Zodiac RP!!!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Zodiac RP!!!

Zodiac RP!!!

At the beginning of time, the Zodiac hosted 13 Houses. Cancer, Libra, Gemini, Aries, Taurus, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, and Ophiuchus. As the years passed, the ruler of House Ophiuchus became jealous and bitter towards the other Houses and attempted to overthrow them to gain complete control over the Zodiac. Ophiuchus failed, and his House was reduced to a vague memory.

Now, thousands of years later, strange things have been happening, causing unrest within the Zodiac. Over the past several years, the Guardians of each House have been dying prematurely of freak accidents, illnesses, and strange occurences. Now, the young new Guardians, chosen by the stars, have finally come of age to take on the immense responsibility of leading their House. What no one knows is that these 12 new Guardians are different from all previous ones. These 12 are gifted with the powers that only the original 12 had. They are direct descendants of the first Guardians of the Zodiac. And they will have to form an unlikely team in order to find out who or what is causing the unrest within the Zodiac.

The twelve Houses have been divided for over 100 years. In order to overcome this looming threat, these 12 young people must learn to trust in each other, and convince their Houses to unite as one Zodiac. Not 12 Houses.

________________

Alright, so this RP is based off of a book I read a little while back called Zodiac.

The powers that you have are based off the Zodiac signs.For example,  Cancer might have something to do with water. Also, a side note- Gemini is techincally ruled by twins, but for the purposes of having 12 people, let's just pretend that there was only one new person chosen. You can make up to 2 charries, but you can't have both of them be Guardians. You are allowed to be someone related to a Guardian, or one of their advisors, or something if you want. It would be great if all 12 main charrie spots get filled!

Okay, charrie sheet:

Name:

Personality:

Appearance:

House:

Guardian or not:

If not, what is your connection to a Guardian?

If yes, what is your power?

Other:

My Charrie:

Name: Rowan (Rho) Hail

Gender: Female

Age (15-20): 16

Personality: Kind, empathetic, diplomatic, loyal, fierce, trusting. Further developed in the story.

Appearance: Dark brown, almost black hair with deep, berry red highlights, falls down to mid-back. Crystal clear, strikingly sharp, arctic blue eyes. A little on the tall side for her age, lithe, athletic figure.

House: Libra

Guardian or not: Yes

If not, what is your connection to a Guardian?

If yes, what is your power? Can control air.

Other: Can we get a good love triangle or two?

I refuse to let this die!

Areti~

My adivisor is in the room at 7:00. She says, "You must wake up with the sun. We never have winter. Always Spring, Fall, and Summer. So, get up at six!" That doesn't sound so hard. Rhis morning, I am free to explore. To do this, I am given special boots, and my perfectionary. My mornings are to be spent harnessing my powers.

The dew on the grass seems to speak, saying hello, hello, friend. Welcome, welcome. This proves to be unusual. A doe pauses, and instead of running, says ride, ride, ride. Honored to carry...ride... My first doe ride! Not too unusual. She lets me off near the stream where I am to collect moss and water samples.

I'm liking this more by the minute.

Rowan~

The next morning, I wake to see a very pleasant surprise sitting at the foot of my bed.

"Fenrys!" I laugh, as my best friend shouts my name in my face.

"Oh my stars I can't believe you're going to be the new Guardian! This is amazing! We get to travel and see everything and--"  I put my hand over her mouth, and we collapse in a fit of giggles, as if we are young girls again. A warm feeling flows through me in appreciation for her Sagittarian heart. It is unusual for people of different Houses to know each other so well before they reach Academy (which is kind of like college), but Fenrys is a bit of a strange exception. She was raised on House Libra, but her father lives on House Sagittarius.

"How did you get in here?" I ask.

"You looked very alone yesterday, when meeting everyone. So, I took the liberty of making sure you would have someone in your journey," a male voice sounds from the doorway as my advisor steps in.

I meet his gaze, "Thank you, Matthias. I really appreciate the gesture."

His face remains a calm, practiced mask of impasive calm, but I notice a small flicker of something behind his eyes. Sadness? Wistfulness? I wipe the thought from my head as I slip out of the soft, warm bed. I revel for a moment at the luxurious smooth silk of my nightgown as I walk across the room to face Matthias.

"Alright. What's the plan for the day?" I ask, steeling myself.

"Let's start by getting you ready for the day," he says, stepping backwards as two girls around my age step in. "This is Mare and this is Gisa," the girls each smile in turn, "they're going to help you in the process of becoming a Guardian. They'll give you advice for proper attire, and they helped the previous Guardian," he pauses, swallowing, "so they'll be good help when I'm not around."

I nod, but he doesn't see it as he turns on his heel and leaves the room.

