Welcome to GSD!

Welcome to GSD!

Welcome to GSD!

No catagory of classes are more important than the other, and you will all be doing the same general activities.

If you got mostly A's on your survey, read this letter (please).

Hey students!

Congratulations on getting into GSD, and welcome to Aim! This letter is proof that you have mad skills, a tolerance for weirdness, and (hopefully, because you're going to need it) an excessive amount of energy.

In Aim (the class led by yours truly), we ask the big questions, like; "Is fire a hazard or a tool?" "Are the cupcakes poisoned?" "Is it possible to split an arrow down the middle with a second arrow?" And "Who is more important, Snape or Buckbeak?"

For class, please remember to wear flexible (preferrably nonflammable) clothing, and bring a whole lot of enthusiasm.

Can't wait to meet you!

Winston (GSD head trainer of Aim, etc., etc., etc.,)

P.S. The cupcakes are most certainly poisoned.

If you received a majority of "B"s on your survey, please read this letter.

Dear student,

You have been accepted into the Griffinfeather School for the Determined. This letter alone is proof that you are strong, ambitious, and extremely bright. However, I accept nothing but the best from my students, and therefor expect all of you to keep up with our rigorous classes and extensive training.

When attending class, please remember to follow rules that will be set for your own safety. Inflammable attire is a wise choice. Also, please take precautions against electrical shock when working in the robotics lab.

You may have realized by now that you have very special talents that most people at your age do not even dream about practicing, let alone perfecting. Since you were accepted into "Build", that means that you are, to some degree, a strategist. You have the power to plan and create and take action. Even at your age, you can save, protect, and summon armies of creativity beyond your wildest dreams. It all starts in this school. You are the earth's future in more ways than you understand.

I look forward to seeing you in class.

Sincerely,

Sasha Night, Headmistriss of Griffinfeather School and leader of the "Build" training.

P.S. When attending class, please remember to follow rules that will be set for your own safety. Inflammable attire is a wise choice. Also, please take precautions against electrical shock when working in the robotics lab.

If you received mostly "C"s on your survey, please glance this way.

Hello students!

Congratulations on making it in to GSD, and more importantly, on being selected for the "Cabriole" training group. Here, we treat life as a dance; it escalates into tension, elongates into beauty, and falls back into patterns that are forever changing. You were chosen because you are a dreamer. You are a prodigious thinker and are full of art. You are more than welcome at this school and in these classes. The only rules are; no fudgeling, no smickering, and no coprolalia.

I await your arrival with eager anticipation.

Sincerely,

Miss Brunn, librarian and head of "Cabriole" training agglomeration.

Vera~

What am I doing? I try to reassure myself that no one here knows me, and that they'll think I'm part of their group no matter what. I take a deep breath.

"What about we take Narnia first?" A boy (side charrie) with dark brown hair and blue eyes suggests.

"No, we shouldn't." I say too quickly. All eyes turn to me.

"Why not?" A girl asks skeptically.

"Um, because, that's too easy for Aim. Everyone will want to go there first. Let's start with desert."

"I guess so. After all, does it really matter what we start with as long as we win?" The boy says.

"Of course not. We're gonna win! Go Aim!" Somone shouts.

Sure...I think to myself. You just keep on believing that lie.

As Aim moves toward desert, I wonder how Kyra is doing in build.

_______

I hope I didn't control Aim too much!

I'm so sorry for not posting! We got back from Florida yesterday but zoomed off to orientation today.  I'm going to post soon, whenever I get access to a computer.

So, here's a little plot summary of the present adventure.

Cabriole is in the Snow Elemental site, located in the basement of the Build and Cabriole building, and accessed through the library.

Build (+ a couple Cabriole students) got their first token in the maze on top of the Build/Cabriole building

Aim (+ a couple Cabriole students) are in the Sand Elemental Site, located in the basement of the Aim building.

Forest and Fire sites are still unexplored. Remember, this game is dangerous, but for the reason to really bring out powers. Crazy situations are expected. The Elemental Sites were designed by Adrian. Expect the unexpected. Anything is possible. Just...try not to kill or maim each other if you want cupcakes. The teachers will also TRY not to kill you, because they want cupcakes. Unless Adrian poisoned them.

I'm really enjoying reading everyone's posts! Love the writing styles!!

