One of the things I say most often on this RP, Elizabeth:

Do I Have To Post Again?

submitted by Draco

Apparently, I do.

Draco~

There it is, beautiful shining white with a golden horn and a silver mane and BLAH.... but something's wrong. The unicorn is flying, or floating, or whatever. To its back are strapped two thingies with what sort of looks like blue fire coming out of them.

Beside me, Elyana gasps. "Do you think they could be... baby dragons?"

The unicorn laughs tinkly-ly. "Hah hah. They're jetpacks.

"Whatpacks???" I ask.

"Oh, well, you wouldn't know that I am a magical fairy rainbow unicorn god who can travel through time and worlds. I mean, honestly, hardly anyone who isn't a unicorn knows that. And I'm hired to kill one of you, so please be so kind as to stand aside."

Who'd hire a god? Only another god. I remember Deren's cryptic message-- the one you first met will join us.

It had to be one of us. Sunflame was technically the one I first met-- unless Ferr counted. Or did they mean humans? My stomach tightened even more-- that would be... Elyana. And Endey.

This little unicorn in all ways possible was not going to do this to us.

Aleakim is already in the air, preparing to throw a dagger. Corbinian is fitting an arrow to his crossbow. Now Adela with Xandella and Elyana with Xell join the fight in the air. I sorta jump onto Ferr while drawing my sword (something I learned from Endey a while ago). Arlen seems to be quite used to this situation. He draws a beautiful (and practical, I notice with approval) sword, gets onto his dragon, and flies towards the unicorn god. With amazing precision, he gives the unicorn a cut across the neck.

The unicorn looks furious. "You're not supposed to do that!!!" he yells angrily.

"Bad luck," mutters Endey and cuts off the unicorn's tail.

This sends the unicorn into an even greater rage. He kicks and neighs and breathes pink smelly perfume, so that Ferr has to do a sort of half-loop. He avoids the hooves but is too late to dodge the perfume. Me, Endey, and Ferr all end up smelling like a sickly combination of what seems to be all the flowers in the world. My hair is full of drops of pink liquid.

"I've always hated perfume!" I yell at the unicorn. Ferr dives again. and I cut off the unicorn's head....

..............

It grows back. The eyes that were violet are now a deep red. And they glowed.

"THAT HURT!!!!" It screams, and, scattering dragons, it charges at the one that's right in front of him.... Sunflame.

Everything's frozen in time. We all watch the unicorn, the dragon, and the girl flying, charging, flipping, dodging. And then the unicorn hits Sunflame with a blast of perfume that smells the same, only it's green.....

Sunflame is frozen. There is nothing to stop the unicorn from killing her....

Except Kerra. "NO!!!" she yells, and launches herself right at the unicorn's horn.

She lands.....

It pierces her....

She flies towards earth.....

"Hank owes me five Idols," the god mutters.... then vanishes...

Still as if in slow motion, Kerra is falling to the ground.

When Deren died, I thought that nothing was worse than the death of a friend.

I was wrong.