"Well," I say, turning to the girls, a faint smile on my face, "Do what you must."

Later~~~~

I walk through the woods, Fenrys at my side. I have until breakfast to just relax and enjoy the new planet. My Scan should alert me when I have 10 minutes of free time left. Then, I must return to eat and get ready to visit the Zcentre planet and meet the other newly made Guardians. Until then, I'm happy to listen to Fen's ever present chatter. When we reach a meadow of wildflowers, a game of tag breaks out. After a few minutes a wind kicks up, and we stop for a break.

"I wish it wasn't windy today," Fen sighs.

"Yeah, " I sigh in reply. Almost immediately, the wind dies down and the meadow is still.

"How did you do that?" Fenrys asks, sounding shocked.

"What?" I am confused.

"Make the wind stop."

"I didn't do that."

"Yes, you did."

"No. How would that be possible?"

"It's not. Only the original Guadians had powers-- Wait," I can almost see Fen's Sagittarian brain kick into high gear.

I stay quiet, knowing that something is brewing in that brilliant brain.

Finally, she says, "Try to do it again."

"Excuse me?" I laugh nervously, incredulous.

"Do something with the wind again," she repeats calmy, but her eyes are alight with curiosity.

I draw in a breath and focus on the air around us. I imagine them swirling together into a small whirlwind, round and round in an endless loop. Nothing happens. Fenrys gives me an encouraging smile. I try a new tactic. Waving my hand in a vaguely circular motion, I imagine a whirlwind again... And, to my surprise, it works. There, hovering in the air, is a small, perfectly contained whirlwind.

"Yes, my theory is correct!" Fen crows in delight.

"Care to explain?" I ask, equally delighted and curious.

"Nope!" comes the cheerful reply.

And so we continue with our experimenting for the next half an hour.

I groan in disapointment when my Scan blinks to life behind my eyes.

"Time to go?" my friend asks, her face sympathetic. I nod, forcing a smile.

"Well, I'll be in my room until you get back. They gave me a suite that conects to yours!" she tells me. So that's what that door lead to... I make a mental note on my Scan.

When Fenrys and I make it back to the palace, we are immediately ushered into what I am told is the Garden of Balance for breakfast.

When breakfast is over, Matthis asks, "Are you ready, Lady Rowan, to meet the people you shall work with for your time ruling?"

"As I'll ever be," is my reply.

Then, it's time for me to board the starship to meet the other Guardians.

I'll invent something. Hopefully it's canon with what's happening right now.

Ryan Wing~

I sit in the starship, eyes narrowed at the piece of paper in front of me. How could I be chosen as a Guardian when I can't even draw a decent picture? Although I've sat here for nearly twenty minutes, the paper is still blank. I think of my younger sister, who is clearly the artist of the family—she think something up as soon as her pencil touches the paper. My drawings are still pretty good, but will probably never be as good as hers.

There aren't any windows in the starship. It's very comfortable, but I would love to see the stars outside. Maybe it's dangerous. I don't know. I focus once again on the paper, deciding to draw my House's representative, the bull.

At first I sketch, blocking out the main shapes. My bull is grazing, gentle, not the charging beasts that others seem to think of when they think of bulls. It comes easily to me, and I envision the scene unfolding as I draw it.

It's a good day. The sun is bright, but not too bright, gently casting golden rays on the grass. There is some birdsong; not too loud, but just the right amount. The grass in the valley is verdant, spotted with colorful flowers. It dimples slightly under the bull's hooves, flattening, but the bull steps lightly, grazing peacefully. Its big, brown eyes are half-closed as it enjoys the sun warming its back. Its tail swishes and it paws the earth. Its coat is a gleaming black, strong muscles rippling as it moves to a new patch of grass...

"Master Ryan!" I'm jerked from my thoughts by the call. It's a flight attendant, rolling a cart of refreshments towards me.

"Are you hungry?" she asks. "Or maybe you want something to drink?"

I blink. "No, but thank you for asking."

"Of course, Guardian!" She rolls her cart away.

I sigh, returning to my drawing. Not for the first time, I wish that someone would treat me like the normal person I used to be, not some kind of humanized god. Maybe the other Guardians will. I hope..

So this is for a new character who will be introduced soon

Name: Mausumi

Age: Currently 15

Personality:Short tempered, trusting, bright and bubbly at times.  Is extremely intelligent.

Appearance: Has short, honey blonde colored hair that frames her face which is sometimes mistaken as orange, and dark brown eyes that are very wide.  Her skin tone is somewhat dark.

House:  Libra

Guardian or not: the fifteenth guardian of Libra.

If not, what is your connection to a Guardian?

If yes, what is your power?

She is not an original guardian or one of the present guardians, so she does not have any powers.

