Combat Cliff RP!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Combat Cliff RP!

Combat Cliff RP!

Across the fantasical land of Altruica (all-TRUE-ick-ah), Dimidiae-level students (elementary-highschool) are preparing for the friendly competition to take place on Combat Cliff. The teams:

Topazes

Team colors: yellow and black.

Favored weapon: A sword with a thick blade and capped end (no killing or maiming or you loose your desert privilages!!!)

Captain: Undecided.

Co-Captain: Keen Scartington (my charrie to come)

Base: An old Pre-school building, hidden within a patch of woods under the huge shadow of the looming cliff.

Rubies

Team colors: Red and black.

Favored weapon: A long staff that can be held in the middle or on either end, with a small ruby embedded in one end.

Captain: Tamala Camelia (pre-ordained charrie: felt like we need some leadership in case no one steps up).

Co-Captain: Undecided.

Base: A collection of bright red tents close to the cliff's rocky edges, separated from the main combat feild by a thin layer of scraggly trees.

Each team is divided into stratigests, archerers (with dull arrows meant to only confuse/bruise/knock of guard the opposing team), and fighters. Most of the caves in the cliff such as Archerer's Ambush and other such craggs are fair game for skirmishes, ambushes, spying, and more.

Rules:

If someone is seriously injured (broken bone other than fingers/toes, concussion, etc. Sprained ankle? You're fine, get some ice on it and keep fighting!), a momentary truce between the injured and his/her opponent while nearby teammates help him/her up to Team's Ledge, halfway up the cliff.

Stratigests can only fight if their base is attacked.

Treasureman's Cave, sitiuated near the top of Combat Cliff, is ABSOLUTELY BANNED and NO ONE is allowed in it because of it's unsafeness.

If someone disobeys rules, teachers and coaches are standing by to help up in the cliff's HQ building on the summit.

*looks at time. Yawns...* I promised myself I stay committed! Ahhh! Gahhh! Mmmpphh! Ya-awn. Okay, I'll to this for Narnia and the North! Please post ya'll! Get creative!

Amethyst~

I skirt around the Captain's tent, trying to fasten my stratigest's jacket of the thinnest silk that was cool and smooth against my skin as I run. This year, I am determined to be the first Ruby to spot the red flag and report it to Tamala and Cleo. Clearing my throat, I prepare to yell out at any second. I fix my eyes on the cliff's summit. The few second's wait seems to be a year. Then, just when my eyes begin to water from staring, there is a splash of red.

"The flag! The flag!" I yell, but too late. Tamala has already been alerted by a pack of boys with sharp eyes and sharper tongues.

"Archerers, here, combatants, to my left. Cleo, take the stratigests into the main tent for debriefing. It's part of the rules that the Captain and Co-Captain do not exposed their plan to the rest of the team until the red flag begins waving. It's part of the battle experiance. Excitedly, I follow Cleo, the co-captain, into the largest tent.

"Okay," she says, taking a map down from the temporary cubbies on the tent fabric and spreading it across a table, "here's the plan."

Now to you, Daisy! And I think the hospital RP may be dead.

Katasa~

I have nothing personal against Team Topaz, but I do get a sense of satisfaction knowing that we have nice, sturdy pavilions and they're in a preschool.

As I walk along the row of tents, I come across multiple girl chatting. "Hello," I interject. They turn and smile. "Hi!" one says...

Oh, uh, to me. Great. Here goes, uh, nothing. (Deep breath)

Cleo~

All of my team members of Ruby file in, one by one. Some look nervous, some look confident, but there are also a few who look like they want to challenge my authority. I can't allow that. I clear my throat once the last person enters. There are only four other people besides Tamala and I. "Ahem." I say. No one pays attention to me. They are laughing, jostling, and talking loudly. I sigh. They are so undisclipined!

I shout out, "Right then. Next person to make a sound will do 20 push-ups!" That caught their attention. It was a still as a mouse. I continued, "That's better. From hereafter, anyone talking while I'm talking will be sent with my complaints straight to Tamala. Understood?"

I heard a murmur of "Yes, ma'am."

