Would You Rather...

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Would You Rather...

Would You Rather...

Just for fun (and to keep Puddings Place a little more lively) I thought I'd create a Would You Rather game. I'll update the questions every now and again. I also numbered it for easy answering.

First Set--

1. Would you rather...have to defeat Sauron or Voldemort?

2. Would you rather...meet someone from the future or someone from the past?

3. Would you rather...live in Percy Jackson's god-riddled world or Harry Potter's Hogwarts?

4. Would you rather...be a figure from Greek/Roman mythology or Norse mythology?

5. Would you rather...read only one book a year or eat only one thing a year?

6. Would you rather...meet your favorite book character or meet your favorite celebrity?

7. Would you rather...have a star named after you or walk on the moon?

8. Would you rather...find a magic lamp with a Genie to cast wishes or a magic Ring?

9. Would you rather...go back in time to the sinking of the Titanic or to the Civil War?

10. If you had the power, would you rather...go and save your best friend who is imprisioned and in danger of dying or help win the battle that would save your kingdom (assuming you couldn't do both.)

My answers:

1. Defeat Sauron. Heck, then I'd be in Middle Earth!

2. Someone from the past. I feel it would be cooler.

3. In Hogwarts. Hands down.

4. It's a draw. If I had to pick a person, it would be either Helen of Troy or Brynhild the Valkyrie, though.

5. Read only one book--assuming it was very, very long!

6. Well, *snickersnicker,* it would be either Aragorn or Tom Hiddleston--and I somehow would go with Aragorn. Hiddles will be around for many years, in many interviews and movies, but there are no more tales of Middle Earth.

7. Walk on the moon. I always thought it would be cool to go to space.

8. A magic Ring. Because, again, I'd be in Middle Earth.

9. Back to the Titanic--duh.

10. I would save my best friend. Kingdoms come and go, but friendship means so much more.

Enjoy!

1. Voldemort, because Sakura says he looks tastier.

2. I'd rather they'd both stay away, but a future person, most likely. There's not anything in the past that I'd particularly care to meet.

3. Harry Potter, as I detest Percy Jackson.

4. Norse

5. Eat only one thing

6. Favorite book character, considering I know no celebrities whatsoever.

7. I wonder what they would name the star. I'd pick the star, as I have no desire to be an astronaut. If they named the star my human name, I'd be annoyed as heck. I don't think any of the names I go by are star worthy, but, eh, whatever goes.

8. I like the wishes, but I also like the One Ring a lot, so if it was the One Ring, I'd want it. It'd be cool for a collection.

9. Must I go to either? Civil War, as they're was less water involved.

10. Duty first, always.

1. Hmm. Sauron.

2. From the past! Then I'd riddle them with questions about what it was like living in their time, the politics, the poeple they knew, what was happening in the world, what their plans for the future were (well, for instance, if they planned on going on the Organ Trail, or on a Crusade), etc.

3. I don't actually believe in other gods, so Harry Potter. Plus, I wanna fly on a broomstick, and have magic!

4. I haven't really read any Norse mythology. But then again, people from Greek/Roman mythology don't often have happy endings. I guess Greek/Roman because that is also the time Jesus lived.

5. Heaven help me. I guess on read a book a year, cause then I can get someone to read something to me, or get an audio book.

6. Favorite book character, hands down!!! Anne Shirley, Jo March, Katy Carr...

7. Have a star named after me. I've always had an affinity for stars, so having one named after me would be cool. Besides, I have no interest to go to space. It scares me.

8. A Genie. I'd rather have a Genie. Then I could wish I could fly.

9. Oh goodness. This is hard. Both have such interesting attributes. This is also assuming I wouldn't die. Hmm. I'm not sure I could watch the Titanic sink, hearing those people scream, and knowing their fate. With the Civil War, then I could see the United States during that time, get a feel for the real politics, see pictures of Abraham Lincoln, and heck, maybe meet Louisa May Alcott, Harriet Tubman, or Clara Barton!

