-Hunger Games-

Okay, how many of you have read the Hunger Games? If so, raise your virtual hand! Have you ever thought about how fun a virtual Hunger Games (preferably with less killing and dying, and less bloodying and maiming, etc.) would be?

Welp, I'm making one! 24 contestants max, and two people per district. Moi is the gamemaker.

If you'd like to volunteer, fill out the sheet below.

Name:

District:

Preferred Weapon:

Special skill (Choose one, and it has to be related to your district. If you were in District 6, your special skill might be making sleds, because they're transportation, or something like that.):

Age:

Other:

Note, districts are first come first serve. If you're in a more popular district, say a career, you'll have more money in your sponsorship.

Once at least six to twelve people have signed up, I shalt start my gamemaking! The format will be as follows:

_Wasabi_ -

You meet an invisible barrier. What do you do?

Player -

I lick it.

_Wasabi_ -

It tastes spicy

And so on!

So yeah, have fun, and donut maim/murder each other!

I'm reserving district 12 duh. I'll go by Katniss. My specialty is obviously the bow and arrow. I hunt to feed my family.

Eos-

When I open my pack, I see a dagger. Thank God. Then I see two pomigranites (pretty sure I spelled that wrong.) A bottle of water and a sleeping bag. Great! Then I saw a strange milky white substance. Just to play it safe, I pour some of it on the ground, expecting it to wither and die. Instead it grows a bit. That's surprising. It must be a healing potion. I'll save that.

I reflect on the reaping. I'm standing in the 14 year old section, and when I'm called, my twin sister Clio starts sobbing. She was sure I'd die, like my little brother Helios. He was just 12 in his Games. I start to silently cry, thinking about Helios. Then some kid from the Seam was called. I'm pretty sure that kid died in the bloodbath, but I can't be sure. I drink a bit of my water and cuddle up in my sleeping bag, but I can't drift off. I decide to hunt. I sit still in my hideout. A squirrel comes my way. Two minutes later, I have a dead squirrel. I can't start a fire, that would be dumb. I decide to try to find some coals. When I can't, I look for something hot. Score! I see a few coals, just roasting. I skin and set the squirrel on the coals. I hear someone say "Don't move." They fire an arrow, but I duck, grab the squirrel meat, and run. But the tribute says, "Wait. Who are you?" I stop. "I'm Eos. Don't kill me yet. Who are you?"

The person can be anyone, I really don't care who.

Inside my pack is just what i was hoping for. a bow and arrow! also, there is a hammer, helpful, but not for me. none the less, i put it in back in  the bag in case i can figure out some way to use it. Oh! a sleeping bag! just what i need. I look inside one more time. There is some jerky, bleh, and water! yay! im exhausted from my run, so i sip just a tiny bit of water. now, what next?

Im high up in the open, so i creep onto the ground, careful to make sure no one hears. I get my hammer out of my pack and start hammering the ground. it takes hours, but using my hammer, and digging, i dig a sorta deep tunnel that leads to a burrow. I set by sleeping back up, but quikly sling my backpack on my arm, with my bow and arrows on the other. I creep out of the tunnel, and put a big leaf on the entrance. i cover the leaf with soil, so no one will see. time to find some food! I walk  around the area, looking for food. i see just what i was looking for. a mango. or at least, i think it is a mango. anyway, i take it back to my tunnel, only to find that i dont know where it is, this is the same clearing i left it in, but i dont see the entrance, since i covered it up. On all fours, i feel around with my hands, feeling for a weak peice of ground.

My hand finds the leaf, but i fall through the leaf and land on my hand. it hurts, but heals quickly. i block the entrance back up with dirt, then hurry down into my den. My sleeping bag is there, untouched. I sit down and take a bite of the mango. the juice runs down my chin. tastes a little different then a mango, but its food. soon i finish the mango and lay in my sleeping bag and drift off to sleep.

