Kyngdom Revival???

Kyngdom Revival???

Kyngdom Revival???

I heard talk of reviving Kyngdom again, and I really want to help! I thought it'd be good for anyone who wants to help to have a thread on the CB? Sorry if I am being pushy or if there were other plans, I just got excited!

I think it will be a pretty big project, and so we should make a plan. … But I don't know where to start XD Pangolin had a LOT of great ideas that they posted on the Kyngdom Live Chat. They also have a great RP posted on the RP board you should check out (along with Poinsettia's and my RP, and the Woodland RP if it's still active!)

I believe the plan that the CBers had come up with to revive Kyngdom before was that everything now would take place about ten years later, right? That way we don't delete all of the past Kyngdomer's work, but can also move on and come up with our own new ideas. Please correct me if I'm wrong. There's a lot of things I don't understand about the original plan, does anyone know what the plan was, if there was one?

I'm so excited!!

I had another idea :0

I've been developing Lord Helion a bit, and it occurred to me that, though married, he certainly wouldn't love his wife - and that gave me the idea of having his wife join the Resistance. I was thinking she could help out Arietis and Tarava if they're still going to take over Lord Helion's palace? Or maybe just interact with them a bit? Idk if this would work for you and Amethyst and we definitely don't have to do it, but I just thought it might be fun :)

Hey all

I think @Scuttles is right that it might be good to figure out what happened during the ten-year timeskip. I think it's fair to say that not much happened, and the war wasn't really going anywhere, but do we need more than that? Idk, what does everyone think?

Also… I feel like we need more people to do this. What can we do to encourage people to join Kyngdom?

And for plans in the future of Kyngdom:

- How do you all feel about revving the Bog + Burrow and making it not only a place for a casual tavern rp but also having there be a secret FAFA/Restistance base in the basement where charries make plans and recruit others?

- Should BIG have a place to discuss plans (if they don't already have one)?

- Do we need more characters who are already in the Resistance or working for BIG? I can make some if it's necessary.

Realistically, can one side ever "win" the fight? Wouldn't that mean Kyngdom was over and ultimately end it for everyone?

Hey if you all wanted we could use Mission at BIG as a base for BIG to make plans if that would work?? Idk I haven't really looked at it but that might work

Yea honestly I think that we shouldn't have anything too drastic happening in those 10 years, so we could just say the war wasn't rlly going anywhere.

We definitely need to encourage more people. So far, we've just been adding an ad on MCU...not entirely sure how we could get more ppl. I think the thing that keeps ppl is how complicated/confusing it is , since that's kind of what kept me at first, but idk we already have the guides and such so...not sure I can offer much there

Yes let's revive bog + burrow! But quick question, what is the FAFA doing currently?

If one side does win the fight, I feel like Kyngdom would have to end, but there could always be new conflicts of some sort. But in the end, we probably can't rlly have one side actually "win".

Sry so short haven't that much time lately (promise I haven't abandoned woodland or BCAftV or travelers or any!!) but for the last thing, there's also always after-war consequences, like finding new rules and dealing with casualties and how to find the normal in peacetime again, which may not be as exciting but could be interesting, like maybe more the fight for who the new ruler would be could be a conflict?? Or, oc, if catastrophe is defeated, there could still be some supporters out there who want to avenge him...

Maybe during the ten-year timeskip the Resistance has been discovering ways to control the Powers? I think there's been a lot of talk about that, and it would account for why they've been lying low all this time.

I don't really know what we could do to get more people interested... start a Kyngdom RP in DtE, or CaC, where it will be more visible?

Ooh, I love that Bog + Burrow idea! We should definitely do that! :) Mission at Big could definitely work too ig. Oh yeah, probably more FAFA/BIG charries would be useful!

Well, if one side won (probably it would be the Resistance who won), it would certainly take away a major storyline of Kyngdom. But there'd still be so many other ways to RP in Kyngom; here are some ideas:

-going exploring and discovering new islands, colonizing them, perhaps some charries would be anti-colonization and would work to protect the inhabitants of the islands - ooh I'm getting kinda inspired just thinking about it

-a Merchant RP about trading, and the adventures the merchants/caravans have - kind of inspired by the Silk Road and Marco Polo

-subplots about particular ethnic groups - just RPs that might also be created in Inkwell, but specifically set within Kyngdom

-prequels - exploring what happened before the timeskip, creating storylines that happened alongside the major one

-stories of Kyngdom's royalty/nobles

-a second Catastrophe could arise and be defeated

-an RP in which CBers visit Kyngdom

-an enemy invades (perhaps merfolk?)

I like everyone's ideas so far! I'll make a post about Kyngdom in Random Thoughts; everyone checks that, but I don't think we should bring Kyngdom RPs onto the CB bc it might get confusing.

I'll work on starting something to revive Bog + Burrow when I have time (probably on this weekend or maybe Thursday at the earliest)

Okay, what do you think of this:

The Bog + Burrow Inn is now being used not only as a fun hangout filler rp, but also features a meeting room in the basement where FAFA members meet and plan things.

Do you think this would work or get too chaotic? Should we instead create a separate rp for FAFA, or perhaps reactivate the FAFA thing on the Groups Board (which I haven't gotten too close a look at really and don't know how to use but might be able to figure out)?

If we decide to do that instead, Bog + Burrow can just continue to be a simple filler roleplay, and it will be fine. That might actually work out better in the end because it would be super easy to jump into, although I think having FAFA there could also make it potentially easier and more straightforward to join them.

Maybe we should do both the FAFA group and Bog + Burrow? I've just been taking a look at the FAFA Meetings group in the Kyngdom Groups section, and it looks like it would be a good place to plan FAFA moves - kind of like a home base. But on the other hand, I really like your Bog + Burrow idea, so maybe that could be an additional FAFA meeting place, like maybe where charries meet when they're on important missions and can't get to their home base. What do you think?

heh, Iffy doesn't think much of it, at any rate. She's saying "moann."

Yeah, like maybe the FAFA place in the Bog + Burrow is more like a smaller meeting spot where less major/more local plans are made, and where FAFA agents look for new recruits, while also playing the role of a fun hangout that makes it easy to join Kyngdom?

If nobody has any objections or anything to add, I can make some charries to rp there and get it up and running.

Poinsettia, as the one who as far as I know has had the closest look at the FAFA Group in the Groups (wow for some reason it took me like five tries to spell group right lol) section of Kyngdom, what do you think we should do with it? Is it a roleplay or a planning spot, or something else entirely? How do we get it up and running again?

And sorry I keep saying "up and running" lol

Hi! Sorry it took me a few days to reply to this, lol.

From what I've seen, the FAFA Group (haha, I just spelled it as "Grup," so you're not alone) was kind of both a planning thread and an RP - characters interacted, but CBers also used it to talk about what was going to happen next to their charries. We could probably keep it that way if that would be okay with everyone! What do you think?

ok, so i'm not sure where the old CBers left off (the people who originally developed Kyngdom before we got here), but i read that they had people roleplay as Claaws and Jaaws, along with the other powers and important people (like Catastrophe) and the Powers' slideaffected forms. are we still doing that?

if so, have we decided on who's playing/roleplaying as who?

i just reposted the power's origin story: https://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/kyngdom/node/282865?page=22

there's the link, feel free to read through!
