Elf-Human War RP

Elf-Human War RP

This is actually an idea for a book I had, but I decided to convert it into a RP. So, here we go!

The countries of Amalquar and Veeran sit directly next to each other on maps, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're right next to each other. In fact, a huge, magical portal is the only access between them. The portal is right on Amalquar's border, though, which is why confused mapmakers placed them beside each other on maps. In Amalquar live the humans. They are innovative and progressive, constantly pushing forward with new weapons, machines, and inventions. They are ruled by one all-powerful king. The elves live in Veeran. They are, by default, tall, thin creatures, with elongated ears and large, sparkling eyes. They have magical powers, harnessed through staffs with colored glass globes on the end: red globes for battle magic, blue for healing, and green for nature. They are ruled by a star-chosen leader, the Elfair, who is born with a glowing mark on their forehead to show that they will be the next Elfair. Solfar, the king of Amalquar (who I will post a charrie sheet for, along with my other charries, including the Elfair) went nearly insane with rage and sorrow when his wife, Queen Emeria, died from a magical arrow that was meant for him. Solfar immediately declared war on Veeran. The war has now been raging for 15 human years... will it ever end?

*

Battle magic consists of blasts of fire and red, harming light. Healing magic is a soft blue light that heals. Nature magic is bolts, kind of like lightning, made of green light.

Keep in mind that there are elves that live in Amalquar, for various reasons. These elves (if they're male or look male) are forced to choose between incarceration camps or joining the human army. (If they're female or look female, they have to be incarcerated)

Arwen (again)                                                                                                                              It.... was probably her fault. Actually, definetly her fault. The misty breeze turned into thick, black smoke as she came back the next day, horrified that one of the old oak trees was on fire. She thought, then remembered that the day before, instead of using light blasts to attack the poor trees, she converted it to fire, then never realized it. Luckily, it was still small, and only spreaded to the branches and leaves. She hoped not to get caught; there usually was a penalty for burning, chopping, trimming, you name it, trees without permission. As she beat the leaves and covered them with dirt, she frowned. It was obvious that something ripped off the braches of the old oak. She was determinded not to get caught. She sighed, then went into her burrow.

As she was fretting about the whole fire situation, suddenly a elf jumped in, followed by his sword. "AHHH" she screamed, frantically trying to figure out how to escape in 2 seconds. The elf rolled his eyes and said, " Jeez, I didn't know I was so scary. Could you stop killing my eardrums please?" If a word could describe the silence, it was *akward*. "Ummmm.... I gotta go!" She sent a burst of red light towards the elf, and ran.

Grace (again)                                                                                                                                As she hurried back to the army base, she wondered if she could fill for the position. Sure, it was a lot more work, but it definetly paid better. She would have to work at least 2 more years untill the debt paid off. She had been renting a room at the inn, but even thought it was the cheapest inn the the city, it still was expensive. She counted her money as she was nearing the base. She groaned. At the rate she was going, every time she got a payday, she would be only gaining enough to pay for the inn room and to buy 1 loaf of bread. She needed the job. As the gates opened, she went to the paper and signed up.

I don't know who the elf should be, and I don't know if  I messed up the plot. please tell me if I did something wrong.

~Rayla~

the horse charged into the distance and he grabbed a arrow from the quiver slung around the horse. she swireled her staff, and the bolt of nature magic formed into a bow and she aimed for the door of the commander building. she quickly put it up in flames and relesesed it, and i flew through the air and in near seconds, the building door was aflame. she vaulted herself off the horse onto a viewing station and stamped her staff on the ground three times, swiviling it over her head after each hit. a burst of green light eruptaded in the cooling air, and they seperated and rained down on the camp, serving cracks in the ground and split buildings. she raised her staf to cand another call of war, but the arrows shot from the humans flew past her as she leaped down to join the others.

Simian

"Humans! Get out of here, Simian!" yelled Zeena. Five armor clad soldiers were riding our way on horseback. Two shot arrows directly at us, and we quickly avoided them. Zeena swirled her arms in a circle, creating a glowing green halo that rose above the soldiers. She clapped her hands and a fierce lighting bolt shoot down, knocking the soldiers off their horses. We both started running, as chaos was descending all around us. "Zeena! Let's get to my house! We can hide in my basement!" Zeena shot me a strange look. "No way! I wouldn't go in your house if we were the last people alive!"  Of all the times to be arguing... Suddenly, I spotted something out of the corner of my eye. But before I could say anything, a long spear ran right through me, impaling my chest and leaving me in great pain. I struggled to get up, but the soldier was turning around, coming back at me. I glanced around, and saw that Zeena was dealing with her own opponent. I quickly dodged the running horse, and cast a red bolt from my hands. It nailed the soldier right in his ribs, and sent him flying off. I need to get out of here.

Lance

With dozens of flaming arrows flying towards the castle, a general tossed me a sword. I glanced at him. "Um, I'm not going to kill any elves. I'm kind of a pacifist." The general glared at me. "Oh, for crying out loud!" He snatched my sword and ran to the castle door to fight, but in that instant, a huge explosion occured right at the door, blowing the defenses to smithereens. Then, out of the smoke and ashes, I saw it. Thay had brought... a dragon.

Arwen                                                                                                                                                 'Whew. That was a close one.' was the thought that first popped up into her mind as she lost the elf behind the cover of trees. She wondered why he didn't part the trees with magic. Or at least try to fight. That would have been nice. Actually, now she was wondering why he was speaking in English. That was weird, last time she checked, elves spoke elvish, but then again, she hadn't been in elvin society for at least 5 human years. She sighed, then decided to think about returning to society.

As she carefully walked around the traps around her burrow, she quickly looked into it, and seeing it was emty, jumped in. She didn't want to. But she had to. And,so, she decided to take a trip back to her home. The first concern was that she had to cut into human land. They were burners of trees , as they cut down trees then burned them to a crisp. She was not looking forward to it. Then she sighed. She should get packing, immediatly.

Grace

Yes! She had got it! The job was hers! She quickly jumped up and down giddly, then realized she was at a army base, not a play house and piped down. She weaved her way through the soldiers untill she found the person she wanted. The supply manager. He was friendly to her but in his mid 40's. She knew he was a trusted source and asked how the job worked.

Good news. He knew how it worked. Bad news. She would have to stick around men, but also elves too. That would get her a few snide remarks from the head manager, who hated elves, and also the king, who also disliked elves. Well, it was for the better and her first shift was coming up.
