This is also a really good story ...

And here's something interesting: Goats get in trees by means of personal, color-coordinated trampolines. B-)

(Lol no that's just a thing from a game I play. They hop from branch to branch).

Reading this whole thing takes a long, long time...

Hmm. People are at the farm, the sign, the library, and the ice cream shop. I guess I'll go to the park!

It's early morning, so there aren't many people at the park besides a very old man who is out on a walk.

You walk up to him and say, "Hi. I'm Marie and this is Vikki."

He nods in a friendly manner. "Hello, girls."

You ask him, "Do you need any help going where you're going?"

He smiles and says, "No thank you, but I wouldn't mind the company. I'm going to see my wife."

You two walk with him. His steps are very slow and he leans heavily on a cane. "Who is your wife?" you ask.

"Her name is Harriet. She's the sweetiest, spunkiest woman I've ever met. I love her something fierce."

Presently, you come upon what appears to be a smaller park behind Samsa Park. "Why are there two parks?" Vikki asks, before you both notice the gravestones that dot this park's lawn.

The old man leads you to a portion of the cemetary where a stone says

Harriet

Beloved Wife and Daughter

1941-2012

The man reaches into his pocket and produces an old photograph. "Here she is," he says, and shakely hands his treasured photo to you. A woman with a bush of brown hair and a red dress grins at the camera. The picture is old and faded and she must be in her twenties or thirties. A messy, scratchy writing in the corner says "Love you always, Sean".

You hand the picture back to him. "She looks like she was wonderful, Sean," you say.

Vikki says, "I would have loved to have known her."

He smiles and puts the photo away with great care. "She would have loved you two as well."

Okay, well, here's three random things. These were actually kinda fun to look up =)

Water is the only known substance on Earth that exists naturally in all three forms (solid, liquid, and gas)

In 1991, on the uninhabited Hawaiian island of Nikumaroro, a piece of aluminum was found that researchers now suspect may have been a part of Amelia Earhart's plane. Many other strange items have been found on the island including a zipper and buttons from a flight jacket which may have also belonged to Earhart.

The Pebble Time, a smartwatch, is the most funded Kickstarter project in history, with over $20,300,000 donated as of right now. That's more than it cost to build the White House, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the Eiffel Tower combined.

Thanks HAB! Sorry I haven't really done anything for this challenge. But, just for the fun of it, I will now post three random things as well!

Draco Malfoy's (original, obviously he had to get a new one after Harry got his) wand is made of Hawthorn wood with a unicorn tail hair core. According to notes written by both Garrick Ollivander and Gregorovich, Hawthorn wands prefer complex and intriguing witches and wizards, especially those with deeply conflicting natures or are in a state of great turmoil. Rather interesting isn't it, that Draco's wand chose to change its allegiance at the time it did.

There is more candy mentioned in Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone than any of the other books.

And now, a non-HP themed fact!

Percy is reeeeeealy tired of Auqaman jokes.

I run towards the fountain.

You and St. Owl arrive at the fountain and its roundabout with shops. Some stores are getting set up and ready for the day. You recognize Bernadette and Rebecca, the owners of the bakery, because you had seen them talking with B&B (can I call you bed and breakfast from now on?) and HAB.

You walk over and say, "Hi, Bernie."

She seems suprised. "Why, hello. I don't think we've met before."

"We haven't," you say, "I'm Mei-xue and this is St. Owl. I know who you are because balletandbow and hotairballoon learned your names."

She looks somewhat puzzled. "Nice to meet you both. I'm sorry, I don't know who those people are."

Now it's your turn to be surprised. "Remember? They were some of the new kids in town. You went and showed them the sign at the end of the world."

"No," she says. "I don't remember that at all. I've heard a little about you two new girls- and you're the only new kids that have been here for weeks."

Challenge 5 has ended.

-Correct Answers were Given by-

hotairballoon AND balletandbow

Mei-xue and St.Owl

Thanks for the facts, guys! I really enjoyed this challenge, and I hope you did too. We're going to turn the heat up just a little bit now...