"Good. Now we can continue. I have decided to set us on the offensive. We will not sit here like ducks while our enemies cower! We are short of fighters, so I want each of you to be extremely careful. Do not take unnessessary risks. Anyone hurt must stop fighting. However, a few broken fingers or a sprained wrist are nothing. I don't want to hear of anybody shirking. Understood? Good. I want Katasa and Elysia to attack Topazs base. Attack together, then spread out and cause as much destruction and confusion as you can. Try not to actually attack them, just mess up their camp. Heck, they have a preschool building. It should be easy. Once your done, go ahead and come back. Elara, stay behind them. If they need help, help them, but otherwise, stay out of the mayhem and make your report back to me once your done. Take your bow and arrow. We may need it. Amethyst, you will stay with me."

"Yes ma'am!" They shouted and filed out of the tent quickly. They all looked eager and confident in me.

"Elara; wait." Once everyone had filed out, my best friend stayed. She looked at me inquirerly. I sit down and tiredly gesture for her to do the same. "What's wrong, Cleo?" She asks.

"I'm so tired... We don't have many people. Only two fighters, one strategist, and one archer. I need you to spy on their camp, Elara. Katasa and Elysia are actually just providing you a chance to see how well they react to surprises. I am especially hopeful you may catch a glimpse of their leader, Flynn. I don't have a very high opinion of him. See what you can find out, and don't put yourself in any danger unless absolutely necessary. Okay? Don't disappoint me."

"I won't!" She salutes me and runs out, graceful and long strides.

Daisy, I think we should pretend that there are other people than just our charries in the game. For instance, I was thinking we would have hundreds and hundreds of people, but we don't have to mention them. Like in Percy Jackson, we have the main charries, and the knowledge that there are other poeple at Camp Halfblood too. You're welcome to make up small charries as we go along. I was hoping that this RP will help our battle writing skills, and we can't have a good battle with a handful of people!

I rip the protection off my sword. Go big or go home.

I run to the center of the Topaz area.

"L-listen to me." I mutter. Nobody nobody looked at me.

I moved to a higher part of the ground.

"Listen to me, you idiots." I yelled. My stutter dissapeared. "You will listen to me. I know what is best for the team. So, don't disobey me."

I  know it is confusing which charrie belongs to which team. After this, how about we say "Amethyst, Ruby~" or "Cleo, Ruby~" to specify what is happening where. Thanks!

Oh! Okay, that's so much easier. Sorry! Yes, I hope you don't mind if I incorporate a few secondary Charries.

Sorry I haven't posted earlier, I was camping!

Elysia, ruby~

I walk into camp, sizing everyone up. Everyone stand around chattering when suddenly the captain catches their attention. And threatens push ups.

 "I want Katasa and Elysia to attack Topazs base. Attack together, then spread out and cause as much destruction and confusion as you can. Try not to actually attack them, just mess up their camp. Heck, they have a preschool building. It should be easy. "

*Later*

Katasa an I sneak through the the undergrowth with our staffs. It seems that the Topazes weapons have an advantage - swords versus staffs doesn't seem quite fair, but we're both quick and agile, and I know that at least I am well trained in fighting.

We approach the front of the preschool building. A line of guards stands up front, swords at the ready. It would be unwise to attack with only two people, so we'll have to sneak in somehow. "Which way will we go?" I whisper.

"Around to the right there's a place we can get through the window without being seen," she replies.

We sneak around the side of the building and climb in. I don't see anyone, but I feel like we're being watched. We need to act quickly. "Go to the other side of the building and set off the smoke alarm. I'll do this side. That should give us enough distraction to wreck this place," I grin.

