This is an RP about the Society of Concerned Scientists' boarding school. The idea is, as some of the students are getting ready to graduate, they meet some of SOCS' human experiments and realize the reality of what SOCS does after being manipulated their whole lives. Then they can decide if they want to help the experiments and escape SOCS, or be a part of SOCS anyway.
You can have as many characters as you like, and they can be a student or an experiment. However, I think it's best there be only up to six characters who are experiments for the time being. We might add more later, but I think it will be more balanced if we begin with a smaller number. And two of my characters are experiments, so that leaves four experiment slots left. Experiments can be human, animal, or some combination of the two. Students must be human. I believe the original SOCS Boarding School was all girls? That's up to you guys if we should keep it that way, if you'd like to change it we can.

Sybill said that BIG and SOCS merged and they both answer to Catastrophe now (on this thread: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/kyngdom-rp/node/552216) and the Ultimate Guide says (on pg 3), "At the top of Bleak Peak, the old BIG base is mysteriously rebuilt. The darker remains of SOCS and BIG team up, and they are blended with Catastrophe’s forces."
So I don't think it would be too far-fetched to have another boarding school? (Except it wouldn't be the SOCS boarding school--it'd be the BIG boarding school? or I don't know if they have a new name now?) (and anyway, if they have merged and we agree that there is a new boarding school, we can change it a bit from the original SOCS boarding school so that it's not just girls, etc)
And I guess then it'd make sense for the boarding school to be training people for Catastrophe's army, and maybe the experiments are to create stronger soldiers for his army...? i don't know
basically, this is a really cool RP idea and I think it would make sense for there to still be a boarding school. What do you all think?

Ooh yes, all of that makes sense! I'm up for that if everyone else is! :) And uh yeah or would it be Catastrophe's boarding school? Or Ig no just BIG's boarding school but they do it for Catastrophe (idk if that even just made sense)? And yeah let's not do the all-girls too then if SOCS is now merged with everyone else? idk, what are your thoughts?

No, it still is! It's about the students and the experiments, but they just go to a different school now. Same original storyline idea!

Okay, here's what I came up with:
Everything we planned before I realized SOCS no longer exists just takes place at the BIG Boarding School. I was thinking we could call it BIG Boarding School in general but it's official name could be BIG Cadet Academy for the Valiant. Is that too long? I think we'd mostly just call it the BIG Boarding School
"We are the valiant!" Could be the school motto.
The storyline is still the same. Young people from Kyngdom go to BIG Boarding school and and learn to fight for BIG and Catastrophe. I think experiments just happen to be being experimented on at/near BIG Boarding School, and a few (read: the ones in this rp) manage to escape and are found by the boarding school. Because both work for BIG, they're recaptured by the school but a few curious students (the ones in this rp) discover them and we'll have to see what happens from there. What do you think? Anything to change/add?

I think that's a great premise! There isn't really anything I'd want to change.
I really like BIG Cadet Academy for the Valiant for the name! I don't think it's too long at all :D Maybe the students can be called Valiants? idk

Love that! And yess the name is AWESOME!! Just one question, sry, a bit confused on this part... so when the experiments are found by the boarding school... the boarding school itself continues experimenting on them? Why don't they return them to where they escaped from? But yay! :D

Good point, Celine! I was thinking they'd be being held there for the time being while stronger cells were prepared for them/BIG was deciding what to do with them, and the students ran into them. We can work it out as we go, though, and things might change. No stress :] Let me know if there's any other questions!!

I think it might be best to just get started! We can change anything if we need to, but right now I think we're all eager to start and we should just go! Anyone who wants to join can join whenever; everyone feel free to let me know if there's any confusion!

If there was one thing Crescent Auclair knew, it was that History of BIG class was boring.
BIG did this, BIG defeated that. Catastrophe's a hero, we should all look up to him. Cress knew. And it wasn't that she didn't look up to Catastrophe. But she knew all the battles by heart and she wanted to get out into the world to live them.
She leaned back in her chair a bit and sighed. At least archery class was next.
Ah, archery. The best class, where Cress excelled. She suspected when graduation finally came she'd be given a job that involved it, or perhaps she'd be a secret agent. That would be fun…
"Cress! Cresent!"
She looked over. Xar was staring at her. She realized there wasn't anybody else in the room. "Wow, you really zoned out," he said, raising an eyebrow. "Are you okay?" Without waiting for an answer, Xar started leaving the room. "C'mon, we're late to archery!"
Cress grinned a bit, excited to get in some practice with her crossbow, and stood.

Uhh yeah ik that was short and pretty dull, but I wasn't really sure where to start? I think a regular school day to introduce the characters and their personalities will be good, and at night we can have the experiments escape and the true story begin. This is short because I didn't really have any other characters to bounce off of, but it will get more interesting once eveyrone's rping lol! Btw, Xar isn't really a charrie of mine, I just needed Cress to have a friend. Anyone can use him (he uses he/him pronouns) if they need to!

Archery class. It was fun enough, Zia supposed. She just never could get the hang of it. "Ugh," she grunted as the arrow fell short of the target for the tenth time. She reached into the quiver strapped over her shoulder, but found it empty. Next to her, Crescent Auclair, star of the class, was hitting bullseye after bullseye, even splitting some arrows perfectly in half, like some sort of machine. How was she so good? But this wasn't the time to think of that. She rummaged through the bin of arrows, looking for one that wasn't broken, finally finding a shiny new shaft. Hmm. She fitted it into her bow again, taking careful aim. Maybe, if she could just hit one target... boing! The arrow flew into the target, knocked it over, bounced back, and dropped at her feet with a cheerful thwoink! Some people glanced over at her, curiosity and concern written on their faces. Zia fought the urge to scream. It would be ok, she thought to herself. It's gonna be fine. Blades are next. Blades are your domain. You're still the best, still the top student, overall... She picked up the arrow, which had miraculously not broken, slowly, and fitted it back against her string, trying to laugh off the fail. She knew she probably sounded like some crazy donkey, but everyone needed to know that she was fine. Of course she was fine! Why wouldn't she be? She took aim again...

Kathleen was enjoying the sky. Yes, she knew she was supposed to be doing archery, but it was such a blue blue sky and such a pity, she thought, not to enjoy it. Though not many did. She sighed. She supposed being the valiant also meant you weren't allowed to enjoy simple things like a beautiful sky. But this was her dream school, what she'd wanted to do since... forever. Being able to put in her best effort to support Catastrophe... what could be truer? And putting in your best effort... probably didn't mean staring at the sky during classtime. Well then. It would just have to wait until class was over.

I like your charries a lot! Do you think Cress and Lee could already be friends at the beginning of the story, and maybe Zia and Cress could start to befriend each other as the rp goes on (they could teach each other blades and archery lol)? Ofc, it's fine if you don't like that idea though!
