Small-Town Magic RP

Lewisville, the smallest town in Massachusetts. 2017. This is a town where everyone knows everyone else. But it's also a town with a secret that only a select few people know: the mysterious island off the coast contains more magic than there is in the rest of America- possibly the whole earth.
You are a kid in Lewisville, learning to sail. You are dared to sail out to the island...and what you find there turns your world upside down.

Okay. We all knew that I would eventually need to make an RP about sailing. So, I made this RP to get ideas for my NaNo novel.

Appearance: Mid height. Has thin, straight, shoulder length white-blond hair and brown eyes. Wears fashionable clothes and usually makeup.
Personality: A bit stuck up and, forgive me for saying, 'girly', but, since moving to Massachusetts, has started to change and become more kind and understanding.
Crushes/Ships: Ethan (IRITHAN)
Strengths: Good at getting people to do what she wants them to, a leader.
Weaknesses: Insecure, bossy, cares far too much about beauty.
Secrets: Wants to be popular here, like she was in Arizona.
Backstory: Lived in Phoenix, Arizona her whole life. Just moved to Lewisville a few days ago and is not at all happy about it.

Personality: Intelligent, friendly, stubborn. Usually quiet, but can be loud and talkative when you get to know her. A bit of a dorky social outcast, but feels right at home on the sailing team.
Crushes/Ships: None
Strengths: Kind, loyal, intelligent, athletic.
Weaknesses: Stubborn, quick to anger and holds grudges.
Secrets: Her dad left her family when she was eight, and she hasn't heard from him since.
Backstory: Grew up in Lewisville and has only left New England- on vacation, even- once.

Appearance: Medium height, with straight brown hair and brown eyes with gold rings around the pupils. Has a face that a lot of girls think is handsome.
Personality: Quiet, sweet, generous, innocent. Doesn't stand up for himself and often lets others walk all over him.
Crushes/Ships: Iris, although he would never admit it. (IRITHAN)
Strengths: Kind, courageous, generous, responsible.
Weaknesses: Too quiet, doesn't stand up for himself, not very perseverant.

RULES:
1: Only one charrie per person, please, unless you are meeting the requirements of Rule 2. The only reason I have three is because they are the protagonists of my novel.
2: I need one or two charries to be snooty, stuck up popular girls with no sail number. If you make one of these, you may also make another charrie.
3: No magical powers or over dramatic diseases, etc., please. They should be fairly normal people -- just the island is magic.
4: Please, please, PLEASE try not to make Mary Sue or Gary Sue charries.
5: We will start RPing promptly on August 5th. An unlimited number of people can join until then, but that is the deadline.
6: You must give consent for me to use your charrie as a background charrie in my novel. Until you specify Yes or No, I won't allow you to RP. If you reply No, you can RP, but will not be used in the novel. If you reply Yes, I'll give you full credit for the character in the novel.

What in the world is a sail number?
Name: Logan Miraz

Appearance: Light brown hair with a streak of turquoise in the front, intensely blue eyes, bronze colored skin from being out in the sun all day.
Personality: Friendly, nice to about everyone but his little brother, quick to try new things, especially foods, but a bit secretive about his social life at home (mostly because he barely has one).
Crushes: Sophia
Strengths: Sailing. He's been sailing with his grandfather since he was five.
Weaknesses: Making friends. He doesn't really know how to socialize with other human beings.
Secrets: He's absolutely terrified of sharks.

Okay. I said we'd start RPing on August 5th, and it's already the 6th, so I better go ahead and start!
Iris~
I stare out the car window into the pouring rain, one word and one alone in my mind. Seriously? I can't believe that they're going to make us sail in this. That's completely ridiculous. Why am I even sailing at all? My one boating experience so far did NOT end well, and-
We arrive at the sailing center with a bump, jolting me out of my thoughts. I see a few kids already putting their sails together, and more coming in other cars. I jump out of the car, and grab the bag with my sail in it. My boat is already here, because we bought it from the sailing center last week. I walk over to it, set my bags down, pull the sail out of one of them, and try to figure out how to put it together. First I try to somehow attach it to the skinny pole, but it doesn't work. Next I try the short pole and the long pole in turn, but neither work. I slump backwards. Gosh, this is stupid.
"Need help?"
I jump about a foot in the air, then see a boy crouching next to me.
"Uh.. yes..." I answer in an embarrassed tone
"Are you the new girl? Iris? I'm Ethan Bannister." He held out his hand, and I shook it.
"Enough with the introductions. What am I supposed to do?"
He took a close look at my sail, then started laughing.
"What's so funny?"
"You need sail ties." He's back in an instant with 17 short pieces of really thin rope and one long one. He slowly shows me how to tie each one, and half an hour later, my sail is up. Just as Ethan and I are putting the finishing touches on, a coach blows a whistle from inside.
"Briefing!" he shouts.
10 kids file into the building.
"Hello. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Alex, and he's Luke. The other coach is Luna, wherever she is. Introduce yourself when I point to you."
Coach Alex points to the first girl. "I'm Ocean Kelly." she says.
"Assan Burke."
"Kaila Fenbourough."
"Sophia Chavez."
"Logan Miraz."
"Hugo Roux."
"Zora Yasmin Myers."
"Ethan Bannister."
"Lilah Kreuzkamp," says the girl sitting next to me.
"I'm Iris. Iris Mircah." I say.
Coach Alex takes the floor again. "Today we'll split into groups by experience. One group with each coach. My group is Lilah, Ethan, and Logan. Luke's group is Ocean, Kaila, Sophia, and Zora. Luna's group is Assan, Hugo, and Iris. Any questions?
Nobody has any questions.
"Well then! Get to your boats."
Everyone scrambles out of the classroom. I feel a tap on my shoulder, and turn around to see that girl Lilah, who had been sitting next to me inside.
"Hey!" she says.
"Hi."
"So, you're new here?"
"Yeah."
She checked her watch. "Oh! It's 930 already. Time to launch! I'll talk to you at lunch."
I go over to my boat, and look in triumph at the sail upright in the correct place. The boat is tied onto the pier, and I untie it. I step into the boat, and I am off!

Personality: She is trying to find out who she really is. She is interstered in starting a protest against the school dresscode and is tomboy-ish.

Weakness: Really awkard and uncool when she meets knew people. When I say uncool I mean like she dosn't feel cool. She is anxouis. Shy about doing leader like stuff.