Nothing is worse than witnessing the death of a friend.

~~~
Funny how both of the deaths in this RP involve unicorns.
I'm sorry, but Endey has gone dead in my head.
I was laughing myself to pieces until Kerra died. Oh, Kerra...
Sorry this is so draking short. My mom is nagging me to get off the computer.
Aleakim--
My heart stops as I watch my sister fall to the ground. Paralyzed, it's all I can do to move out of the way as the unicorn charges past me on its way out.
"No" is all I can manage as I rush to Kerra's side. Anex is already there, pulling various herbs from his satchel and pressing them to the wound. But it's too late.
I would've put Arlen's blessing in Draconian, but I don't know how to speak it. I think there might've been some in the first RP. I almost put it in German... :D Anyway, I usually write much more but I'm still not sure if I got everything right so I'm writing really little posts for now.
Arlen-
I slip off my dragon’s back and stride over to the girl who is sprawled on the ground with someone bending over her.
“No!” Someone gasps from behind me, then rushes over to the girl’s side. Perhaps a lover? “Stay here, Kerra.” No kissing. This is the brother.
“Is there anything else we can do for her, Anex?” I can’t remember her name.  Draca? Drago?
“Draco, she’s dead,” Anex, the “medicine man”, tells her.
Everyone is silent, staring at Kerra’s limp body.
I kneel on the ground, bow my head and place my hands on the girl’s heart.
May you rise into the skies and live forever, never to be forgotten.” I whisper the blessing and back away.
By the way, what's Scratch?
Draconian is just Latin. Thank you, Google Translate! Sometimes we mush words together a little bit to create swears in which we call people dragon dung.
Scratch is this animation thingy, and I don't really know how to explain. Invisible can explain it better (I still can't figure out who you are!). They're pretty cool. "Hi! My name is Endey! Draco makes me confused! Stale apple pie makes me mad! Knights make me madder!"
I was not a stranger to Death. After all, I had five personal friends in the afterlife, and I was sure I would be received with open arms (and claws) when I got there myself. He hadn’t been easy to spot the first time; little more than a shadow, an invisible darkness that I couldn’t see or feel but I knew was there. The second time had been even less of an occasion for Death to appear, as to this day I still don’t know where Denek’s body is, and I hadn’t been anywhere near the place of his dying when it happened… or maybe I had. I would never know. The third time I had seen Him—I had seen Him well. He had been a ghost, a dark shadow of a man that hung over Deren as he breathed his last breath, capturing the life as it slipped out of him and disappearing without a trace. No, I knew what Death looked like, and I knew He was coming to lead Kerra off the Earth as soon as He could.
But this time it was different. As I stood, watching as the others crowded around her, I felt strangely detached. Kerra’s face was pale and sickly, but with her eyes closed, she looked like she could be asleep. I knew she wasn’t asleep, though. She would never be asleep again. As Arlen said some sort of blessing over her, something about rising into the sky, I saw with dread the familiar figure out of the corner of my eye. I didn’t turn my head to look at Him, just kept staring at Kerra’s body as He approached, but from what I could see He seemed much clearer than last time. Much more real, as if He got easier and easier to see with every death I witnessed. He glided effortlessly to Kerra where she lay, the others staring right past Him and fixating on her. He bent over her and reached down, tucking something into the folds of His black cloak. I couldn’t see what it was, but as he backed away I saw that it was glowing faintly—a bright spark in a sea of black. And a glimpse at Kerra’s face told me exactly what I needed to know. She was gone. I could feel the tears welling up inside me, pressing against me and straining to escape but never making it to my eyes. I took one last look at the hooded figure before He disappeared… and to my surprise, He looked straight at me. Well, as much as it’s possible to look when one has no eyes.
THESE THINGS HAPPEN. It was a completely unexpected sentence. I blinked.
DON’T WORRY. SHE HAS PLENTY OF FRIENDS UP THERE. A small motion with His hand showed exactly what he meant by “up there”. It also revealed a gleaming silver scythe. Then He gave a single, quick nod—reassuring, in a way, for Death—and promptly disappeared. I was left standing a few paces away from the others, staring at the spot where He had been. I shook my head clear and tried to focus on the scene in front of me. Most of my friends looked shocked, like they still didn’t comprehend that Kerra was gone. For me, that phase had only lasted a few seconds this time. I had seen it enough times to know it was real. Adela was crying, along with Anex and, to my surprise, Draco, but Aleakim looked the worst. She was just sitting by her stepsister’s side, motionless, like she had been turned to stone. I walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. She didn’t look up.
“She’s going to be okay,” I said softly. Aleakim looked up at me then, her eyes unfocused, a hopeless look on her face.
“How?” she whispered. “She’s… she’s…” Aleakim didn’t finish the sentence.
“I just know,” I said. She stared at the ground.
“You don’t know,” she said quietly. I smiled a little.
“Yes, I do,” I said. “Death told me.”
