Art stuff thread starting...NOW! If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff! I would love to see other people's art so post away! They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff. You can use any media, including digital, like I do! Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other. Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN! If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing. Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from. You don't have to be polished with your art. I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon. I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why. I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that. If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

I just wanted to say that the art you posted a couple pages back is so pretty and well-drawn!! and would it be okay if I asked you to make another phone lock screen picture for me? I do understand if you don't want to, but I'd love to have one!
Oh and also, just in case you haven't seen it yet, I asked you for a picturing on the Ultimate Picturings thread... (I totally understand if you don't want to do that either, though! :)) )

usually I draw basic circles (as shown in the picture) to plan out the form of the dragon. I then connect the circles, also shown. Wings are pretty hard to figure out but look amazing once you get the hang of it. I just skip basic shapes for the wings and draw light, long, slightly curved strokes for the 'fingers' and 'arm'. Connect each of the 'fingers' with a curved stroke, the length and position depending on the wing's position (for partially closed wings like the example dragon, start the stroke on the very tip of the 'finger' farthest out, then end it a little bit up the 'finger'. this creates the effect of a slack, relaxed wing membrane and looks quite cool.)
for the best curved-stroke effect, turn the paper so the natural curving movement of your pencil works to your advantage.
for talons, I sometimes make the back talons more animal-like, while the front talons are more 'human' (as human as dragon talons can be). For a talon holding something, use your own hand for a reference, because hands are impossibly hard to accurately draw.
overall, use the attached drawings for reference and a guide.

I don't draw dragons that often, but I'd suggest looking at different types of lizards for reference because dragons are really just fancy lizards haha (for example, maybe a komodo dragon for a Mudwing or a bearded dragon for a Rainwing). it also helps to break the body into shapes before you add details.

this is a quick sketch (also might be my hallowee costume this year :D) ignore the extra head, i accidentally drew it too high up and couldn't erase it because it's in pen. also if it gets cut off the word at the top says "PRIVATEER"
FL, I'm deleting the name of the show you mentioned because it's rating is too mature for Chatterbox.