Time for the reveal!!!

Eudora~

In the midst of green lights there was the small yellow dot that flickered on and off.  All twelve of the guardian locks were hidden in my coat, since all of the trials were completed.  I could make out the bodies of the glowing guardians, trapped in the never-ending death of which was Ophiuchus's lab.

A single fingerprint scan was all the machine needed to bring the old lab to life.  I could feel the stinging sensations, crawling in every inch of my body as the beings came back to life.  After moments passed, all was silent and countless pairs of eyes had met mine.

Sagittarius, Aries, Libra, Leo, Cancer, Virgo,  Aquarius, Pisces, Taurus, Gemini, Capricorn, and Scorpio.  Here lived hundreds of the different guardians, stuck in my unbreakable pods in an eternal death.  Here they would stay forever and never age; the perfect revenge for what they did to my father.

A certain honey-haired and brown eyed girl caught my eye, and we locked gazes.  A large crack was visible in her pod.

"Mausumi, fifteenth guardian of Libra," I said monotonously.  The name rolled off my tongue slowly. "There may be only a few activities you are limited to, and escaping is not one of them."

"Likewise, Eudora," Mausumi replied, a solemn look on her face.  "There may be so many things you could do,  but overthrowing the houses?  I'd wish I could escape here soon enough to see you try."

A steely gaze was fixed on my face.  "Now's not the time for your silly games, Libra," I said, my eyes fixated on the screen once again.

"What are you going to do now, Ophiuchus?"  A masculine voice called out, sarcastically.  "Drain us again?  What good will it do?"

If only the Aries knew.  Every time I would drain them of their powers, my life blood gets excited and their powers flew into me, naturally reviving me.  With a small smile on my face, I clicked the red button and the screams began to reach my ears.

Maybe you can't tell me this yet, but what do you mean by their powers? As in: Every time I would drain them of their powers, my life blood gets excited and their powers flew into me, naturally reviving me.

What powers do you mean?

I didn't exactly think this through, but I guess like their guardian blood?  Maybe their spirits that make them a guardian.

Hi! I kind of maybe might have gotten my computer banned... but I'm back now! And regionals is tomorrow Kestrel! Aaaaah! I've been practicing like an hour a day!

Alya~

Every nerve in my body is shaking in excitement as we await to see who the new scorpio guardian is. I kind of half hope that it will be me, but I doubt it will. A lot of Scorpios think of it as highly competetive and are really set on being chosen. So I don't have much a hope.

So that's why I almost didn't hear my name being called. My head jerks up and I gasp. A few other Scorpios glare at me in jealous resentment, but the majority smile and congratulate me. I grin shakily and repeat the words of accepance.

~~~
Ok, skipping a bit... Moving things along...
After being shuttled to my new planet and exploring for a while, it was finally time to meet the other guardians. After taking a deep breath, I walk through the doors to the room where we'll meet. A girl with dark brown hair and blue eyes is already waiting. "Oh, hey, I'm Rowan, the Libra guardian!" she says.
"Guardian?"
I turn away from the window as the door opens, and a black-haired boy enters the room, "Yes?"
"Uh... it's time to meet the other guardians."
I nod, "Okay," And follow him out of the room.
He leads me to a starship, and I board it. He slips in behind me as the starship takes off. I look out the window, at the planets swirling by, so many different colors... I look back at the boy. He looks a bit... wistful? I cock my head, thinking, and when he turns toward me, I ask, "What's your name?"
He looks surprised, "Oh, Rueben Weatherall."
I nod. The name sounds familiar, for some reason, but all the names I learned yesterday... old guardians, current guardians... I'm sure one of them has a similar name. The starship lands, and I get out, looking around at all the guardians getting out of their own starships.
Sorry it's so short.
"Change of courses.." my advisor announces. "I guess I was late or something to pick you up, it's time to meat the other gaurdains!"
"WHAT?! I DON'T EVEN GET TO SEE WHERE I LIVE FIRST?"
"Nope!" he says too enthusdactidaly.
I groaned. I whished my friends were here. I wish they didn't hate me fo being chosen. I wish so many things...all of which will never come true.
I wish there were no guardians. There were no seporate houses. We were all friends. I could trust everyone I meet.
I didn't have to be a guardian.
The starship slowed to a stop and my advisor ushered me out. Stout old man, I can walk myself! I thought angerly.
Then I saw them. All the different colors of starships of the zodiac. Mine was a deep blue, the one's banking me were tall and also the colors of their signs. I stepped fowards, and saw the glowing blue sign on the ground before me. I knelt down and brushed it with my hands before looking around. There were twelve others in a tight circle with mine. The twelth though, looked as if it had been burnt off, and all that was left was the scarred earth where it once was.