Well, not really, because I'm going away to camp for two weeks, so I'm not going to be able to check as much. I'll post at night, but any inquiries during the day I won't see until later. So the next two week's challenges will be pretty easy. No weird math nonsense.

Or will there be.

You've almost met most of the characters I've planned, so don't worry about "Oh my god, there are so many people in this town!" Yeah, there are a lot of people, but not all of them go out and about, so you've met most of the main people.

-Clue #5-

There are many, many worlds and many, many towns.

*considers whether or not to bore you guys out with animal stuff* Nah... here's some new, random facts to chew on (kudos if you get that reference).

The Ghost Army was a special team in World War II that deceived the Nazis with fake messages, inflatable tanks, etc.

Toe-wrestling almost became an Olympic sport

There is a large crater in central Asia, called the Door to He"ck", that is full of methane gas burning for over 40 years.

Kokopelli, a famous character from the magazine Muse, is a real deity that is hornored by some Native Americans tribes. He has the same name, basic appearance, and personality (without the flying pies).

There is a large cult named Koreshan based in Florida that thinks the Earth is hollow and we are living inside it.

The new type of shark, Ninja Latern, was named by the discoverer's little cousins who liked the specie's black color and bioluminescent spots (yes just one animal thingy???)

Porcupines will eat the old shedded antlers of deer, which are full of vitamins and minerals (okie two animal thingies???)

The largest amount of remembered and receited digits of pi is 70,000, which took roughly ten hours to repeat (next person to break that record: Mei-Xue of the CB!)

Yeah I know that was more than 3 but I couldn't choose.

----

"Aw," I say, "Dusty's pretty." I reach into my pocket, wondering if I might have a small apple in there to feed it. As I pull my hand out, I accidentally knock out the map of "The Town."

It falls to the floor, and I quickly bend over to pick it up before Mikayla asks what it is. As I brush some hay pieces of it, I notice something I didn't see before.

"The Island!" I exclaim anxiously, poking Savvy. "I totally forgot about that place, but now--yes, islands usually have something weird going."

I calmly turn to Mikayla. "Well, it was nice meeting you and seeing your farm, but I think we gotta get going soon. Can we say goodbye to your mom on the way out?"

I plan to ask her when night falls, and if there's any transportation to the piers.

--Challenge 6--

-Environment-

You and your partner, along with the rest of the CBers who are actually paying attention (:P) wake up in a sitting room. It is a very old and dusty sitting room and contains a large number of knick-knacks, wax fruit, and little delicate furniture that hurts like aything if you bang your shin on it.

Two old ladies, one about seventy and the other old as the hills, sit in rocking chairs, furiosly drinking tea and strong black coffee and discussing old times long gone.

Surprisingly, the new challenge isn't in your pocket.

"The scientist is going out of town," the younger of the two women says, "so we've got to give you the challenge. It figures."

-Prompt-

She continues, "Write a limerick about..."

The older woman croaks, "Candy. Make it about candy."

-Due Date-

"And have it done by Monday morning."

submitted by Ruby M.
(June 17, 2016 - 12:37 am)

Limmericks? Candy? This I can do.

I unwrap my sugary treat,

And swiftly I begin to eat

I eat more and more,

sell out candy stores,

and soon I can't see my own feet.

-----------

On Halloween, I trick-or-treat

I always get candy to eat

once I was so happy

that I ate the wrapping

I had to stay home then, you see.

------------

I just got a whole lot of chocolate!

I tried to store it in my pocket!

Yet it melted so quick,

it started to drip,

and flow everywhere like a faucet.

----------

I wrote 3, just in case. I don't know if those are good or not. Whatever!

Continueing...

"Do you take knuts? I ask the ice cream lady, fingering the different coins in my pocket."

"Nuts?" She asks.

"Hmmm...I thought not, here," I reply, searching through a layer of glimmering gold galleons to find two, small, unmarked and mysterious ruby-colored coins.

"Here...I'll have two scoops of Blue Moon ice cream..." but then the world is whisked away from under my feet. Drat, I think, I was too busy getting ice cream that I forgot all about the challenge...
