The snow falls

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

The snow falls

The snow falls around your secluded form, shrouded in darkness. Each flake is different in it's way, and you content yourself with watching them dance down to their brethren upon the soiled earth. The cover of trees encircling you are merely silhouetted against the failing light, but you wait. Shivering with cold, your point, old-fashing trench coat just barely keeps in what little warmth you produce.

Nearby I wait, a smirk plastered across my face. "Just a few more to finish off," I coo, glancing at the darkened figure next to me. It stands like a porcelain doll, unmoving. "Go. Go find the remaining victims, and we shall set off."

It steps back into the darkness, leaving behind light footprints in the snow. I smile, hugging myself as I listen over the silence. Sure enough, your scream echoes throughout the lifeless forest, before shutting off quietly. Moments later, it appears next to me. "Take them all to the mansion when you are done." My voice seems out of place in the world.

It simply nods, dragging something behind it. You. You are still alive, but being taken to the mansion. My mansion. It is time to test these Chatterboxers, and find my new puppets.

Alright! There is no packing for this 'Horror Ski Lodge!' You can take whatever tools you have on you, and they might help you prevail in the future!

I will be using dice to determine who dies, who succeeds an action, and ect.

This is not your average Ski Lodge, and I will warn you. This is going to be one scary ride.

Continued~

It seemed to happen in slow motion. The room and hallway lurched forward again, the biggest one yet. Everyone went flying forward and began pouring over one another. Screams filed the air and the uncomfortable grunts of chatterboxers being smashed were dulled by the contiuing thuds, that got worse and quickened each time.

Thud.

People began sorting out their tangled mess.

Thud.

Shadow, Ruby, and HAB tried to scramble into the clogged hallway.

Thud.

The room began detaching from the hall.

Thud.

The hallway suddenly lifted into the air, leaving a dark space between the two. Ruby reached for Shadow's hand, but it had inched to far away, and was getting further.

He felt his stomach sinking, and then without a moment more of hesitation, he jumped.

Shadow's fingers grazed his fingertips before their hands interlocked. She grabbed behind her, grasping Mirax's shirt. Who, in response, let out a squeak and grappled in front of her for someone else.

As the line went on, Shadow managed to pull Ruby up until he could grasp an edge.  She gasped for breath as Ruby finished pulling himser up while the hallway continued to glide through darkness.

"That was so close! I'm glad you're okay!" Arabella gasped, detangling herself from Phantom.

Ruby nodded at her, and then at Shadow in thanks.

His words were cut off by a scream.

"IT'S SIR GALAHAD!"

"Wait what?!" Joan freaked out and began shoving towards the front of the line.

"And ballet!" Sho added, almost weeping in relief.

"But they were dead! Galahad was dead!" Theo retorted.

Phantom, way in the back, could only hear the frenzied voices, but couldn't see. So they shoved his(?)way to the front while Mirax began to move people away from the end of the hall.

She(?) didn't see anyone.

Anyone living, that is.

What they saw was puppets built in the likeness of their dear friends. "NO! GET AWAY FROM THEM! THEY ARE THE PUPPETS!"

"WAIT MIRAX? You were dead!!!" Shoshanna stared dumbfoudedly at the girl, to oblivious to notice the siilarites she  bared to a wooden doll.

By the time she did realize, her hand was already in it's. She didn't even have time to think before she was gone. Nobody saw the puppet pull her over the edge and into the abyss.

Everybody, however, saw the approaching marionettes who had them cornered.

Nice installment. So suspenseful... I like that this shifts away from the "traditional" ski lodge method, where one person is a murderer and the rest live in suspicious fear (heh). I don't even know if there is a murderer at this point.

Shot in the dark here: I think the murderer, if there is one, might be Ruby...
