Crieff jumped up, alarmed. He had initially hoped that Ardie was just off on a walk, or something, but her sleeping bag was no longer there, as well as all her other things. Something on the ground caught his eye. It was a smudged piece of paper, folded over on itself twice, held down with a small rock. Crieff reached for it with trembling hands and unfolded it, recognizing Ardie’s rushed cursive. 

Crieff,

I’m sorry things had to happen the way they did, I really am. I will never feel the same way about you as you feel about me, and that is just a fact. Please don’t worry about me. I am hidden somewhere clever, where you will never find me. I have to find Akhalia, before it is too late. She is the only one who can save me now. I am in danger, and if we had stayed together, you would have been too. 

 Please, Crieff. Go back to Delfer. Forget about me. My time is running out, and I assure you, you do not want to be here when it does.

Ardie

No, no, no, no! Crieff thought, over and over. He collapsed, quivering, in the grass. He lay there for a long time, tears leaking out of his eyes and into the soil below him. Ardie. She was the best thing that had ever happened to him and without her, Crieff wasn’t sure who he was. After a while, his stomach began to rumble. He sighed and sat up, his eyes caked with tears, and loped into the forest to find something to eat. He finally found a blackberry bush and started munching on the berries. However, he noticed another smudged paper, identical to the other one, on the ground. He bent down and unfolded it, and to his surprise, he saw that it was a hand-drawn map, accidentally left behind at the blackberry bush! Crieff vaguely recognized the shape of the Great River that tracked north through the countryside, through the marshes and plains of Canderra, dumping out into a mountainous spring. And there, by the North Canderrian Mountains, was a giant circle, connected to an arrow that was connected to a single word, obviously written by Ardie’s rushed hand. The map read: Akhalia?

Are we the only one active on here?

Can everyone post a comment on this if they're still playing within the next few days? I think some people signed up ages ago and forgot about it (like me heh), so it would be helpful to see who's actually planning to follow through.

If someone doesn't post relatively soon, they could be removed from the list, but of course they could always join again at a better time if they want.

I'm planning to keep going with this. What about everyone else?
