Lav's TAPM! In

Lav's TAPM! In digging up the thread where Ema and I did our TAPM story, I found a post by GloWorm saying she needed to stop overseeing TAPM and thus that it was going to die. I had a great time with Ema in our story, so I would like to give everyone else the chance to do this again. I will try to be as faithful as GloWorm was with pairing and making threads. Same thing - post a small sample of your work or a link to a thread here with your work. Include the genre you'd like to go for and, if you like, a partner you want. I'll pair you up and spur you on to greatness. :D I'm rather more casual than GloWorm was, so most anything will go. While it would be nice if you would post your samples in the genre you want to work in, I won't send Them after you if you don't. Cheery-ho!

I'm up for the pairing, of course, although I will not pick someone unless they pick me first. I won a web poetry contest here with this poem, "Summer Song."

With a flutter and a whisper
Evening Wind comes lisping by
While her brother, Dreaming Shadow,
Waits to claim the dimming sky.
Shaking leaves and dancing branches
Move in harmony as one;
By these gentle, softened touches
We can know that Day is done.

I am open to any genre. For a story I wrote (part of on the first one), add /node/27193 to the inkwell address or /node/21981. Sorry - I don't want to wake up my brother to remind me how to do hyperlinks.

Cheers,

lavendershy

I would like to join! I would've posted a link but I cannot find where these threads went, so thus, a poem of mine that some chatterboxers have already read.

Lady Winter: (updated version)

She walks through the wood/ lit ablaze with color/ a new season blossoming/where she treads/   Fresh fallen snow crunches/ beneath her bare feet/ each of her gasps from the frozen air/ are like sleigh bells that chime/ in the lisps of the breeze/ The freezing winds whisper her name/ as she brings them to earth,/ The fire drops from the trees,/ and where she touches the now bare branches/ with her frigid breath,/ icicles form/ taking her breath away in puffs of steam./ she leaves winter in her wake./   She walks through the wood/ surrounded by a haze of gray/  the new season unfurling/ where she treads.

Thanks, Katie! I kind of need more people before I can pair you, but I will as soon as I can.

Ugh! I'll /try/ to post my HP parody later on, but that's all I've got right now that I can post, as the other's are all waaaay too long. Could you accept that as a 'later'? *puppy eyes*

I like sci-fi/fantasy, and I have no preferences really, but I want to wait to be paired up with someone until more people join. (No offense of course Katie, I'm just not sure if our writing style is similar.)

Like living black fire
He flies wild and free
A banner of chestnuts, whites, and grays
Fans out out behind him, his legacy.

He trumpets his victory
His easily-won fight
King of the Mustangs
The Stallion of Night

Sorry. It's not my best. I made it up on the spot... Anyway, I would rather do fantsy or something, but I don't really care. If you want,  Lavendarshy, I'll partner with you, but I'm fine with whoever I get.

I'll do it. :) Like Lovely Mathilda, I like sci-fi/fantasy. I'll give you a hyperlink later, to the other TAPM thread, on which I posted... um... something about Martians blowing up Earth, I think. Anyone remember that?

Emma, I'd love to go with you. If you're OK with that, would you go ahead and make the thread? It will just take twice as long if you OK that and then I make the thread. Oh, and pick our genre - I really don't care. If you've changed your mind, respond to this.

Katie, could you post what genre you'd like to do? Thanks!

I enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, and realistic fiction.

Ok, I'm going to put Lovely Lunegood and Katie together on a sci-fi story, although if you'd like to fiddle with the genre, go ahead. If you'd like to make it a poem or a play or something else, that's fine, as well. Tomorrow, if neither of you have complained or want another partner, I will make you a thread. One thing - please respond to this only if you want a different partner. If I see that one of you has posted but I can't see your post, I will delay making the thread to see if you have a complaint.

K, I just made the thread! It says Lavendershy and Emma's Story at the top, so you should be able to find it.

Can I join this? I like science fiction and fantasy. Are we still supposed to do a writing sample? Well, I'll do one anyway, just in case.

I would like to join but I currently do not have access to a writing sample of mine.

I would like to do fantasy, tragedy perhaps, but not romance because I am really bad at it. So if there's any falling in love the other person has to do that part. ;)

So please pair me with somebody. Thanks!

How come I never get matched with anyone? Ok, here's a sample from a story I'm working on:

That
night the drums beat for a council. Lunacea donned her golden circlet with the
green stone set in it, and glided through the shadowy forest. A fresh spring
breeze was blowing, and the moon shone through a tear in the blanket of clouds.

The
gathering-tree glowed from within, lit by dozens of beeswax candles. Lunacea
alighted in the doorway. She walked in, almost seeming to float, and the
shadows and candlelight played about her face. The moment was ethereal to those
watching. It seemed as though in her was the beauty of the Faerie Queens of
old, and through it the old magic could be felt.

As
Lunacea explained her idea, hope rose in the hearts of the council members.
Suggestions were added to the skeleton of a plan. It grew and grew. One Faerie,
Robyn, had a wing-color enhancer recipe that had been passed down from her
mother, which could be altered and used as a wing-color darkener. A bluebird
named Paul was volunteered to fly the spy to the cliffs.  Piece by piece the plan fell into shape,
taking form and color.

Lunacea’s
excitement was growing as it had not done for seven years. Perhaps the path was
being laid to the recompletion of the Faerie Kingdom.
Things were looking up again.

Ann and Mary W., I'm going to put you two together on a story. Sci-fi and fantasy were what you both liked. I won't be here to make you guys a thread, so if you both like that arrangement, make yourselves a thread and go!

Cheers,