I wake up in the middle of the night, by stomach hurting. I cant move. i lie very still and try to wait for the pain to ease. it never does. after about an hour, i regain the strength to get up. slowely, i get on all fours and pick up my sleeping bag. there isnt a rock or anything on the ground that caused my pain, so i set the sleeping back back down. I think back to remember if i ate anything that caused this, but i cant think of anything, my memory is fuzzy. I see a soft image of a mango-like fruit as i close my eyes and collapse onto the floor.

By the way, the mango fruit caused her to be sick, if you didnt know, and shes not dead or anyting, not even close, just really sick.

Atropa~

I open my bags calmly and quietly. Two polearms, just as I had expected, and some other stuff. I look at the tiny entrance to my cave. Covered perfectly by bushes, nobody is coming in without me knowing, and nobody has that good vision to know that there's an opening. I slip on the winged sandals. I don't know what they're meant to do, but I poke them some and find that the wings move, as if they would steer. I stand up and try to take a step. Immediately, air jets propel my upwards, and I almost hit my head on the cave ceiling. After a while, I've mastered the sandals. Truly a marvel of the Capital. I turn them off with a click of the heels and open the other bag. In it is just what I need, arm shields and a backplate. I secure the backplate to my back, smiling. I'll be safe from the back, now. Slipping on the arm-shields, I wonder at the perfect fit. It's almost like they were made for me. Is this the Capital rooting for me? A faint chime. I peek out, just as a parachute collapses next to the bushes. I grab it, adjusting the bushes again, and fiddle with the 'present'.

Everly-

The olive trees aren't very tall, but they still provide shelter. I stay closer to the back of the wood, somewhat near the mountain. I find a tree with thicker leaves that will hide me well and climb it. I search my pack. First, I find a knife. I can barely keep from shouting- a knife, my key to surviving! I can get wood, scrape down to the inner, edible bark, all sorts of things. Maybe even make a spear, or slingshot. It'd be handy to have one if I ran into a career.

Next, I find jerky. Hey, food is food, and there's not too much around here. A filled water bottle! I'll have to drink wisely before I can find a water source, though.

Iron-tipped combat boots. Not much I myself can do with them. At least a career doesn't have them. And a sleeping bag, which will come in handy if the temperatures drop. I make myself comfortable- I'll be staying here the night. I gather several olives. They taste so bitter I almsot spit them out, but I need to eat. I make a mental list of things I need to do tomorrw; 1. look for water. 2. gather food. 3. maybe make a spear with my knife and the wood. Maybe.

Events!

Okay, Lusterdust, you suddenly meet face-to-face with Stardust. What do you do?

Secret, in the ruins, you find two holes, the size of yourself. A black geyser spouts out of one, suddenly. Then, a red geyser spouts out of the other. What do you do?

Soren Infinity, you trek to the top of the mountain. A loose rock skitters down, and you realize that the mountain has a deep hole in it. Red magma is bubbling up inside. The clouds are very fluffy.

Rogue Wildling, you find a tree with plentiful olives. They are not poisonous.

Okay, that's it for today! Please remember, you're limited to necessary actions, like eating, sleeping, running, licking, etc. You don't control the terrain, I do :)

I turn around and go quickly but carefully down the mountain- I want to be part of neither an earthquake nor a volcanic eruption. I get away from the mountain and focus on finding a water source.

Okie! So a few comments... the girl I describe is Kinni, Stardust’s charrie, if that’s okay. Also, I don’t really like how this turned out but.... Welp, here goes!

