~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For some, that letter probably sounded familiar...I the Phantom, have officialy reopened the Hallows Eve Hotel and anyone here is welcome to join us! I, the Phantom, first officicially opened the Hallows Hotel to the good citizens of CB last October. After some...shall we say, unforunate incidents. Some people left our numbers. Something to do with...over spicyness? Hmm...anyhoo! Everyone is welcome! We will arrive tomorrow evening, where I will make introductions. And no, you do not have to arrive tomorrow, that is when room arrangements will be made. You can arrive anytime and will be welcome! We need a minimum of 6 to get this going, and there is no liit to who can join! AEs welcome!
Note from the writer: Hey crew! For those of you that were here last time the Hotel was opened, you know that I cut the story a little short (headdesk). And unfortunanlty, some of our fellow guests from then have since left the CB:( But for those of you that wish to join again, I was going to ask you. We can either ignore last year's storyline and start fresh, or we can put it in a setting that corresponds to the events of last year, except I can make it so that maybe everyone went home after the hotel murders, and came back this year or something. I don't know. I need input!
Day 5, Part
2:
Sweet tea
was cutting through the air at break neck speeds. She had the quaffle under one
arm, she was hanging on to her broom with the other arm, and she was weaving
past Room 4's chasers. she looked around, her teammate, Pepper Star was closing
in fast from the right, and The Artist was flying directly ten feet above her.
“And Sweet
Tea has the quaffle ladies and gentlemonsters!” Boomed The Phantom over the
loudspeaker. “But wait, she’s got some company!”
Sweet Tea
looked around, sure enough, she saw Room 4's chasers, Gossomer and Burt, flying
close behind her. She sped up a little. She was so close to the goal! But just
then, she saw a flash out of the corner of her eye, and looking to her left,
she saw the third chaser, Lilycat' shooting towards her, Sweet Tea swerved to
the right, but Lilycat still managed to knock the quaffle from Sweet Tea’s arms
as she passed by. The quaffle fell  into
open air for two seconds before it was caught by Burt, who instantly started
flying towards Room 2's goal.
“Oooh! And
Burt steals the quaffle from Sweet Tea and is flying away!” Sweet Tea slapped
her knee in frusteration. She wheeled around, and started to fly after Burt.
“That was a
great attempt by sweet Tea, but she didn’t quite make it.” Said the Phantom.
Sweet Tea shot
after Burt and flew up on his tail. Just then, a dark streak whizzed through
the air past Sweet Tea’s broom and a bludger crashed into Burt, who’s broom
jarred violently with the impact, in the process dropping the Quaffle. It was
grabbed by The Artist, who in turn began to fly it back to the other goal. Sweet
Tea looked around to see Chester, waving his club around and yelling incoherent
things in celebration.
“Buyakasha!’ She yelled at him, giving him a thumbs up.
The Artist passed the ball back to Sweet Tea, who passed it
to Pepper Star, who in turn threw the Quaffle into the goal.
“Fifty points for Room 2!” The Phantom shouted in excitement.
The various guests and monsters that were in the bleachers roared with
applause.
The next play, Zaiden had the quaffle. He flew at Room 4's
goal, but he was hit by a bludger (Which Waffle had hit with her bat) to the
shoulder and dropped it. It was caught by Gossamer, who threw it into Room 2's
goal.
All the while, though, Chester (who was the seeker for room
two) and Indigo (Room 4) were shooting through the air, chasing the small,
glimmering flash that was the golden snitch. they weaved through the air,
dodging bludgers, some players, even a randomly flying pie....Hmm. Anyway,
they flew throuigh the air. The snitch, all of a sudden, started flying
directly upwards into the sky. Indigo and Chester bolted after it. They were
neck and neck, their brooms almost bumping into each other. The Sntich was
flying almost a foot out of reach. Indigo reached for it, almost grabbing hold
of it. But the snitch increased in speed just enough to get out of her grasp.
Just then the snitch changed directions again, this time flying over the forest. Indigo and Chester flew after it. Chester was flying as fast as he could. He was bent low over his broom, wind blasting him in the face.  He watched as all of a sudden the snitch flew down into the woods.
"Are you serious?!?" He shouted as he flew aftger it. Indigo had taken the lead now, ad was five yards ahead of Chester. Chester flew down, up, and around branches. He spun past a terrified bird, and then flew back above the woods again. Indigo, who still had the lead, was close to the snitch, which was flying back towards the stadium. Indoigo reached out with her hand, only inches away form it. Chester desparetely sped up even more until he was even with her. They were both grabbing at hte snitch now.  It was slowing down almost in grasp when... WHAM! A bludger came flying out of nowhere and slammed into both Indigo and Chester.  They  desparately tried to hang onto their brooms, yet at the same time the two of them were descending through the air in a slowed,yet still fast, freefall. Finally the two of them crashed ito the ground. They rolled quite aways before stopping.
