MLP: FIM.Oh,

MLP: FIM.

Oh, come on, I can't really be the only My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fan on the Chatterbox, right?

Well, I'm going to hope no and ask two clichéd questions:

1. Best pony?

2. Thoughts on Equestria Girls?

I am of the same mindset when it comes to friends as Blackberry. I haven't seen this really, other than the occasional the-remote-breaks-stuck-on-this-channel-for-a-day type thing. I personally, didn't care for it. And them turning into HUMANS?! Frankly, it kinda scared me, like grown-up Dora the Explorer. The cute, little toy My Little Ponies, I like. They're pretty, and a neat idea. So I've nothing against My Little Pony, just Equestria Girls is too far.

Apparently, there's now an official summary of Equestria Girls: "My Little Pony Equestria Girls is an exciting new dimension to the incredibly popular MY LITTLE PONY brand. When a crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, Twilight Sparkle pursues the thief into an alternate world where she transforms into a teenage girl who must survive her biggest challenge yet... high school. With help from her new friends, who remind her of Ponyville's Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, she embarks upon a quest to find the crown and change the destiny of these two parallel worlds."

...I'm really glad this is apparently not going to affect the show at all.

(Also, apparently, there are alternate universe versions of all of Twilight's friends but not Twilight herself. How convenient.)

(Also, Spike is a dog, and all of the female characters shown in the trailer--all of them--are underweight. *headdesk*)

Mhm. I would think Pinkie Pie of all people wouldn't be.

Oh, and I really really really really REALLY hope the guy with blue hair isn't a love interest. Even though it's not affecting the show, it just wouldn't be right.

I also hope he's getting proper character development instead of just 'HE'S A HAWT STAR QUARTERBACK  AND HE LOVES LOVES LUUURVES THE HEROINE KTHANKS BYE TIME TO RELEASE THE TRAILER'.

So Hasbro has just posted on Facebook, "“Learn all about the magical parallel universe with high schools instead of castles, where six pony friends become real girls with a love for fun and fashion.”

Fun and fashion.

Ugh. I just... I'm really hoping that this is a case of misaimed marketing. This has so many unfortunate implications I just don't even.
