Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Emily L. has

Emily L. has already created posts for books and songs that make you cry. I shall now do the same for movies.

I don't usually cry at things, although I did cry at the end of War Horse after the end of the war and Joey and Albert are reunited. Chessy, yeah, but I really loved that movie, since there was both humor and pathos. The only other movie I cried at was Hachi, about the dog that kept on faithfully waiting for his owner. Literally, I think I never cried so much at anything but that movie. I recommend both movies very much.

I cry in a lot of movies. What comes to mind right now:

Cinema Pardisio

The one with Brad Pitt and Aidan Quinn where three brothers in the West are all in love with the same girl.

Titanic

Bella.

I don't know if I actually cried, like, with water, I seem to recall an unbroken record of not crying at movies, but.

Has anyone else seen this movie?

Also, Up.

When first watched 'Chestnut'  I cried even though it's one of my favorite movies.

And in a really old one called 'War and Peace' I think.

#2 Titanic

#3 Secret Life of Bees

#4 Hunger Games

#5 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Oh, and Everinne, I watched Hachi with my mom, and the whole time, I was sobbing and clinging to my dog, (he's an akita, funny enough) and basically flooding the room with tears. But it's still a great movie. And it's so sweet that it's actually a true story.

Oh in Hachi I cried to along with my sisters. And in Red Dog. It was a really good Australian movie but so sad but funny too.

Let's see...

Up.

War Horse.

Lion King when... Spoiler alert... Mufasa dies... Spoiler alert over, though I'm unsure all of you have watched it.

Hunger Games when... Spoiler alert... Rue dies... Spoiler alert over

Hmmm.... There have got to be more.  I'll have a sad movie marathon and the post more later.:)

If you've never read or watched The Little Prince, don't read the next comment.  ~Blue Fairy~ forgot to put a spoiler alert on it.

The Little Prince made me cry at the end even though I knew what was coming because my class read the book and then watched the movie. The movie is so cheesy. People sing whenever they can. But The Little Prince himself was adorable. It made me cry when he died and the pilot heard him laugh.Cry

West Side Story

Showboat

I usually don't cry when seeing movies but there're a few that have mad me tear up and maybe cry. :)

Gladiator *spoiler alert* When he's killed at the end and is reunited with his family... It's so heartbreaking *spoiler alert over*

I Am Legend *spoiler alert* When the dog dies. *Spoiler alert over* This made me cry because my dog was lying next to me not even knowing what was happening and it made me think, what if this happened to him? It was so horrible. I sat there and just couldn't stop crying.

Secret Life of Bees I don't remember why I teared up here but something about it was sad. I guess the whole movie was sad.

The Hunger Games I just teared up. I didn't cry like I did when I read the book.

And then all the sad dog movies that I've seen. They're always really sad because something bad almost always happens to the dogs. I can't stand it.

Elizabeth, you just reminded me of Old Yellar, one of the most tear-wrenching of all time!

Quote No More Dead Dogs by Gordon Korman:

"I knew old Shep was going to die before I started page one," I said.

"Don't be ridiculous," Mr. Fogelman snapped. "How?"

I shrugged. "Because the dog always dies. Go to the library and pick out a book with an award sticker and a dog on the cover. Trust me, that dog is going down."

"Not true!" stormed the teacher.

"Well," I challenged, "what happened to Old Yeller?"

"Oh, all right," he admitted. "So Old Yeller died."

"What about Sounder?" piped up Joey Quick.

"And Bristle Face," added Mike Wrigley.

"Don't forget Where the Red Fern Grows," I put in. "The double whammy--two dogs die in that one."

"You've made your point," growled Mr. Fogelman.

Hahaha...it's true, though...unfortunately Cry

Isn't War Horse just the coolest movie ever? I'm glad a lot of people on here like it because many people I know don't. I'm a horse lover and a history lover and a great fan of most things English so it just fit the bill. (Note: The Devon countryside is sooo pretty. Even though it pours rain there all the time, I now want to move to England.)

Q: Is Titanic really that sad? I mean, besides the whole sinking ship thing? And is it worth seeing?

Definitely!

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. That is one of the only movies I've ever cried in.

Oh, yes, that's another really sad one. And Life Is Beautiful.
