The Writers Club!

The Writers Club!

So, this is like a writers workshop where we can discuss books we're writing, get help, critique, etc. We can post chapters, or bits and pieces of books. We can build our character, get a fuller plot line, or do some much needed workd building! We can help each other think up titles, or fillers. Okay, you get the idea. Let's start! Anyone who wants to can join, and you can come and go as you wish! Don't be afraid to ask for help!

Wow, that is hard. My only thought is having a subplot of like a time warp or something.

I thought of the ice/time freeze idea too. The only problem with that in my story is that Tanya needs to be active in this world for at least a year before Karen meets her. By then she would be 17 but she really needs to stay somewhere between 15 and 16.

Hmmmm... Tricky... Forgive me if I get too science fictiony, but maybe something with time travel or dimensional mishap? I don't know... That's a tough situation... Maybe the ice reversed the aging process or something to make her a year or two younger?  Far stretch, I know. I'll see if I can think of anything. Sorry this wasn't of much help!

The only thing I can think is that time runs differently in the fey world. That is literally the only thing I can see to do. I'm not very good at solving problems...as you can see. Hopefully this thread will help me with that.

I'm doing the suggestion on page 2 and I'm starting a story at 12:00 AM on New Year's Eve. But I need ideas, since I'm going to start an idea box.

Can someone give me charries and snippits of story ideas? I have some ideas, but it's too similar to a story on Storybird...

The story follows a series of eight teenage girls who are blasted by rainbow light in the park one day and their knocked unconcious. When they wake up, each has a different circular, celfic knot fashioned tattoo on their wrist. Ex. One is red, with the word Pyromancer in the middle, one is black with two swords and the word Necromancer, etc. They soon figure out they have powers that relate to the tattoos, aND must find ways to stay away from the evil organization Ondsaka, or something. XD

I really like the tattoo/powers thing, but don't know how to put it into play with out sounding like a copycat. I don't want to just do names or anything...I need help. This is a dilemma...

I'd also like four girl charries, using Embers in the Ashes sheet (posted below.). Thanks, guys! Reply soon!

HELP!! I have about a million, billion ideas/charries in my head. My problem? Words don't exactly 'flow' from my hand. I am thinking of writing a story involving a familiar place to me, an old mansion converted by the local colleges so people in the art history department have offices. There is a bathtub in the second floor bathroom. Plus, there is a graveyard behind it. Perfect place to write about.

So, I need help. Any tips?

I have this same problem sometimes. My main way of writing is to metaphorically "puke on the page." Just get all of your ideas down on paper (or wherever you're writing) then worry about the rest later. Another thing that helps me is reading or watching tv or stuff like that to get some form of ideas (as long as you're not plagiarizing of course.) For example, I've gotten a whole story idea (it took a while to develop it) from just a thirty second ringtone. Just look (and listen) around and ideas will come, hopefully! Hope this helped! Sorry if it didn't!
