School Drama Reboot
This is a reboot of the original, which was created by me May 7th, 2015. It goes along the same lines. Rules below.
Rules
This is set in middle school. Most characters will be seventh graders. You can put some characters as sixth or eighth grades but the "default" is seventh.
Please create at least one girl and one guy. They can be relatively throw a way characters whose perspective you only write in ocassionally or only get mentioned, I don't really mind.
Please make characters who are original and interesting. If you have a character who is basically an insert of yourself, I will get irratated. I know you like writing as wonderfully awesome nerds such as ourselves, but real life is not like that. Try and go out of your writerly comfort zone, write as someone your complete opposite!
Groups
In each grade, there are some basic types of groups. There are two versions of each- popular and unpopular, except for the Kind Girls and Kind Boys, who are both only semi popular. You can be in one group, a social butterfly, or a lone wolf.

@Indi I kinda realized that from the start. It's alright :)
Miley is colorblind. She has Deuteranopia, a disorder that makes her unable to see green and red. Because of this, she is fasinated by color, and is saving her money for some lenses to help her see color. This effects a lot of her time playing video games.
Is this alright?

@Mei There is some room, but considering how much trouble I'm having trying to keep apart the crushes and getting everyone organized, it would be a lot easier if I didn't have to deal with more joiners. I'd rather not, but if you think you'd be super dedicated and have a really great character and stuff, then you can join.
@Gared Like I said about your character. Could you please take another look at him?
@Joss and Cho Chang I've been thinking about who would sort of be the reigning group at this school. While there's probably other mini cliques above them, I feel like it's very likely Megan, Audrey, Britt and Aya would be one of the top tier groups. Are you okay with this idea?

Yeah, I feel like Megan would be one of the top cliques because she loves to be in charge. Rey would too, but she'd be more sporty than girly. Also, I think Megan should have a crush on Alex, if that's OK with you.

Mark thinks Irina and Brittnay are kinda cute, but doesn't really focus on crushes that much. He also enjoys talking with Saki and Audrey.
Miley has a slight crush on Leo and Oliver, and a rather large crush on Alex. She always stammers whenever she is near Alex.
I might organize this all into groups for myself, so I know who to send Miley and Mark to hang out with when the rp starts.

Hi, this is Gared. I am super sorry about this, but I would really like to keep my character. Yes, I know. See, maybe I could... tweak some things. Ok, I know, here is my idea. He could be a know-it-all, and that could add a new dynamic. Or he could stay as-is. I know. But I could pull off the best posts I have ever done. I have experience writing as a cold, fact based person, so I could write really well. I know it is a self-insert, but please. Or I can come up with something else.

I'm perfectly fine with you keeping your spot in the RP. I never meant for you to feel like you had to pull out. What I had trouble with was the nature of your character. The lack of detail and self inserty-ness kind of bothered me, but what was more off putting to me was the type of character he was going to be. Cold, fact-based works well in mysteries or steampunk or dystopian, not the crushy, drama prone world of middle school. You see what I mean?

But the contrast... Ok, I can tell this is going to be a long fight. And what do you mean by 'self instertyness'? But if you won't accept that, I can coem up with something else. Ok, maybe I sould quit. Ok, here's the point: if everyone is super emotional, someone who isn't makes a really weird dynamic. Ok, I will redo the character sheet:

Appearance: Tall, with brown hair and green eyes. Wears beat-up jeans and tee-shirts, usualy with animal graphics. Wears a pair of black Chuck Taylors.
Personality: Nice, laid back. Playes the drums. Although caring, has a slightly skewed moral compass, and doesn't always help those who need it. That comes arcoss as being a bully sometimes, and he has trouble keeping friends he has made. Self centered. He will always help himself. Howeaver, he has made, if not friends, himself fairly well regarded. He tries to not get caught up in drama.

Sorry Mei and UNSUSPCTINGSTRYTLLR, I have come to the conclusion that I'm no longer accepting joinees. We have not started the RPG, but for this RP I was thinking of having some more time figuring out the friendgroups and whatnot beforehand. I don't want to have to catch your characters up in the process, and if I allow you guys to join even more people will be able to slip in and this RPG will never get on the road. I'm sure you guys can find another RP to join, one that isn't already so far along.