Sasha~

The game preforms just as Adrian designed it. From the master controls on the computers in my office, I have video feeds from all the sectors, except for the maze, which pops up on my computer screen as a map with little dots on it representing the students. Everywhere, I see the students exploring their powers and learning how to work together. Build learns about leadership as Jela successfully guides them through the maze and to their first token. Aim learns about teamwork as everyone fights over which direction to head into the basement desert. Cabriole learns not to be shy about their talents, as the team is stumped by the hidden entrance to the Snow Elemental Site until unsocial Drew finally steps up. Everything is going perfectly...

until it all comes crashing down.

"Sasha! Something is...immensely erroneous...videos out...controls...are you?...Sasha! The students!" Lizzy's voice fades into static. What could she possibly....? My heart begins to pound as I hurriedly click on the Snow Elemental Site's square of video feed with shaking fingers. All I can see is a wall of white, and the only sound is a long, drowning, roar. From my headpiece, Lizzy's frantic voice fights for control over the static. It takes me a second to realize she is no longer speaking in English.

"Adrian!" I scream into the mic as soon as Lizzy's voice fades again, "are you hearing this? Why is it malfunctioning? You garunteed safety. Fix it!"

"Can't hear you...hacked into system...controls going ballistic...working on it...danger..." And then even Adrian's forcefully calm voice is submerged in static. Suddenly, a flash from the computer screen catches my attention. One by one, the videos blink out. Warning messages flash across the screen before it blinks out into black.

A wave of panic surges over me. The computer and desk blurr before my eyes and my chest tightens until I can hardly breathe. Horrible images fill my head. Adrian's genious had harnessed nature with electronics. But if the system broke and the full force of nature was unleashed...

"Adrian? Lizzy? Winston? Anyone there? Can anyone hear me?" Static. I betrayed the students. I hurt them like HE had. What if someone died? All it takes was one electric shock traveling trough the malfunctioning controls of a system...no. No.

I can't breathe. I feel as if I'm ripping apart from the inside out. Betrayed...betrayed...hurt...wrong...all wrong... And then my eyesight sharpens. I feel an all-too-familiar strain behind my eyes that lasts only a milisecond, and suddenly, my brain automatically begins to analyze the computer. I can picture it's back and sides, judge how large the screen is, like an 3D blueprint just popped up in my head.

And then the feeling is gone, leaving me with a slight headache. I collapse onto my desk; head in my hands. Time stops. The world is suspended around me.

Winston's voice brings me back to reality as it emerges from the fading static.

"Well...that was weird."

It certainly was. I hadn't had a panic attack like that in years. And I certainly had not been able to access my power in the same ammount of time.

~

So I was thinking an old enemy hacked into the computer system, maybe stealing the videos of the students using their powers and causing the controls to malfunction as a distraction. Y'all can post your own interpretations of what happens. Basically, I guess the weather systems go ballistic.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in forever; I'm still getting used to this whole "We're starting school again" thing XD

Jela~

As Jela's team turned the last corner and entered the center of the maze, Jela allowed herself a small smile of triumph. They had done it. She had done it. And for once in her life, the thing that made her different and strange made her special and needed.

Zan's voice snapped her back into focus. "Are we here yet?" Jela nodded. Then, realizing that of course, they couldn't see that because it was pitch black, she whispered "Yes" into the darkness. That one sound echoed around the room, bouncing off the objects that filled it and giving her a detailed picture of everything inside. The center of the maze was round and smooth, and a stone pedestal sat in the center. Smiling she strode forwards, and was about to wrap her fingers around the stone when a faint rumbling sound stopped her in her traps. She honed in on it, not realizing what it was until she heard the tiniest of sounds...... something scraping softly against the ground.

The walls were closing in.

Jela gave out a soft cry of disbelief before yelling at the other two to run. She closed her fingers around a hard, round object, shoved it in her pocket, and ran after them. She heard Caden's voice echoing off the walls several yards away. "Which way?" Jela focused for a minute, trying to create a picture of the entire maze in her head before yelling "Left!" She continued to yell out instructions from behind, trying as hard as her tired feet would allow to catch up to the other two, but their voices slowly seemed to fade away..... she knew it wasn't their fault. Waiting for her would mean that they all got killed, and it wouldn't do her any good.

The hallways began to get smaller, and Jela felt her heart stutter in her chest. She had always been incredibly claustrophobic, hating the way that any little sound bounced off the walls, making her feel trapped. This was like a nightmare come true. There was nothing she could do but run. She only hoped the others made it out of this crazy place.

And then, the footsteps ahead of her stopped, and two words rang out through the maze that filled her with dread.