10. Hmm. In danger of dying? But not absolutely? Go save the kingdom. Maybe that would save my friend.

Um, if you had the one ring, then you would be in trouble. it's evil. you would turn into Gollum. Not kidding.

1. Um.....Voldemort.

2. Past....? I'd rather not see how terrible the future will be. In case you haven't noticed, I'm a pessimist.

3. Hogwarts because Percy Jackson is kind of awful.

4. Greek/Roman.

5. Does this mean I can only eat once a year, or that I can only eat, say, spaghetti for every meal? If it's the former, then definitely. If it's the latter, then books.

6. Does John Green count as a celebrity?

7. A star obviously, because walking on the moon is boring.

8. Uh...a genie?

9. Civil War

10. I'd save my best friend, obviously.

1. Would you rather...have to defeat Sauron or Voldemort?

I haven't finished the Trilogy yet, so I'm going to say Voldemort.

2. Would you rather...meet someone from the future or someone from the past?

Could I choose the person I get to meet from the past? if so, then the past. If I just got to talk to a random person, then I'll take the future.

3. Would you rather...live in Percy Jackson's god-riddled world or Harry Potter's Hogwarts?

HOGWARTS!!!!!! I love PJ but that is not even a question for me.

4. Would you rather...be a figure from Greek/Roman mythology or Norse mythology?

Probably Norse.

5. Would you rather...read only one book a year or eat only one thing a year?

Read one book, duh. If I only ate one thing  year I would be dead and reading any books at all.

6. Would you rather...meet your favorite book character or meet your favorite celebrity?

My favorite book character because if you met your favorite celebrity and they were rude or not what you expected that would be such a let down.

7. Would you rather...have a star named after you or walk on the moon?

A star named after me.

8. Would you rather...find a magic lamp with a Genie to cast wishes or a magic Ring?

What does this magic ring do???? If you took the Genie then you could with for the magic ring and still have more wishes, so that is the most logical answer.

9. Would you rather...go back in time to the sinking of the Titanic or to the Civil War?

The Civil War, as long as I don't have to fight. I'm fascinated by the Titanic, but my biggest fear is deep water and drowning, so yeah.

10. If you had the power, would you rather...go and save your best friend who is imprisioned and in danger of dying or help win the battle that would save your kingdom (assuming you couldn't do both.)

Are they two completly unrelated issues? If they are then my friend.

I find way too many loopholes in these.

1. Umm...Voldemort?

2. Definitely the past.

3. Tough choice! I guess Percy's world.

4. Greek/Roman

5. By eat one thing do you mean you can eat one type of food repeatedly or just once? If you can eat that one type of food repeatedly, I'd choose that. If not, I'd go with the books.

6. Book Character

7. A star named after me

8. A lamp with a Genie

9. Titanic

10. I'd save my best friend!

Sorry, need to clarify two things:

On number 5, you would have to eat the same thing every day. No variety.

On number 10, the two choices are unrelated.

(January 9, 2014 - 7:50 pm)

1. Sauron...LOtR right? Since I'm not sure, Voldy.

2.  The past so I could wow them with Apple technology.  Also I really don't want to know about my future because it would ruin the fun.

3.  Harry Potter.  I'm a bigger PJ fan but I feel like my powers would have more possibilities if I was a HP charrie.

4.  Both categories sound like one big party... I feel like Greek/Roman because Athena seems like an awesome person.

5. Eat only one thing a year.  I could survive on Nutella alone, but not just one book.

6. Book charrie because Willa.

7. Have a star named after me because walking on the moon involves way more physical fitness than I can commit to.

8.  Genie because I want something voiced by Robin Williams singing to me!

9. Titanic because the dresses.  That's how I judge time periods.  By their clothes.  I'm costume director for our next show and it's set in the 50s/60s and I'm so excited!

10. Kingdom because there's more people at stake (sorry Blu)

(January 9, 2014 - 9:44 pm)

1. Voldemort, since he'd be a little boy compared to Sauron! (Sorry, Tommy boy!)

2. Someone from the past, because then, I could give them a ton of information about the future, and then they'd be famous for being psychic!

