HAMILTON!!!!!

Ok, so about two weeks ago I started listening to Hamilton and now I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED!!!!! You all need to listen to it. I'm serious; it's sooooooo good oh my goshness even if bits are a bit... explicit... anyways... The music is just soooo amazing and beautiful and sad and awesome and intense and hilarious and oh my gosh I can't even say how much I love it. I'm completely obsessed and I've memorized a few of the songs and I should probably stop talking because I could go on and on forever about its awesomeness; you definitely need to listen to it!!!!

Quick survey:

1. Favourite song: You can't make me answer that.

2. Least favourite song: Farmer Refuted (UUURGH SO ANNOYING)

3. Favorite character: Hamilton Laurens and Lafayette

4. Least favourite character: Samuel Seabury and Charles Lee actually nevermind Charles Lee is hilarious but Seabury is sooo annoying.

5. Wow I just ran out of questions this is a really sad survey: Yup :)

Nope. I don't think it's really a loss. Because I have Hamiltome, and I was reading Lin's annotations, and he believes it was for the better. He made a lot of good decisions with this show. Here is what he said, on the annotation for when Angelica starts singing in R. Pamphlet:

"This was originally part of a longer tune titled "Congratulations". It came between "The Reynolds Pamphlet" and "Burn," but we realized the audience desperately wanted to see Eliza's reaction, so I folded the best parts of it into "The Reynolds Pamphlet." I love how different it is from everything else in this section. It contributes to the feeling that the world is crashing, pathos within celebration within schadenfreude."

If Lin says okay, I say okay.

And if you notice, at the end of R. Pamphlet, the tune of the piano in the beginning of Burn is heard.

Ya, the Reynolds Pamphlet is supposed to run into Burn like one song, like the Ten Duel Commandments and Meet Me Inside... I think the R. Pamphlet goes really well right before burn, and I really love Angelica's part when she goes back into Satisfied.

Schadenfreude... that's an extremely excellent word...
