Anyone wanna do

Anyone wanna do a round robin?

"Um, sure?" Indigo Feather responded uncertainly. Her voice echoed unevenly through the void, now quieter, now louder, now quieter again, as if the words were trapped. They continued echoing in the blackness as Indigo stood listening intently, a faint glow about her fingertips.

"Uh, yeah?" Agent Winter exclaimed. Her cape (wait, where did she get a cape?) billowed out behind her as she twirled through the void to land behind Indigo Feather. She shook out the wrinkles in her cape, and something fell out. She picked it up.

"Ooh! A cookie!" She hurled it into the void.

Catch the Cookie, anyone?

"Ouch!" Luminescence yelled. A cookie had just hit her in the nose and cracked clean in half. Something white fell to the ground, fluttering like a butterfly. It was... a piece of paper? She picked it up and unfolded it. Anyone wanna do a Round Robin? Signed, Velvet Serpent, Indigo Feather, and Agent Winter.

"What's a Round Robin?" Luminescence mused. "Hm. Sounds interesting! I'm in." Immediately, the ground beneath her opened up, and she fell, landing in the void. She opened her eyes to see two faces staring up at her. "Indigo Feather? Agent Winter?" she asked. "Yep!" they said.

"Umm... how does this even work?" she wondered.

Arithmancy padded up behind the others. "A Round Robin is where one person writes part of a story, and then another person writes another part of the story, and so on and so forth." Then she wondered whether padding was possible in a void.

Meanwhile, the cookie, being very put out about getting tossed and then broken on someone's nose decided to go on vacation. Catch the Cookie? It thought to itself, Let them try! As the cookie was piecing itself together, out of the blue (for indeed, the void was now blue) a few rogue pies face planted a couple of yards away.

--[}----[}------[}

Now, more than ever, the cookie knew it ought to get as far away from wherever this was as cookie-ly possible. It promptly vanished.

The stars seemed to rush down to her.  Around and around her, silently but with power.  She would have been afraid except she knew the stars would not harm her.  The stars disappeared, leaving only blackness.  A void.

Her cloak rippled.  She spoke, her voice calm and eloquent, “Am I alone?”

"Am I alone?" a voice broke through the darkness. The void had turned blue. The cookie had disappeared. And now the stars had disappeared, and "Peregrine? Is that you?" Luminescence asked, her glowing blue cloak no longer emitting any light to speak of.

She heard a rustle of fabric, and the sound of something whip through the air. "Gotcha!" shouted another voice from the left, one Luminescence thought she recognized as Arithmancy's. "What did you get?" Agent Winter-- or at least she thought it was AW-- asked from the right. "I think it was that pesky cookie you threw into the void," a voice close to Win said. It sounded like Indigo. "Yeah," Arithmancy said, "it's that cookie."

"Cookie?" Peregrine asked. "Yeah," Luminescence explained, "it hit me in the nose." She shot an unseen glare in Agent Winter's direction. Suddenly, the stars blinked back into existence. "We can see!" Luminescence exclaimed. "NO! YOU- COOKIE- ARGH!" Arithmancy growled. "It got away," she said ruefully.

Quill fell through the void, passing stars on her way down. A cookie passed her going the opposite way, which didn't seem quite possible, but who was she to judge. She landed in a heap on the ground and picked herself up.

"Not too late to join the party, I hope!" she said.

Hummingbird plummeted down through a sky shining full of stars.

Below her, a seemingly endless black void opened up to swallow her. Her scream was cut off when she hit the ground, narrowly missing Quill.

She apologized, but Quill waved the words away. Looking around, Hummingbird saw that there were several other Chatterboxers already standing around. Trying to restrain her excitement at meeting them in person, Hummingbird stood up. Immediately, a broken cookie chunk walloped her on the head.

Hummingbird winced. "Is that normal down here?"

Peregrine smiled as the stars came back.  They were her friends.  She put a hand up to her hood and pushed it back.  Comforted by the safety of the dim light.  Rarely did she lower her hood.  Her eyes, which constantly changed color, tended to cause many odd looks and questions.

A cookie flew by her head narrowly missing her nose.  “Since when do cookies fly through the air?” she asked.  “Is that normal down here?” someone, it sounded like Hummingbird, said.

”Guess so” another perosn said.

Peregrine caught the cookie as it flew by her head again.  “I don’t eat cookies, would someone eat it so it won’t hit us on the head?”, laughter was in her voice, their predicament was highly amusing.

Mary went tumbling through the void, falling down, down, down until she came to an abrupt halt on the cold, hard ground.

"What am I doing down here? And why is there a cookie on your head?" She asked Hummingbird. The others screamed.

"It's back!" Indigo Feather shouted.

"well, according to the laws of gravity, that shouldn't be surprising," Agent Winter said.

Mary blinked twice and rubbed her eyes. She was thoroughly confused.

"What in Robin's name is going on!" She shouted.

Memphis says erini.. Maybe there is someone named Erin in this void?

Sirin walked down a dark tunnel. At least, she thought it was a tunnel. It was a void, long and stretching far on either side. She had no idea how she had gotten there. She couldn't remember coming into a tunnel, but then again she couldn't remember much else.

The tunnel was utterly black, and then it twisted, turning and shaping itself. Sirin, trying to regain her balance. Then, suddenly, gravity warped and she was falling down the tunnel. She landed on solid ground, where the darkness of the void formed itself into a floor, and realized that there were other CBers around her.

She also realized that she was wearing something that wouldn’t have been out-of-place in an urban fantasy novel — knee-high silver boots and black pants, a black sleeveless top, and a leather jacket, also black. And also silver gauntlets. Everything seemed to have silver highlights. She eyed the clothes and glanced around at the other chatterboxers.

“This really doesn’t happen often, does it?" She said. "Where are we, anyways?"

Strawberri hit the groun hard. Dusting herself off, she said, "A round robin? Sure! Wait. Where am I? Could we be..inside the Chatterbox?" A cookie smaked her in the face. "Ow. Oh, chocolate chip. Yum!"

Within the void, a quite voice proclaimed, "Top!"

"Ooh, hi Quill, Hummingbird, Mary, Strawberri, Sirin! Welcome to the Void. Watch out for flying cookies," Win warned. "Yeah, no thanks to you," Luminescence grumbled, laughing. "You should also watch out for flying pies- I saw a couple right before Peregrine got here," Indigo chimed in. Arithmancy groaned. "More hostile flying desserts?" After a prolonged silence, a voice rang through the darkness.

"TOP!"

"Oh my gosh. There are toppers in the void!" Luminescence exclaimed, shocked. "Maybe we're inside a Chatterbox?" Strawberri wondered, muching on the cookie. Everyone stared at her. Hummingbird, recognizing it as the cooke that had attacked her, cheered. "You ate the cookie!" Peregrine said, astonished. Strawberri raised an eyebrow. "So?" Majestic Mary looked confused. "That's the cookie that's been plaguing us!" Indigo Feather explained.

"Oh," Strawberri said. The void suddenly turned a glowing green. Peregrine pulled her hood up hurriedly. "I feel like we're in a bowl of glow in the dark slime," Quill laughed. All of a sudden, a pie whizzed through the air, face planting at Sirin's feet.
