about my frustration with a fly that is buzzing around me, and has been for the past ten minutes.

Maggie~Adverbs. Easy. All you need to know about adverbs you can learn in about three minutes from a Schoolhouse Rock video. Which I have. I therefore, do not see the need to listen to the teacher. I am also pretty cool with reading in class, as I have discovered this talent for knowing exactly what the teacher is talking about, and what they just asked me. This, I'm pretty sure makes a lot of teachers feel pretty upset at me.

Speaking of which, I see a girl across the room getting scolded. Augh! What's her name? Is it Emily? Agatha? I'm super bad with names. The only girl I remember in here is Ariana ( I knew a girl with her name in third grade) and Emma, and that's because of the -cough, cough, incident, cough, cough- because the teacher mispronounced her name.

I pick up The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and hide it under my desk. I might have read this book over fifty times. It's kinda one of my fandoms. I know, you're thinking, What kind of a fandom is Huckleberry Finn? But seriously. I had a kinda crush on him in the fifth grade.

Um.

Awkward.

"Miss Barton, perhaps you know what an adverb does?" asks Mrs. Bytde. Oops. She knows I'm not paying attention. I rush back to good old Lolly's and check Schoolhouse Rock's definition for an adverb.

"An adverb is a form of speech that, um, modifies a verb, an adjective, and..." I forgot the rest. To my surprise, what comes out of my mouth next is singing.

"...or else another adverb, and so you see that it is positively very, very nessairy! Loll-"

Something instant in my brain tells me to shut my mouth. And I clamp it shut, and stare at the floor.

Great. Now everyone thinks I'm a complete idiot, and a total geek to boot.

To my surprise though, when I look up, Mrs. Bytde is nodding and smiling.

"I see someone's been doing their homework."

I laugh nervously, and look across the room, where I see that Ariana is looking straight at me and holding a slip of paper that says "Meet me after class."

Oooo...kkkk?

So, sorry if I used you too much, Cho!

~Hannah~

"An adverb is a form of speech that, um, modifies a verb, an adjective, and …" Maggie falls silent for a moment, them breaks out singing, "…or else an another adverb, and so you see that it is positively very, very important necessary! Loll-" She stops, looking at the ground.

I clamp my own mouth shut, trying not to laugh my head off. The most I can tell, is that was probably off of YouTube. I quietly tear two small pieces of paper from notebook, and scribble on both of them, "Meet me after class."

I fold one up into an airplane, and while Mrs. Bytes is saying, "I see someone has done their homework," I sail it over onto Esthelle's desk. It lands one her desk, and she jumps. She unfolds the paper, looking around behind her. I grin, and she returns the smile.

Once she twists back to face the front of the room, I hold out the other paper at Maggie. Emma catches my eye and frowns.

Maggie nods slowly.

Hey y'all! So, quick announcement, I am officially (in my world) changing my name. I love Willow as my charrie for my historical fic. RP, but I have needed a nickname for a while, and my brain has been on overdrive( we're doing an economics unit in social studies) so I haven't been able to come up with one. However, I have decided on a name.

From now on, I will be posting as Brooklyn Newsie, in honor of my Newsies fandom.

Please don't be confused when Brooklyn Newsie begins posting parts of the RP about Maggie Barton on here.

Willow OUT. (For good.)

Aw, man! Sorry Cho, I was refrencing your earlier charrie sheet, and I meant to call you Hannah in my first post, instead of Ariana. Please forgive my slip-up, and again, I'm sorry.

Maggie~I grab my T-shirt bag with the Charlotte's Web print on the front, which is heavy because it is full of books. As usual. Plus a few sketches of characters from my stories.

"I'll see you tomorow, Miss Barton?" asks Mrs. Bytde, her eyes twinkling. I seem to have met what Ann-with-an-e would call a kindred spirit. I smile back at her and wave, and head out the door, to where Hannah is waiting with...E-something? Some girl that I forgot the name of. Again. I officialy need to work on my social skills.

"So, hey?" I say. Gee. Talk about working on social skills.

"Hey," says Hannah.

"Hi," says that-other-girl-who's-name-starts-with-E.

"Um. You." I point to the girl, feeling awkward. "I forgot your-"

"It's Estelle." Estelle laughs.

"Oh. Sorr-"

"It's fine."

"Excuse me?" Emma Jong is walking toward us. "You know you're not supposed to pass notes in class, Hannah. Also, Maggie; where were you in math? He called your name in the roll."

"Oh...right...math. I was at this program for students who have just joined the district," I say. "Why? What happened?"

"Oh, that," Hannah says. "Well, let's just say Mr. Blits is a complete jerk. He tore a books spine, and hates 'literature.'"

"Yeah," says Estelle, who I notice has an old-looking book in her hand.

"So...Mr. Blits? As in, Blitzkrieg?"

Emma laughs, "Sure, maybe. He might be just as bad as that. Anyway, want to 'help?'"

"Hold it," I say, "help with what?"

"We're going to prank Mr. Blits."

"Wait, WHAT? We can't prank a teacher! Besides, why would you want me?"

"Well, A) I saw you with Huck Finn, B) you have the cover of Charlotte's Web on your bag, and C) you're smart."

"I am?'

"Sure," Hannah says "Look how you responded to Mrs. Bytde."

"Wait, she did what?" says Estelle. "Sorry. I kinda was reading the whole time."

"Must be a good book," Hannah laughs, and we all giggle.

"Anyway," says Emma annoyed. I guess she thinks that we're stalling. "Do you want to help?"

I squirm. Maybe I want to hear what the math class story is before I join. And I really don't want to get in trouble, and pranking a teacher could get me suspended, maybe even expelled.

"Here," I say. "Lunch is next. Let's just talk through this."

"Okay," shrugs Hannah.

"Sounds good," laughs Estelle.

Emma is silent.

"Come on, Emma."

She follows us to the cafeteria.

Sorry if I used Estelle, Hannah, and Emma too much!