Chester sat up slowly, dazed. He looked over at Indigo, who had also managed to sit up and was slowly getting ot her feet. Chester felt something hard under him, so he got onto his knees and looked. There was the snitch. Looking rather squashed now, but still recognizable. Chester picked it up. The crowd roared.
"And what a marvellous race for the Snitch by the seekers of room one and two!" The PHantom boomed. "The victory, however, goes to room 2!" The crowd was standing in their seats, applauding and cheering for the two rooms.
Indigo got up and wetnt over to Chester, high fiving him.
""G-good game!" Chester said in between gasps for air. "That was fun!"
"Yeah! It was!" Indigo laughed. "I was- LOOK OUT!" She yelled, tackling Chester onto the ground as a black streek flew over their heads. Indigo and Chester looked in horror as one of the bludgers, which should have automatically gone back to The Phantom to be put away until the next match, was shooting aimlessly around. It smashed into one of the supports of the gand stand (Fortunately none was present in that certian area) sending that section collapsing into the ground. The bludger then flew at the crowd, people jumped out of the way as it flew by, it missed everyone the first time, but then it turned and flew back a second time. Everyone ran for cover, but not everyone ran fast enough. Indigo and Chester wathced in horror as the bludger flew straight at Brookeira and Lilycat, who were running side by side. Just then Brookeira turned around, seeing the bludger, she grabbed Lilycat's arm and tried to jump, but it was to late. The bludger was a foot away form Brookeira's back, when there was a loud popping sound, and the bludger vanished along with Brookeira and Lilycat. All at the same time.  Indigo and Chester looked at each other, dumbfounded. The murderer had struck again.
R.I.P. Brookeira and Lilycat. Or is it?
Day 6, All Hallow’s
eve morning. Final day~
 It was
seven o'clock. Daisy had been awake for quite some time. A strange noise in the
walls had kept her awake. IT sounded like voices, but she couldn’t quite tell
for sure. She had her ear up against the wall, and was listening intently. She
had walked all over the room trying to tell where the sound was coming from,
and she finally found it. it was in the south end of the room. She still had
her face pressed to the wall when she heard another noise from the wall, it
sounded like...
Daisy heard
movement behind her. She wheeled around and saw Misty and Ditto, both of
which were climbing down from her bunk.
"Oh,
hey misty! Hey Ditto!" She said, quickly getting up from the floor.
"Good
morning!" Said Ditto. "Is everything all, right? What were you
doing?"
"Oh, nothing.
I thought I heard something, but it's nothing. You ready to grab some
breakfast?"
"Sure."
aid Misty. The three of them started towards the door. "Are you sure everything’s
all right?"
"Oh, yes!
It's nothing, honest."
"Okay
then..."
But Daisy
cast one last glance back at the wall. Could it be...no, that's
impossible.
She thought to herself.
~~~

  At
the breakfast table, it was chaos as usual.  AE's were throwing food,
ghost staff were flying around, serving breakfast, and talking to the guests,
and a couple of dragons were frantically trying to put out a small fire that ad
started in one of the draperies. Another day on vacation! She, misty, and Ditto
sat down with Fia, Waffle, Zaiden, and Surprise.

"And
what are our flavorful offerings today?" Asked Fia. when they all had
gotten settled.

"Let's see..."
Said Misty. "Ah, here we are. Eggs served ogre-easy, Huorn and poison ivy
fruit salad, granola parfait with Greek's head yogurt, and Screambrulee
and an after-breakfast desert."

"Oo,
sounds delicious!" Just then a ghostly waiter flew over.

"Are
you kind people ready for is to deliver your breakfast?"

"Yes we
are, thank you." Said Daisy. The waiter bowed...er...it looked like a bow.
It's hard to tell with ghosts. Then it flew away to get a tray for them.

While they waited,
the group of friends talked amongst themselves about the hotel stay. While they
talked however, they were unaware that the murderer was closely. Close that any
of them thought was possible.

Soon, the
waiter returned to their table, and set down the tray of food onto the table.
It smelled wonderful. They all started voraciously devouring the meal. After
they had finished, the waiter came back and took away the tray, then everyone
talked some more.

Finally, at
ten o’clock on the hour, on cue, and for the last time, The Phantom exploded
into the hall with a cloud of red smoke. Everyone cheered. The Phantom roared
with laughter and waved his arms in thanks. Once the crowd had settled down
again, the Phot began to speak.

