I felt naked.  When I saw him.  Decked in shorts and a sweatshirt (only known to me because I’ve had to buy them to fit in), his tan, muscular body looked so different from mine.  He had golden hair.  My heart pounded and I suddenly wished I wore my cream-colored tunic.  Not the white.  I was too white.  I completely blended together, my white hair, skin, lips, nails, dress, that it seemed I was, in fact, naked.  The only thing that stood out were my piercing black eyes, the ones that made me the wonder of my community on Parfana, my home planet.

Abandoning home was like killing myself.  But when the war started between Parfana and Egan, our neighboring planet, my mom forced me into our single-person ship with strict directions to go to earth.  He was the first thing I saw, when my ship landed on a sandy beach and I stepped out, waves lapping my feet.  This ocean reminded me of the Fuioi, our body of water in Parfana, and stabs of pain and guilt for leaving my parents caused me to collapse.  When my eyes opened, all I could see was his face.  Blue eyes.  Red lips.  Dark eyebrows.  He was so… bizarre, I had to look away. But my eyes hurt.  Everything was so loud and colorful.  His hands gripped my shoulders, asking me to stay with him, but, again, I slowly drifted away.  Unconsciousness was black.  I wanted white.

The first scene!  I haven't decided her name yet.

You won't believe where I am. Earth! The people here are so odd. The girls where little shorts and keep looking at me because of my long flowing dress. Many of them are tan, like me. Mother has sent a message with Dorie(our little alien-dog) that she misses me a lot and hopes I will find my way in this world. Right now I am living in a place called an apartment. They sleep on beds and eat meat. I have never seen such unhealthy food. Someone asked me if I was from a different planet today. I of course answered yes and they laughed. I don't know why. I answered the truth... Well wish me luck for tomorrow. I'll send Dorie back to Melania with a message for mom.

Oh, and if anyone would like to critque this, that would be fine, because if I'm doing scenes, I might want to turn it into a story.  Thanks. :)

Oh, and were we not supposed to give out who we were!?  Whoooooops, well, I'll try to be more secretive next theme. :D

I did that too at first.

This thing called an apartment is quite strange. They have something which I have heard of but I do prefer Bala lake. It's a shower. The water can be changed to temperature. There are very many noises of these stupid car machines outside my window. Oh well. I miss Mama and Gran. I will se them again. Tomorrow I have school. I wonder what we'll learn. I wonder if they'll have a library like at my old school. I can hear Pika(my brother) snoring. I'll write tomorrow. Good Night!

Straining my eyes in the dim light from Kalipsa's small yellow star, I tried to make out the alien before me. It was a biped, standing upright, but unlike any bipeds I had met it had forward-bending knees. It had a shaggy tuft of dark hair atop its head, and some other dangly stuff around its body that didn't look like hair at all. As my eyes adjusted I was able to make out my surroundings. Tall, branching plants stood around me, and my ship was sitting in the top of one at an odd angle. The door was open, I had been ejected moments before the crash. The alien stooped over me. I noticed its square teeth as it opened it mouth in an expression of displeasure. It's slender paws, complete with strange blunt claws, stroked my side gently. I  was breathing hard, my heart pounding. The alien spoke to me in an unfamiliar language. "Good boy... Good doggy doggy..."

"Greetings" I yell at the strange Earthling across the liquid. "Yo, dude! This is my beach! You better get off!" A female Earthling moved towards it. "Hey, hey, just a second, Mr. Weirdo over here is being pushy." His chest was bare and wore clothing on his legs. It was stirped. Liquid lapped at my feet. I moved foward, my fourteen toes sinking in the, well, whatever I was stepping in. It was hot. And it hurt against my feet. My pitch-black eyes dotted back and forth. Earthlings like The It (that's what I'm calling the rude Earthling) were everywhere, throwing circular objects and chasing animals. I hated it. I wanted to be home. I didn't want to be an inglecticia. I didn't want to go to Earth to study Earthlings. I was scared. I wanted to go home. I was scared.

Dictionary like thing:

Earthling: Person

Circular Objects: Beach Balls

Animals: Dogs

Inglecticia: Scientist

You won't believe what happened! I went to school! It is nothing like my old one. They have a weird thing that they use to eat lunch. A cafeteria. The people called lunch ladies served us something called sloppy joes and something else called hotdog. I asked them if they had any vegetarian stuff and they laughed. People also laughed at my clothes. Now what's wrong with an olive green tunic!? I don't want to be walking in 5 cm short skirts, thank you very much. It's not who I am. We had many things called subjects.I certainly prefer what we used to do. Studies of plants and wild animals.  Now we sit at some wooden board and listen to a teacher talk about things. They tell us things that are quite interesting. I'm starting to get an idea of the human race. The girls and boys in my class keep passing little pieces of paper with writing on them. The paper from the girl in front of me said:

R U really bored? Fyi JB totally Rockz!

Is this a new form of the human language? I'll ask my brother.  These humans confuse me. Well, off to finish my school work.

When will we reveal ourselves?

Today Pika and I went to a grocery store. What an odd name! Well, I must say I prefer picking my fruit off trees. Fresh. I picked up a mango (It looks just like the fruit we have at home! Finally!)  and smelled it. The sign said fresh fruit. Yeah Right! This must've been 5 days old. I saw a lady with a tag that said Joanne and I told her that I didn't believe that the mango was fresh. She rolled her eyes and guffawed at me. Oh well... What did I say wrong?! What confusing people! Pika won't listen to me when I try to tell him this. He just says "What did you expect?" and keeps paying with some weird electronic thing.  I'll send a message with Dorie telling Mom that I'm OK.  So long for now!
