Medieval Manor RPG!!

So, I adore realistic fiction, and I have been feeling the need for a lovely, medieval, realistic fiction roleplay. What do ya'll think?

Okay, the story is set on eighty acres of beautiful meadows and woods. Near the front of this property, behind a driveway lined with poplar trees, sits a sprawling stone mansion. It is at least three stories high, and bedecked with curving windows and peaked gables. The name of the red-roof tiled country home is Iriandor. The family who owns it, the Newcombes, have many servants: maids, cooks, governesses, workers, coachmen, stablemen, gardeners, and village subjects over which they excersise authority.

On a rather overcast and chill Thursday, the housemaids, gardeners, and stablemen learn of an insidious plot to drive the houselords out of Iriandor and take it over. The rather grumpy and malicious Lord Caine will stop at almost nothing to retrieve Iriandor for himself. Of course, if he suceeds, it will mean the loss of jobs for many people and their families, and the beautiful manor itself. So, the servants and villagers decide to step in to save their beloved Iriandor.

Ya'll can create any characters as you see fit, as long as they sort of fit in the categories of:    The Newcombes, a servant of some type, or a villager.

I'm okay with two characters, but do try to add variety. Don't make two villagers or two Newcombes. If tons of people make servants of villagers or something, maybe make something else, unless you have a charrie you absolutely cannot part with.

Character sheet:

Name:

Age:

Appearance:

Social status (what type of villager, servant, or Newcombe):

Personality:

Favorite color:

Personal reason why he/she wants to save Iriandor:

Backstory (if you have one):

My characters:

Name: Jason Newcombe

Age: 13

Appearance: Half-curly pale brown hair, lots of freckles, and dark brown eyes. He is kind of short for thirteen and a boy, and he knows it. He has rather pale skin, and is relatively agile, but maybe not fit, just flexible.

Social status (what type of villager, servant, or Newcombe): He is the owners' son

Personality: He is not school-smart, more putting-things-together-like-a-puzzle smart. He would be really good at one of our modern-day escape room riddles. He is extremely mishchievious, and will only want to do something wrong if you tell him not to. Jason hates mannerly things, and despises socially acceptableness. He doesn't really like new stuff, or change very much.

Favorite color: dark blue

Personal reason why he/she wants to save Iriandor: Well, it is his house, but he has really good memories of keeping frogs in one of the basement rooms, and he likes the windows because they are really good for climbing out of. He also has some emotional reasons. See backstory.

Backstory (if you have one): When he was eight, he managed to escape from a house fire with his family. They were all fine, but their dog was trapped inside, and didn't make it out. Jason was best friends with that dog. He doesn't like the thought of losing his house again. He likes to be familiar with one place and stay there.

Other character:

Name: Adelaide, daughter of Eric

Age: 15, but she acts younger :P

Appearance: Long strawberry-blond hair, and blue eyes. She is a little over average height, and is very slender. Adeleide has a pale pink scar on her cheek from an accident when she was little.

Social status (what type of villager, servant, or Newcombe): She is the gardener's daughter

Personality: Quiet, but inside, she is bursting with life and color. It's just hard for her to interact with other people. She like to be in the woods, alone, usually next to running water. If you happen to catch her when she thinks she is alone, you might see her dancing, or singing, or both. However, she is very socially awkward.

Favorite color: red, or pink

Personal reason why he/she wants to save Iriandor: Adelaide adores the property, and the gardens that are on it. She also likes the brook. She really doesn't know much about the family, or the story of why Iriandor needs saving. She just wants to rescue the woods.

Backstory (if you have one): She has lived with her dad all her life in a tiny cottage just outside the forest surrounding Iriandor. When she was three, she slipped and fell on a sharp cutting tool, which is where she got her scar.

If you haven't noticed yet, the twins are kind of a hanful!

Carmine~

I leave my sister's room in disgust. And she wonders why people think I'm older. Stopping by my bedroom, I gleefully put away my history and arithmatic books and snatch my flute from its shelf on the wall. Then I creep slowly to the end of the hall to the servant's staircase, where I am free to run down the stairs and out the servants entrance as fast as I can with no one to stop me. In the kitchen, our cook, Alma starts as I burst through her dominion. She holds up a dripping wooden spatchula, shaking it at me.

"One of these days boy, I swear I will—" Grinning, I lift my flute and cut her off with a few dancing notes. Alma's threats disolve into laughter as I skip out the back door, still playing one of the tunes my father taught me.

My father loved music. He was the only Newcombe that truly delighted in its art.

Opening the gate, I dash into the streets, where a cluster of clucking chickens scatter in a flutter of wings when they hear me coming.

Today, my mood is music and I do not care what people think of me.

Tomorrow, I may be a turtle again, poking grumpily out of my shell. Unlike my sister, I am a few notes blown by the wind; always changing.