3.Um...*bites nails furiously* I DON'T KNOW! I think Hogwarts.

4.Norse.. cool.

5. Read only one thing.... very hard to come to admit that, though.

6. My favorite.. celebrity. No book characters could make up for Matt Smith or Johnny Depp.

7. Walk on the moon.

8. A Genie. Then I'd have a friend, too!

9. The.. Titanic I suppose. Less blood, and assuming I had a jetpack to provide an easy escape, there's no way I'd drown.

10. Wow.. this is an enormous Doctor Who questions. How many times has the Doctor made the decision: companion or Gallifrey? He always picked companion. That will never change.

Second Batch of questions:

1. Would you rather...have a movie made out of your book (assuming it was decent like Harry Potter) or act in a different movie yourself?

2. Would you rather...be moored on a deserted island for a year and have to find your food and water or be locked in a tower and have that delivered to you?

3. Would you rather...achieve grand feats worthy of praise or write the songs of praise about those feats?

4. Would you rather...have a winged horse for transportation or a dragon?

5. Would you rather...have Bellatrix Lestrange over for lunch or Saruman?

My answers--

1. Have a movie made out of my book, I think. Acting might be fun, but I'd somehow prefer to be on the stage.

2. Locked in a tower and get served. It seems like it might be easier to escape. While I was there, though, I'd need something to write with. Even the lady of Shalott had her loom.

3. I would like to achieve grand feats. I would so love to be remembered for something good I've done.

4. A winged horse. More comfortable and less amphibian.

5. Saruman. Somehow he would seem less likely to kill me if the lunch turned out badly!

submitted by Everinne, age 14, Deserted Island
(January 16, 2014 - 8:01 pm)

1. Different movie

2. Locked in a tower. I don't know why.

3. Achieve. Always achieve.

4. *stuffs fist in mouth ( I can actually do this) in frustration* Winged horse.

5. Bellatix. she's cooler then Saruman, but if Saruman existed then Middle Earth would, but it would be depressing not to be an Elf. so yeah Bellatrix.

submitted by Gilraen, age 11
(January 21, 2014 - 11:03 am)

1. I'd want to act in a movie.

2. I'd rather be locked in a tower, because a tower is more likely to have wi-fi than a deserted island.

3. I'd rather do amazing things than write about them.

4. DRAGONS DRAGONS DRAGONS. Because a winged horse wouldn't scare the kids at my school.

5. I don't know who Saruman is, so Bellatrix Lestrange.

(January 25, 2014 - 9:45 am)

More sets yay!

1. Depends what movie I got to act in... If it was a movie from one of my favorite books, then yes, but if not, then have my book become a movie.

2. Deserted Island would be much better, I would hate being locked up even if I got food because being in a small space with nothing to do, most likely no minecraft or books, then I would rather survive for a year (Unless the tower came with minecraft and books, or just books, then I would go for the tower). Oh and it also depends on how long I would be locked up for in a tower.

3.  achieve them

4. Now I got to say, Dragons are AMAZING, but not as cool as a Pegasus (also since the Pegasus comes from Greek Mythology and Dragons do not), so the Pegasus would be my choice.

5. Now I know what Bellatrix Lestrange did but... I have no choice but to pick her since I do not know who Saruman is.

Wow, this set sure got me thinking! I never thought about these before.. oh and number five would most likely paralize me just as Medusa would (but not into stone!) since Bellatrix is just horrible... Imagine it, Bellatrix knocking at your door, and you open it.. that would be scary!

1. Sauron for basically the same reason as Everinne

2. FUTURE the things they could tell you...

3. um, hello? HOGWARTS

4. I don't really care as long as they're not extremly foolish or something

5. eat one thing a year. it could be a very big thing!

6. um... I would probrably meet Matt Smith because I have too many favourite book characters. though then again... (i'd have to choose between Legolas and Galadriel, but if I chose one maybe I could see the other....)

7. have a star named after me. then my name would be in history for a very long time.

8. lamp. I've always wanted to ask THE clever wish of the Genie

9. The Titanic as long as I'm not on it.

10. My best friend!!!