Kary-

As much as I want to stay in my hole and hide, I know that it’s not going to happen. A single strip of jerky that I found in my backpack is most definitely not enough to live off of, and the full water bottle won’t last more than a day. I spread out the gold sleeping bag on the hard dirt ground, blinking in the sunlight as I peer out the window. My sleep last night was hard, but eventually I got a few hours, even though I couldn’t take my mind off of the images of the dead tributes that flashed into the sky. Securing the shiny golden shield onto my back and the matching shimmery knife into my belt, I crawl out of the burrow and cover the entrance back up carefully. I spin around and take a good look at the landscape. Olive trees and mountains surround me, with scattered caves and a thin muddy stream. Quickly, I scamper up a tall tree and glance around. I take note of all the important things in my view and then slide down, suddenly feeling happy. I haven’t come face-to-face with anyone yet, and although I might be jinxing myself by saying this, I think I might have a chance of riding the train back home instead of getting sent there in a box. I turn the corner, stumbling on a rock as I daydream about my family. The rock clatters down a cliff, muting the noise of a girl approaching. Her strawberry-blond hair swishes behind her as she holds up a slick silver knife. I remove my own knife and raise my eyebrows challengingly as I glance at her face. She has perfect blue eyes and high cheekbones with a few freckles scattered here and there. I stare at her for a few minutes, my heart beating faster and my stomach bouncing around. I feel a bright red blush filling my cheeks as butterflies flap around in my stomach. For some reason, the feeling I have right now isn’t exactly nervousness, although a flutter of fear does zing through my head as the girl approaches.

Eos-

I retreat back to the ruins. I see two geysers. Geysers, my father had taught me, were filled with hot water. I decide to avoid it. I go back to my hideout and wait for nightfall. My stomach rumbles and my throat screams for water. I drink some, then munch on a piece of pomegranet (I can't spell). I need to look for a water source. I silently run for the hills, hoping there's something there. Yes! I see a spring, and my throat starts begging. My water bottle is near empty. I fill it to the rim with the water. I gulp it down and get some more. I look for a place to sleep and see some bushes. I get my sleeping bag a curl up, drifting into unexplainable dreams.

@Marigold You now encounter the geysers, since Secret shyed away from them. One spouts black water, and another spouts red water.

I open my eyes. My stomach still hurts, but i can get up and sorta move around. I leave my sleeping bag, but put on my backpack. I crawl out of the tunnel, and put another leaf, and some dirt, over the entrance. It might be hard to find the entrance like it was last time, but If I cant find the entrance, no one can. Now, I need some new weapons.

A few minutes later, I've found a big, hard tree. i hit it with hammer a few times to make sure it isn't weak. The hammer makes a loud noise, but i know that no one is in this area by a few miles. I use the back of the hammer to peel some of the bark off. I tuck it in my back, knowing this kind of bark could be used to make a fire, if i do need one. I continue scraping the tree untill i get about ten or so big, thick strips of wood. I hurry back to the entrance, feel around on the ground for it, without breaking the leaf this time, and close the entrance up with dirt, leaving a hole so i can breathe.

I set my pack down and sit on my sleeping back with the strips of wood. I use the back of the hammer to make five extra arrows, and five spears. I set those aside and decide to expand my den. I use the hammer to hit the back wall, slowly expanding it. once it is a decent size bigger, I put my back pack and sleeping bag into the tunnel, so i can see them but they dont get in the way, and start hitting the floor, expanding it downward, so i can possibly stand straight up. Once i can stand, i use some extra dirt to fill in a space near the tunnel so it isnt just a dropoff into the den.

I set my back pack and sleeping bag in their normal places, then examine my expanded hideout. I notice something in the corner. It looks like i hit rock. I knock at the rock with my hand. it isnt hollow, so i know it doesnt lead to a cave or anything. It seems sort of soft, i think i can use my hammer to make rock spear points. I smile at my discovery.

Im exhausted, so i go to get a tiny bit of water, but my bottle is almost empty. I don't have any memory of drinking this much water. I  probably did last night, when i was sick, and then forgot about it when i fell asleep. I don't want to go out of my den, it is getting dark. The something glimmers in the other half of the cave. I walk over to it, and realize what it is, lying in the dirt, is a puddle of water. I dig with my hands. digging leads to water. I dont know how to clean it, so i leave it. I decide to go ahead and go to sleep, since it is dark. as i close my eyes, tired and thirsty, i wish for one thing. A way to pure the water.

Wasabi, could I have a prompt for Argent? I don't want to start writing and mess anything up. He chose the number 3 receptacle, by the way.