"I'm on it."

~~~
Sorry if I controlled Katasa too much!
Sorry I haven't posted, guys. I've been busy with schoolwork, preparing to go to WA (by freaking out), and bugging my mom about fifty different things. So.
Elara, Ruby~
I'm here. I'm really here. "Elara!" someone calls. I whip around. "Cleo." I say, with a slight smile on my face.
"You made co-cap, I see." Cleo smilews, slightly embaressed. "Yeah." I nod. "Congratulations." I was hoping to be co-cap, but I knew it wasn't likely. I'd probably be a strategist. Which I am.
We make our way over to the base. Team members come in, all laughing and talking happily together. "Ahem." Cleo says. Nada. She sighs, then shouts, "Right then. Next person to make a sound will do 20 push-ups!"
I was already. "That's better. From hereafter, anyone talking while I'm talking will be sent with my complaints straight to Tamala. Understood?"
I nod as many say, "Yes, ma'am."
"Good. Now we can continue. I have decided to set us on the offensive. We will not sit here like ducks while our enemies cower! We are short of fighters, so I want each of you to be extremely careful. Do not take unnessessary risks. Anyone hurt must stop fighting. However, a few broken fingers or a sprained wrist are nothing. I bite my lip, then nod. "Yes ma'am!" They shouted and filed out of the tent quickly. They all looked eager and confident in me.
"Elara; wait." Cleo said. "What's wrong, Cleo?" I ask.
"I'm so tired... We don't have many people. Only two fighters, one strategist, and one archer. I need you to spy on their camp, Elara. "I won't!" I salutes me and run out. She asked me. To spy. Oh, dear. How am I going to do this?
Note: it is possible to force the opposing team into surrender. A team cannot fight if many of its members are in captivity. Another thing which I have mentioned before: I think it would be easier to have lots of players on each team, we just don't have to mention them all.
Keen, Topaz~
"The flag! The flag!" The cry grows louder and louder. Hundreds of yellow and black clad kids race out the doors of the crumpling, ivy covered Topaz base to the yellow tents surrounding it. I follow, leaving the grumpy head archerer, Marieldest, to her maps in Room 5. There it is. A splash of color against the brilliant and cloudless sky. The game has begun. Flynn tries to say something. I can't really hear over the noise. Seeing a girl in front of me with her back turned, I look over at Kendall, and mime cutting off one of her long braids with my sword, exagerating every motion. She hides her face in her hands, shaking her head and laughing. Suddenly, someone yells: "Listen up you idiots!" I turn around. It sounded like Flynn, our young, stuttering Captain. But it couldn't be... I drop the girl's braid and sheathe my sword, making sure that the white safety cap was still on it. Flynn's eyes circle around the three tents, observing his team. We have so many players this year, but, then again, so do the Rubies. As Flynn finishes talking, I jog up beside him, waiting for him to outline the plan. I know that I'm leading the majority of the combatants into battle, to try to attack the base and take as many prisoners as we can, but Flynn has been very secretive about the rest of the plan.
((Cho, i hope you don't mind. I sorta fastforwarded. You can still post about the spying, thoguh. I just wanted to get this thing moving along.))
Cleo, Ruby~~~
I sigh. From what Elara told me about the Topaz's, I had gleaned that they are better situatied than  i had originally thought.
Apparently their commander, Flynn, is determined, if harsh; and he might prove to be a formidable enemy. Thier base is secure. Their soldiers are talented and brave. Their strategists? Brilliant. I am worried.
I need to prepare.
"Elara!" I call.
"What is it, Cleo?"
"I need you to grab all the leaders and bring them to me." Elara nodded and ran out of the room.
I plan to assign guards around the camp, schedule training for the soldiers, and talk with the strategists. I also plan to make each archer train every day at the archery range. We can win this, if we play it smart. We can and will.
((Anybody at all on team Ruby! Report to Cleo, please!!!!!))
Okay, I have a minute between school and rehearsal :):)  I'm sorry I have not been posting a lot. I'm about a little less than a month away from Opening Night, and that is The Time of Mad Rehearsing and Late Night Schoolwork as I have dubbed it.
Amethyst, Ruby~
I feel a hand on my shoulder. "Hey, Cleo wants to see everyone to go over the plan," a girl says. I try to remember her name. Strawberry blonde hair...big blue eyes...Elia? Ella? Ara? Something like that. My chest tightens. What did I do? Why me? 11-year-old Amethst who isn't really good at anything? Frowning in confusion, I stutter:
"Wh-why me?" Out of the corner of my eye, I glance at Tamala for conformation. Of course she doesn't look my way.
~-~
I thought we already went over the plan, Daisy. Are we going to attack now??? What exactly is happening? Flynn just posted that the Topazes are planning to attack you directly, probably in the feild between the bases.
Ack! I smell something burning...oops, that would be my supper. I am horrible at cooking :P
