HAMILTON!!!!!

Ok, so about two weeks ago I started listening to Hamilton and now I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED!!!!! You all need to listen to it. I'm serious; it's sooooooo good oh my goshness even if bits are a bit... explicit... anyways... The music is just soooo amazing and beautiful and sad and awesome and intense and hilarious and oh my gosh I can't even say how much I love it. I'm completely obsessed and I've memorized a few of the songs and I should probably stop talking because I could go on and on forever about its awesomeness; you definitely need to listen to it!!!!

Quick survey:

1. Favourite song: You can't make me answer that.

2. Least favourite song: Farmer Refuted (UUURGH SO ANNOYING)

3. Favorite character: Hamilton Laurens and Lafayette

4. Least favourite character: Samuel Seabury and Charles Lee actually nevermind Charles Lee is hilarious but Seabury is sooo annoying.

5. Wow I just ran out of questions this is a really sad survey: Yup :)

@OtR: I think you should definitely try to get tickets to Hamilton in your town, even if it is not with the orginal cast. You will probably regret not attempting to see it if you don't when it comes.

I believe that deep inside, all Hamiltonians want to see the musical. And of course, when they dream of it, they dream of it with the original cast. But it's impossible for some of them to see it in NYC with the original cast. Still, if it's going to come to your town, you should definitely go for it! Imagine how amazing it would be to SEE what's going on. And you know, "Tomorrow There'll Be More of Us" is not included on the album, so you might actually be able to hear it.

Now I'm not saying to get your hopes up, because...you know how hard it is to get tickets. But at least try. Or look into it.

What? THERE IS A SONG THAT IS NOT ON THE ALBUM?!? WHAT IS THE MEANING PF THIS?!?!?!?

Seriously, ther's another song? When in the musical does it happen? That is so crazy, because I thought that the soundtrack fit together so well...**sigh**

But, tell me about this song! Please! I beg of you!

Oh yeah I think I heard about the new song that's not in the soundtrack. I think it's called "Tomorrow there'll be more of us." I think it's when Hamilton finds out that Laurens dies.

What is the meaning of this?!?!?! Mr. Burr, get a medic for the general.

Yes sir!

Lee, you will never agree with me but believe me these young men don't speak for me. Thank you for your service.

Let's ride!

Hamilton?

Sir?

Meet me inside!!! (meet him inside, meet him inside, meet him inside, meet him, meet him inside)

...

Ha sorry that's just what I thought when I saw you say "What is the meaning of this?"

...

Son.

Don't call me son.

This war is hard enough withought infighting.

Lee called you out we called his bluff.

You solve nothing, you aggravate our allies to the south.

You're absolutely right, John should've shot him in the mouth. That would've shut him up.

Son

I'm notcha son

Watch your tone I am not a maiden in need of defending, I am grown!

Charles Lee, Thomas Conway, these men take your name and they rake it through the mud!

Well my name's been through a lot, I can take it!

Well I don't have your name I don't have your titles I don't have your land, But if you

NO

If you gave me command of a battalion, a group of men to lead, I could fly above my station, After the war

OR you could die and we need you alive

I am more than willing to die

Your wife needs you alive, son, I need you alive

CALL ME SON ONE MORE TIME!!!!

Go home, Alexander. That's an order, from your commander.

Sir?

GO HOME...

Wow I typed all of that?

I have memorized and can rap/sing (except for those high notes):

Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, Sir, My Shot, Story of Tonight, Schuyler Sisters, Seabury's part of Farmers Refuted (ugh, you Loyalist. :P), You'll Be Back (of course), Winter's Ball, Helpless, Satisfied (this song, along with My Shot was one of the most satisfying to do. I mean that, didn't just say it for the sake of the pun. Gosh, I love doing Angelica!), Story of Tonight, (I mean, it's so short...but I never sing it anyway), Stay Alive, Ten Duel Commandments, Meet Me Inside, That Would Be Enough (one of the most beautiful songs), History Has Its Eyes On You, Dear Theodosia, Cabinet Battle #1 (love doing that one -- both parts!), Schuyler Defeated (also a short one. more of a scene, anyway.), Cabinet Battle #2, Burn (aaaaaaaagh).

This doesn't mean I don't make mistakes however.

Most of Non-Stop, What'd I Miss, Yorktown, Take A Break.

How can anyone memorize One Last Time, with that excerpt from Washington's actual Farewell letter?

I know the lyrics to Guns & Ships, but halfway through I get all tongue-tied! HOW do you rap like that, Daveed? HOW?! (Btw, that song got fastest musical theater song of the year, of course.)

Let's play a lyric guessing game! You guys know how that works! It'll probably be especially easy for you, Owlgirl.

So, finish this lyric and name the song it's from:

Careful how you proceed, good man,

Answer or prepare to bleed, good man...

Hey, I know that one! It's my favorite song!
It's "Your Obediant Servant"!

This isn't on my "memorized" list...the most memorable thing is "Weehawken. Dawn. Guns. Drawn." *beat* "Your're on." I would also like to say how EVERY TIME I marvell at how furious Burr sounds at the beginning; it gives me goosebumps: his voice is so quiet, and it's not piped up like Hamilton, but it's...it's emanating anger, gushing anger, this kind of controlled fury. It makes Burr almost a little scary.

But I will try this!

I know it ends in good man....(btw I forgot he said "answer or prepare to bleed"

Is it something like..."Answer for the accusation I lay at your feet, or prepare to (something that ryhmes with  "eet") good man...

Heh. Turns out I didn't post the right lyrics anyway. The verse actually goes :

Careful how you proceed, good man

Intemperate indeed, good man

Answer for the accusations I lay at your feet or

Prepare to bleed, good man

So, nevermind!

HALFWAY THROUGH HAMILTON AND FANGIRLING ALREADY!

I have intentionally not been reading your comments on this, because I don't want any spoilers.

I am on Cabinet Battle #1 this very moment.

Honestly, I didn't think I would like Hamilton.

And I am not, by nature, a fangirly person. Actually, I can't think of anything at the moment besides this soundtrack that I fangirl over. Not even Lunar Chronicles. Not even Harry Potter. I love those books, but I don't fangirl. Maybe it's because it's music?

What I am trying to say is: if I'm fangirling, you can bet that it's something pretty worthwhile.

So good.

*gasps*

Hamilton's ending line though, and how the crowd just goes wild, and Washington is like "Take a walk." I wonder who will win this Cabinet Battle. I will actually wait to finish posting until the song is over.

That laugh Jefferson did just now after "You don't have the votes." A-ha-haa-ha-ha."

*waits*

Okay, so Hamilton won.

Yes, I love it when Jefferson laughs!!! Actually, I love almost all of his lines!!! ('Cause if ya don't know, now ya know, Mr. President)

I just found out that Angelica originally had another song! It was called "Congratulations," and it came between "The Reynolds Pamphlet" and "Burn."

I think it is super unfair that Angelica, an awesome character had a song cut!\

Opinions?
