Drawing!

Well, lately I've been sort of fine-tuning my drawings... this is sort of a copy of Coral's Drawing Thread, where we posted some of our drawings. So, behold a page of my doodles... (please let this show up please let this show up!)

Haha...
I sketch with either a no. 2 pencil that I sharpened with a pencil sharpener, or a mechanical pencil, whichever is on hand. Then I shade with the same thing. And blend with my finger. Sometimes. (And what do I do when my finger gets black, you ask? Why, lick it off and dry it on my skirt. I'm such a caveman.)

Emily, it's probably not a good idea to lick pencil lead off your finger. I suggest you wash it off with soap and water.

Ha... well, I don't always lick it. But it's not real lead anyway, it's graphite, which is non-toxic. -.-

Here is one of the later pictures, still not that great, but at least a little better than the other one. :P

It might be a little blurry, though, hope it comes out all right........

I'm sorry, Blackberry, it's not showing up.

Mraaaah nooo.

I drew a really cool pic of a girl playing a violin, but it refuses to be scanned. So I will describe it to you:

Blue monochrome, girl with short, lighter-colored hair playing a violin with eyes closed. Glowy blue-white angel wings. Lily in hair, drooping over kinda like it's wilted. In a church, one window illuminating the background. Rice on floor, flowers trampled, crumpled-up balls of paper. There's sand on the floor by the altar.

I'm calling it "Angel of Harmony" for now, but that sounds Really Cheesy. Any ideas?

Supposed to be doing homework, but made this little picture instead. Looks pretty lame.... I call it "Artic Ocean Dreaming of Winter Sky"

Well, I tried adding it in, but all I got was this file nonsense. Why won't it show up?????

You can't copy/paste directly from your computer—you have to upload the image to an image hosting site like photobucket or imgur first, then copy/paste from there. What I do is upload to imgur, open the picture's direct link, then click and drag into the cb's text box. It seems to work okay.

So I was cleaning out my bag (because block break) and I found some old doodles (and by "old" I mean "first block this year when I should probably have been taking better notes instead but I got an A anyway so who cares?") and decided to scan a few because... it's block break. I have nothing better to do!

Fair warning: Some of these are bigger than the CB margins. They are, however, right-click-able.

Wonderland had invaded my consciousness so thoroughly this block that the Hatter is on LITERALLY EVERY PAGE of my notes. SOMETIMES MULTIPLE TIMES. But this is my favorite, because this scene (and this PART of this scene) always makes me squee.

Also, this was my first (and only) try at Jack. Which is why his head looks like a lumpy potatoe and his handcuffed!hands looks so weird.

Firstie!Tom Gaunt with Scylla.

This is not, technically, a classroom doodle, but it took place on the day I got home after drawing the above doodle. Because Firstie!Tom needed a Firstie!Crazy!Bellatrix to keep him company.

For any of you who've ever wondered, hm, I wonder what TNÖ's note pages look like... well, that's kind of creepy of you, for one, and for another, wonder no longer. This is pretty much average. Also: that scribbly nonsense on the last line of actual notes was me going "B:LKJAJ;akjwefoiawnef I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND!"

And THIS is not actually from first block but from Contemporary Drama last year, but it was between two first block pages, so. This is from that period of my life where I averaged an hour or two of sleep per day (which ultimately led to a clinical diagnosis of insomnia, so... yay?) and nothing made sense. At all.

I am literally smirking at the computer right now. I do that to my notes too.

Looks a lot like my notes... only mine are more manga than cartoonish and more Portal/Hetalia/Vocaloid (sometimes all at once) than anything else.

In seventh grade world history, I had the best history/drama teacher ever, yet I doodled in the margins.  I couldn't help it.  The way his classes went, I needed to.  I'm pretty sure that happened in a lot of my seventh grade classes.  I think the habit died last year.  Now, I compulsively read.  Oh, and those doodles look a lot like the inside of my head.  A crazy little jumble that is somehow scary and happy and vapid and intelligent all at the same time.