"It's locked."

Her heart seemed to stop in her chest. They were doomed. She slowed to a stop just as she reached the entrance, and the sounds echoing off the walls showed her that the entrance was just a bit bigger than the rest of the maze. Well, at least we'll have a few extra seconds to be terrified before we're killed. How nice.

Caden pounded his fist on the door in frustration, and Jela sunk into a heap on the floor. The ceiling had begun to close in on the door's lock, and soon their only hope of freedom would be gone. Caden took a deep breath as if to calm himself before saying, "I can make a key. I need something about the size of a baseball." Without hesitation, Jela reached into her pocket and pulled out the token. "We can use this. Also, how-" Caden didn't let her finish, instead choosing to grab the token and his hands and do something- Jela wasn't sure what - to it. Then, the walls were all Jela could pay attention to. They were mere inches away from Jela's feet. Jela's head began to swim, and she had the vague thought that they were probably running out of oxygen in here.

Then, Caden let out a cry and the door swung open into the blinding sun.

Sorry if that was rushed and rather lackluster, but I've been working on it over a day or two and have somewhere to be right now so yeah. Live, rp! Live!

Winston~

"Well that was weird."

"That was NOT weird, Winston. That was deliberate. Someone stole those videos. If I can just trace the signal for whatever was blocking our—"

"NO MORE TRACKING FOR ELECTROGEEK. We've got to get the students out of the sectors! They're trapped!" I yell one last time into the headset before throwing it off and jumping to the door of the little control room. I yank on the handle, but it's stuck. Pulling hard, I brace both feet against the doorframe (dumb idea), and jerk the handle as hard as possible. The door swings open suddenly, knocking me off my feet and sending a pile of sand pouring onto the floor. This wasn't supposed to happen. Adrian promised these sectors were protected! Dashboards. I struggle over the sand dune, tripping several times until I can see the entirety of the basement. The once beautiful, huge sandbox had been turned into a drastically uneven desert. All the beautiful sandcastles, complete with battlements, towers, and a miniture portculis, were leveled. Or rather, unleveled. White-hot light glints off the bright sand, and it takes me a minute to spot the Aim students (plus one Cabriole girl), popping up from behind a sand dune, looking very, very sandy. One of the girls, Carly or Carrie or something like that, holds up her fist triumphantly. Gold glints from behind her fingers.

The token.

"Well," I say, grinning, "that was NOT supposed to happen, but hey, who doesn't love an unplanned, highly dangerous pop quiz now and then?"

Can I still make a charrie? And if so, is there a specific role they should fill?

submitted by Kitten
(August 19, 2017 - 8:39 pm)

Of course! We need more staff members. Silverwaxwing has made Sasha's assistant, so that posititon is filled. As a teacher/staff member, your character could teach or work on practically anything, and if you are a student intern (college age), then you could be an assistant to already established teachers. If you are a student, you need to take the survey on the "GSD Superschool RPG" thread.

HERETH ARETH THE THREADETHS IF ANYONE IS CONFUSEDETH:

1. First, check the premise and survey on "GSD superschool RPG" thread.

2. Second, come to THIS thread for the action

3. Third, supplement the action with the text messages on the text thread. Sorry for the different threads, but this is not just a RP. I'm trying to start something new, that's part RP, part SAS, and part game.

4. ENJOY! You can join whenever, as long as you keep within the general guidlines and don't zoom off with a totally different story.

Also: the reason why the teachers are so young. A lot of "Heroes" are really, really smart, so they finish their education early and look for something to do. This school is that "something to do."

Okay, I'm thinking about making a teacher named Myra. I'll fill out the survey for her. How should I introduce her to the story?

I did the survey and she turned out to be Build.

That's great! She can be anyone! If she likes technology, maybe she helps Adrian or something? Anyway, perhaps you can be behind the scenes preparing for a later activity tonight when you get a message or hear commotion that something has gone wrong.

I'm not really sure where I should come in, but I'll try xD

~Treena Letka

I walk down the hall as directed (by who, I know not) to Sasha Night's office. I come to the door and pause, not at all sure what to do, then I knock. I hear movement inside and a voice coming over a speaker.

"Well that was weird." The voice says.

What was weird? I wonder. Is that what all the noise was about? What is going on at this school? And more importantly...what have I gotten myself into?

Suddenly the door opens.

~~

Sorry so short! I have zero clue what to do and I'm a little confused... Hope this wasn't too confusing. xD
