Zodiac RP!!!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Zodiac RP!!!

Zodiac RP!!!

At the beginning of time, the Zodiac hosted 13 Houses. Cancer, Libra, Gemini, Aries, Taurus, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, and Ophiuchus. As the years passed, the ruler of House Ophiuchus became jealous and bitter towards the other Houses and attempted to overthrow them to gain complete control over the Zodiac. Ophiuchus failed, and his House was reduced to a vague memory.

Now, thousands of years later, strange things have been happening, causing unrest within the Zodiac. Over the past several years, the Guardians of each House have been dying prematurely of freak accidents, illnesses, and strange occurences. Now, the young new Guardians, chosen by the stars, have finally come of age to take on the immense responsibility of leading their House. What no one knows is that these 12 new Guardians are different from all previous ones. These 12 are gifted with the powers that only the original 12 had. They are direct descendants of the first Guardians of the Zodiac. And they will have to form an unlikely team in order to find out who or what is causing the unrest within the Zodiac.

The twelve Houses have been divided for over 100 years. In order to overcome this looming threat, these 12 young people must learn to trust in each other, and convince their Houses to unite as one Zodiac. Not 12 Houses.

________________

Alright, so this RP is based off of a book I read a little while back called Zodiac.

The powers that you have are based off the Zodiac signs.For example,  Cancer might have something to do with water. Also, a side note- Gemini is techincally ruled by twins, but for the purposes of having 12 people, let's just pretend that there was only one new person chosen. You can make up to 2 charries, but you can't have both of them be Guardians. You are allowed to be someone related to a Guardian, or one of their advisors, or something if you want. It would be great if all 12 main charrie spots get filled!

Okay, charrie sheet:

Name:

Personality:

Appearance:

House:

Guardian or not:

If not, what is your connection to a Guardian?

If yes, what is your power?

Other:

My Charrie:

Name: Rowan (Rho) Hail

Gender: Female

Age (15-20): 16

Personality: Kind, empathetic, diplomatic, loyal, fierce, trusting. Further developed in the story.

Appearance: Dark brown, almost black hair with deep, berry red highlights, falls down to mid-back. Crystal clear, strikingly sharp, arctic blue eyes. A little on the tall side for her age, lithe, athletic figure.

House: Libra

Guardian or not: Yes

If not, what is your connection to a Guardian?

If yes, what is your power? Can control air.

Other: Can we get a good love triangle or two?

Eudora~

Tonight was the night.  The villages of the planet were prepping endlessly for the coming of the new guardians.  Few of the children were off schedule and had arrived early.  I jumped down, facing a bunch of servants who merely turned a blind eye to me.

They wouldn't notice me.  I was not known by anyone in the galaxy.  Nobody knew Ophiuchus was back.  In front of my was one guardian, crouched down on the ground, was examining the marks on the bright gold marks blue soil.  We were standing in the guardian circle, where all guardians would meet in a couple of hours.  The marks of the zodiacs were decorated all around the soil.  The tracings were lit up in a bright gold.

Another starship was visible almost half a mile in the sky.  One of the men held bright cones in his hands, directing the ship to its platform.  Gusts of smoke blew all around us, making my coat fly out at the ends.  I hugged myself to keep it close to me.

What these mindless brutes didn't know, it was what happened on this very ground.

As time passed on, more guardians had arrived on the sacred soil of the guardian planet.

It was time.

(Please post guys!  I refuse to let this die!)

Areti~

The air was quiet, laden with a sort of music that seemed to be coming from the faraway stars. My adivisor seemed not to her this, but to only feel the mystic warmth that hung in the air. The starship was quickly approaching the planet. I could not wait.

I stroll confidently down the smooth ramp leading onto the planet. Though most of the trip was spent in shivering bouts of nervousness, my strength returned as soon as the ship first touched lightly down. I'm one of the last here, but no one seems to notice as I take my place beside the sign of our house. It glows faintly gold in the light of the setting sun. I hope the stars are watching. I wish with a smile. To see the new guardian. Me. Who could've expected it. I look up to inspect the others. Most are standing nervously with their advisor. I turn around to find mine. She's watching the others too, her left hand held out. Oh, right. I think with embarrasment. I follow her example, calling up the list of houses and their new guardians. The one at the top, Aquarius, blinks at me expectantly. Eri. I try to find her in the circle. She's on my left, chatting comfortably with the Cancer guardian, one of the very few to actaully look at home. I continue on, my tattoo blinking each time something is stored in its memory. But soon, all conversation dies away. I look up. An old man has stepped into the middle of the circle. After a moment, he clears his throat and begins his address.

