>>QnA<<
Q: What is NaNoWriMo? A. NaNoWriMo (Or NaNo for even shorter) is short for National Novel Writing Month. In the month of November, you challenge yourself to write a novel (or whatever other word count goal you want)!
Q: How do I do it? A. Chances are, most of the people reading this are under 18, so you can go sign up for the NaNo Young Writers Program! It is completely free, and you can set word goals and write there year-round!

yes of course! anything goes. as long as you're writing, literally anything in the entire universe, multiverse, and/or imaginary-verse goes.

I think I'm gonna do this with a story I just thought of TODAY which doesn't give me a lot of time to plan but whatever. It's working title is "Runaways", because the main characters are... well, runaways.

I geuss I'll (We'll?) see what happens. *downloads NaNo book on Sora*

Dear Writing_in_the_dark,

The Nano policy is that Nano classrooms are not allowed for kids outside of a specific school or classroom. That also means other parts of Nano. But of course the goal—writing a novel in November—is very much encouraged!

I'm doing NaNo for the first time and I have an idea for a story, but this is my first time writing a ful length novel, (I have done short stories before) and I need some tips on how to get started, and how much prep needs to go into it before hand.

Thanks for anyone who helps me out

P.S. how do you guys hold yourself acountable to keep it up?

I don't know if we should start a new thread now that it's started. Also,

NaNo's started! I, um, am probaly not going to win the challenge because I am not keeping up with the "average word count to win" thing at all. It's so hard to write so much!! But I hope to keep writing on there every day even after November. And the site is so cool! I can't wait until I am 13 so I can acces the forums.

I don't know if I should change my word-count goal. I already did change it, down to 50,000, but I still am not meeting the daily word count goals and I am really behind. But it would be cheating to lower it more, right?

Horrors, I'm still puzzled about NaNoWriMo. Who started it? Once you've written your novel are there any contests you enter it in? Is it open to everyone? Where can I find out more about it?

@Admin, could you please tell me? Thanks!

I don't know who started it. NaNoWriMo is not connected to Cricket. We're not posting any contact information because it had user privacy problems.
