Modern Witches RP (with a slightly different plot from my post on CaC)
Alright. So if you read my earlier post about this, I said there was going to be a single antagonist named Smog, whose sworn enemy was witches. I've changed the plot. Instead, the witches will be having a sort of turf war.
There have been two rival witch clans in Chicago for as long as anyone can remember, Kast and Uvete. The Kast are the ones that built the city- their power is linked to it, and they keep it alive. Their powers are more urban or science-y, I guess- they're the ones in charge of things like electricity, the water from Lake Michigan (which is really important for transportation), weather, etc.
The Uvete, on the other hand, are the flowers that pop up in the sidewalk, the music, the art, the culture. They bring the fun into Chicago, while the Kast have their hands full trying to keep it going.
And both clans think they don't need the other side.
So, the plot of this RP is that the clans are fighting over the area around the mouth of the Chicago river. The Kast want to make it into a major port and need it for transportation/shipping, etc. The Uvete want to make it into a sort-of art district, it's right by Navy Pier and they think that its location would be perfect for a center of culture. Also, Chicage kind of started out there, the first settler built his farm in that area and older lands give the witches more power. Our charries have to find away to get along and stop their clans from killing each other. (at the start of the RP, there's no real violence yet, just tensions) Here is the character sheet.

Gender: F
Clan: Kast
Power or Specialty: Hydrokinesis
Strengths: she's very quick-minded, and is always there to defend those few that are close to her should they be in danger.
Flaws: since she's afraid of others' judgement, she puts up a facade of being headstrong, rebellious and loud (even though she's more quiet and softhearted IRL), because she doesn't want to be seen as weak. She doesn't often get close to people, mostly just has acquaintances.
Appearance: longish wavy brown hair dyed blue at the ends, big green eyes, tall and lean

@Leafmist- yes, feel free to make another charrie!
@Cecilia- I believe we have an almost equal amount of Kasts and Uvetes. There are 8?? female charries and 4 male charries. You can choose whatever, though, anyone can join until the 7th or 8th of May.

Could there be someone from both clans? I can go with a demi-witch if that won't work out in the story.

Clan: Both? (Uvete if no)
Power: speed. The reason I was wondering about his clan was that this power seems a bit of both. A city needs speed/energy/progress to work, but culture has its own energy/speed too.
Strengths: clever, doesn't get upset easily, not hard to get along with, good at mediating arguments but never gets into them personally. Got a nice sense of humor
Flaws: doesn't work very well in a group because he's usually treated with contempt, doesn't commit to aything, prefers the background, when he gets mad (rarely) he refusees to do anything.
Appearance: light brown hair, dark blue eyes, some freckles, a bit tall
Other: makes friends easily if they're alright with his background, leaves them even easier.

That's a really cool idea, Cecelia! Your character could have a parent from each clan, and maybe eventually act as a mediator between the two... Yeah, that's totally OK!

Power/Specialty: Plants. She can make plants grow or shrink by whistling in different frequencies.
Strengths: Extremely loyal to friends, careful who she trusts.
Flaws: Sometimes too loyal, and impulsive.
Appearance: Long blond hair, green eyes, lots of freckles. Almost never wears blue because she likes the irony.
Other: Obsession with dragons, and she is a demi-witch.

Power or speciality: Medicine and healing
Strengths: Healing people, is very determined, good memory, smart.
Flaws: Stubborn, know-it-all, dramatic, impatient
Appearance: Long blonde hair kept in a tight bun, cool grey-blue eyes, wears formal clothes almost everywhere and almost always looks severe(which she is).
Other: Is a doctor despite her rather young age(for the profession), loves mythology and almost got a career in journalism rather than medicine.