"Guardians," he says in a cracked voice, "you have been chosen by the stars, twelve for each house." his gaze flickers to a dark, scorched mark, in the circle on the words "twelve", but he continues on normally. I study it while he's talking. It looks like it used to be some sort of symbol, one that I've never seen before. Could there have been thirteen houses long ago? I've never heard of anything like that. I shake my head in disbelief. Surely not. But I mentally store the picture anyway. No such thing as being too careful. Or curious.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1.) I'm going to change my advisor to a girl of that's okay.
2.) Lucy B., I'm so sorry for taking this spot! I was just really taken by the house and how it could affect the Guardian's personality and powers. I'm actually an Aries. But I hope this rp will still be fun for you!
3.) So.... what happens next? Eudora?
4.) I'll post again this week, just as soon as I know what should be going on. Don't let this die!
I'm so sorry I've been absent! Thank you, everyone, for keeping this thread going and keeping it relatively topped! I promise I'll make more of an effort to post as soon as the SSATs are over this weekend. Apologies if this seems a bit rushed...
Rowan~
I emerge from my ship onto a fairly large circular expanse. The guardian planet. I can't help but gaze around in awe for a moment, at the beautiful signs carved into the ground, at the quiet power emanating from the very ground. Blinking, I quickly pull myself together, schooling my face into a mask of calm. I look around as figures step out onto their own circles. I turn on my Scan, documenting each person as they arrive.
A girl from Pisces with wavy black hair. My Scan identifies her name as Penny.
A boy from Leo, with light brown coloured hair and an interesting mask on his face. Chameron Baan, according to my Scan.
Eri Tha. A long, red haired girl with beautiful green eyes. Aquarius.
A girl called Halle, with blonde hair and eyes like the ocean. Cancer.
Areti Sanchez. Virgo. Strawberry blonde.
Alya Kieria, a girl with dark, wild hair, dark skin, wearing a weathered cloak and a fierce look on her face. Scorpio.
The list goes on for each Guardian, my Scan automatically documenting everything about them.
Finally, everyone has arrived. A wizened old man steps out into the center of the circle of people, each standing at the respective sign. I notice a sign that has been scorched off, and focus on it, noting every possible detail as the man began to speak.
"Guardians," he says in a cracked voice, ragged with the weight of time "you have been chosen by the stars, twelve for each house."
I hear a ripple of murmuring travel through the circle as advisors and Guardians alike lean forward to hear his words. So. This man is important. It might be nice to get him on my side.
"It is unusual for our beloved Guardians to die in such close proximity, timewise, but this is a very unstable time for the Zodiac. Dark forces are brewing, and the stars have sent us a message,”
“What message?” someone across the circle cuts in.
“This is neither the time nor the place for it to be told. There are too many prying ears that may use it against you,” he looks over his shoulder, but I don’t catch where exactly he is looking.
“Just know that you twelve were chosen for a very specific reason. You may well be the ones to end this dark period.”
More agitated murmuring ensues.
“The constellations have fallen out of sync for many years now,” the man continues, “We have lost our trust in each other. Become independent universes, so to speak. You, young ones, must reunite us. Or we may face greater peril than simply dying out,” the withered old man’s voice become urgent, pleading us to listen with more than just our ears.
Silence. Complete, utter lack of any sound as everyone in the arena contemplate what this means.
“Who exactly are you?” someone asks, rather rudely.
I expect the man to reprimand them, or say something that may convince them to believe, but he simply says, “I am Emrys, the Star Seer of the Zodiac. I shall also be your mentor in the coming weeks,” and briskly exits the room.
Eudora~
I listen to the old hag's speech and I have to suppress a snort from escaping me.  'Dark times for the Zodiac, we must work together to keep the world from spiraling in the depths of peril.'  Deciding I had a little to chip in as well, I waltz into the circle, everyone's eyes suddenly on me.  This should be easy.  In the past years I was commonly known as a professor.  The minglings would obey anything I would say.
"Welcome, Zodiac," I say smoothly.  "As you all know, you have been chosen by the stars for a very important task.  Something no other could do."  I eye an averages height, green hair blondie.  I beckon her over.  "Areti, I presume?" I say, a warm smile plastered on my face.  "I'd like you to be my volunteer for me in a moment.
"As I said, you are all here, trusted, by everyone who lives among these stars.  But we cannot trust everyone here during these dark times.  An unspeakable, intolerable time is among us.  We could not trust everyone here, so we have a first task for you all."
With a snap of my fingers, small tables appear in front of every Zodiac in the circle.  Each consisted of a cold, black, coal bowl with a light emitting from it.  This is where the fun began.  "Now, Zodiac, these bowls consist of part of a spirit of every past Zodiac.  Spilling a small portion of blood here will say that you promise to do everything in your power to save your houses from any harm."  My voice held no cracks.  Not a single sweat was shed, and not once did I have the urge to shake.
"Now, Areti, I had asked you to volunteer for me.  I would wish for you to go first.  Dripping some of your life blood will make a pact with the rest of the Virgo, and for future guardians as well."  I hand her a ragged knife, twisted to an odd shape.
Lies, lies, lies.  Everything I told was lies.  And no one had a single doubt about it.
Mausumi~
A sharp series of tingles made their way up my body.  My eyes widened in horror.  Oh no, was there a new guardian ceremony?  I started kicking at the unbreakable glass panes.  The rest of the guardians all hear the sharp thuds and looked up me, their eyes narrowed.  We were all weak, and any sudden movements could drain us more.  I float to the top of the pod and say "There's a new guardian ceremony!  What should we do?"
An older girl from Pisces, Ivory, speaks.  "You know there's nothing we can do, Mau.  There's no point in worrying about it.  We just have to pray that they have smarter wits than the rest of us and they don't fly into these prisons like the rest of us."
She goes back to her regular state of mind and I hear few mutters of agreement.  With a huff, I crawl up in a ball and await what happens next.
(Sorry, a short one.  But I don't know what to write)
