Every single day,

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Every single day,

Every single day, humans neglect the enviorment we live in.  We don't recycle, throw trash on the ground, and emit harmful gases from our cars and buildings.  We never seem to realize the health of the earth is slowly dwindiling, until...

Scientists have recorded an estimate of approximately how long life will be able to survive on Earth with our current emissions.  To our dismay, the resutls are not good.  To solve this problem, the whole world has come together.  They assemble a group of top scientists, astronomers, etc. for one purpose only-to find and go to a planet that can support human life.

After many days and nights of hard work and sacrifice, we've found our planet.  Yes, you heard me right!  I did say we, because you and I are a part of this team too.

************

From reading above, you can see that this is a space, high-adventure RP!  On the team (which doesn't have a name yet.  Any ideas would be appreciated, maybe Mission, and then something?) each person has a job that has to do with travelling to space.  Here are your job choices:

Scientists: Everyone basically knows what a scientist does...They know all sorts of space/gravity facts, and have already formulated some ideas on what aliens could look like.  Scientists are trying to create ways to transport items/people from our chosen planet, to Earth as fast as they can  They are inventing other inventions, and they take a lot of notes /pictures about the enviorment.

Astronomers: Astronomers know all about space.  You've been to the moon already, and you're are also good at calming people down who are nervous.  The one thing that stands out is experience...no one else has that, and of course it is very inportant to the success of the mission

Doctors: Well...someone needs to keep you healthy while your in space! And also, doctors know all about bacteria in space, and know how to take care of sickness/bites/etc

Communication Experts:  For talking with aliens, or other creatures.  Communication experts know many languages, and would try to comprehend an alien language by comparing them to previous languages.  Without this job, we wouldn't communicate/deeply know/share information with any species.

Engineers: They're basically builders, who think in creative and new ways.  They would most likely make buildings, new creative forms of energy.  They could even create food and drinks for our team to eat!  Engineers would also know how to fix the spaceship....just in case anything happens

And...even more!  If you have a job that you'd like to do, but isn't up there, just ask!  However, the job has to have something to do with new planets and space, and only up to 3 people can do a certain job.  You can create as many charries as you want.  I will say the start date as soon as people start joining.  If there's anything I'm forgetting, just ask. Here's the charrie sheet:

Name:

Age: (22-30)

Gender

Job You Picked:

Appearence:

Personality:

Background:

Open to Shipping?:

Other:

My Charrie:

Name: Alice Kyline

Age: 24

Gender: Woman

Job You Picked: Doctor

Appearence: Her very blond hair is in a short bob style.  A wisp of hair always seems to untuck itself from her ear, no matter how many times she neatens her hair.  She has pale skin, with blue eyes, and her hair is straight.  She's tall, and she wears a blue spacesuit, which is almost the same color as her eyes, and some sneakers.

Personality: She's very selfless, hardworking, and determined.  She's well aware of the consequences and dangers, but she's brave enough to want to do it anyway.  She's intelligent and kind.  She likes to think out things, before she starts to do any actions.  Is a valuable, contributing member of the team

Background: When she was younger, Alice and her two other siblings and parents often didn't have much money.  Alice worked hard in school, and at the job. Soon, she graduated from college, and went on to be a well-known doctor.  She  lives all alone in her little apartment.  She is sometimes lonely because of it.

Open to Shipping: Yes!!  I want her shipped!

Other: Nothing I can think of, at least right now.

I think this RP will be very fun!  Join!

I realize this has started, but could I make a character (Communications Expert)?

Luna~

I enter the space ship, and sit in my seat, the seat belt automatically strapping on. A space suit comes down and is about to fit on me, but I glare at it and kick it aside. Right now I have a Star Wars shirt on and comfy jeggings, with my favourite lab coat. Nothing is going to get in betweeen my comfort and my fandoms. Besides, today's my birthday, so I can wear what I want.

Suddenly another person comes on, and she sits down, following the same process we all went through, and when she gets her space suit, she looks down at it.

"A design of Tristan I'm assuming," she says.

I smirk. "I coded the ship for the takeoff of our planet, and yes, Tristan did engineer that."

The new person, who I believe is Alice, nods and speaks again. "Was I that late?"

"You were 0 years, 0 months, 0 days, 0 hours, 5 minutes, and 33 seconds late," Aera, her automatic voice replying.

I scoff and reply with a sarcastic tone, "Thank you Aera. You never fail to answer the question truthfully, and without detail." But wait. The truth, what if humans had that? Imagine if-

I realise I'm thinking out loud, and Joey shouts for us to shut up.

I'm still thinking, but he leaves, still nothing happens, and the ship starts counting down.

I raise an eyebrow, finally awaking back into the real world, and realise that every single person is banging on the windows and doors trying to get out.

I unbuckle my seat belt and jog quietly over to the coding panel, near Aera.

I breathe quickly and look inside the panel, and just as it hits 1, I manage to stop the ship so we have time to take control of it.

Everyone looks around, and Alice talks. "Now what?"

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "We find someone to steer the ship."

Just to clarify, your charrie is a scientist. so why would she be writing the flight code for the ship? And in her (I think?) post, Trelbe Clef had written Lena, which is my charrie, not Luna, who is your charrie. And Lena makes more sense, because she is a coder, and writing code is her job.

Oh, I thought that she meant Luna. I forgot there was a Lena.

Just ignore my dialogue with her, and maybe we figured out how to reset the ship together.

@Brookeira:

Yes!  Anyone can make a charrie, as long as they ask me first so I know about them.  Would you like to be on the ship, apart of the Planet Pioneers?

Is anyone else going to write anything?  I was waiting for other charries to write something, but if everyone finished I can write soon.  This is a RP, by the way.  Not a solo write.

I would have written by now, but I was a little confused on a couple points. Is Joey dead? Do we know what caused the malfunction yet? Can our charries get out of the ship, or are they stuck (Aera excepted, obviously she's stuck)? Isn't ground control freaking out at this point, trying to abort the mission and figure out what went wrong? If we used up fuel on a false start, would we have enough to hit escape velocity on a second try? How urgent is the time window for this mission (i.e. could it afford to wait a few months while the bureaucrats blow up about "oh my gosh this isn't safe aaahh", or is the time now)?

...Okay, so that's more than a couple...

But anyway, I need a little more information about what's going on. Then I'll definitely write. :)