“Thank you
all!” he said, still laughing. “Thank you! It has been my honor to host this
year’s annual stay at The Hollow’s Eve Hotel! I hope you all have enjoyed it.” Evelyne
applauded again. “Thank you! Well, I thank you all for being here! It has been
fun. Now, I would like to announce today’s final activities. First, we will be

On this
hunt, you will be given a list of items to search for in and around the
castle. This will be an all-day event, and then we will finish the day
with a Halloween party to celebrate. Now, my staff members will now hand
out the list of items, and then you all can start!"

The staff
members floated around the room, handing out lists. Zaiden looked at his.

"Whoa,
some of this stuff looks hard! A dragon's tooth, a mummies’ bandage, a stone
from the castle's secret passages, a that's some of the easier stuff." He
folded the list up and stuck it in his pocket.

"Okay
then!" Said the Phantom. "If everyone’s ready, I'll announce the
teams." As the Phantom began to explain the teams and rules, Zaiden leaned
over to Daisy.

"What's
the matter?" He asked in a whisper.

"Nothing,
why?" She asked.

"You've
been looking at the ceiling. Oh man, did poor Charles try to fix the
plumbing for Rom 2 again?" Zaiden strained his ears, trying to hear any
sound from up above.

"No,
no, no! Nothing like that. It's just...well...come here." She gestured
Zaiden closer and Egan whispering in his ear. His eyes widened.

"So!
Meet outside in the front at exactly eleven thirty on the double and we'll
get this party started!" The Phantom finished.

                                                        ~~~~~~
   Waffle
was standing next to a huge cave inside of which was the first item on her and
her team's list. A dragon's tooth. Waffle was teamed up with Indigo, September,
and Stan. They stood at the entrance, considering the blackness of the hollow
cavern. from deep inside, they heard a small, but still ominous, rumble of the
dragon's snores.
"Sooo..."
Said Stan. "Who's going in first?" Everyone quickly took a step
backwards, leaving Stan the closest to the entrance. Fia tossed a flashlight to
him. "Awww." He said. A particularly loud growl echoed from
the cavern.
"Good luck!"
Indigo said. Stan trudged inside. is flashlight beam being bright at first, but
then it gradually got smaller until the beam disappeared entirely.
Stan shone his
beam around the cave. It was much bigger than he had thought, and it went much
farther back than they had thought. He kept walking over the stony
floor until he came to a fork. After listening to the snores a second, he
decided to head left. As he walked through the chambers, he started to
pass some animal bones and some shredded scales. He knew he was getting close.
He estimated that he was about three hundred yards from the entrance. He
finally came to a large room-like opening. The walls of the cave rose forty
feet into the air to the dome shaped ceiling.
It was one
of the most incredible things that Stan had ever seen, there were huge piles of
gold coins everywhere, just like you picture with a dragon's cavern. but the
most incredible thing was laying on top of the coins. A massive, blue, coiled
up mass was fast asleep not thirty feet from where Stann stood. It's back was
lined with spikes all the way down to its tail, and it had large, scaly, bat
like wings that were wrapped around it in sleep. As Stan stood there in awe, he
happened to glimpse something white to his right. He looked, to his great joy,
saw a neat pile of white, glittering teeth. Taking another look at the
dragon, Stan surmised that he must have been a young dragon, still in the process
of getting its adult teeth. Then, he made a bad mistake, he took one step
towards the teeth, planning to collect one and leaving the rest for the other
scavenger haunters. But as soon as he had taken a step, his foot kicked a small
gold brick, sending it clattering through the piles of coins. The dragon moved
a bit, and then to Stan's horror, started to unravel itself until it was at
full length. He told up, his yellow eyes angrily staring down at Stan.
"Oh
poof." Said Stan.
Back outside
if the cave, the rest of Stan's team sat outside, patiently waiting and
worrying.
"Um,
should we check on him?" Aske Waffle.
"Maybe,
we'll give him a couple of seconds longer." Said Riddler.
Just then,
they herd tremendous roar, then a yell from the inside of the cave.
“Then again,
maybe we should go in right now.” Riddler yelped.
“Let’s go!”
Said Waffle. They friend charged into the cave. While they ran, they saw bright
flashes of light coming from deeper in the cave. Soon, they rounded a corner to
see Stan himself, a flashlight clutched in one hand, a long white object clutched
in the other.
“You got the
tooth!” Indigo exclaimed joyously. “Great job!”
He stopped
next to them. “Thanks!” He said, smiling. He puffed up his chest. “It was touch
and go there for a minute, but after some careful planning and, if I do say so
myself, clever-“
“RROOOOAR!”
The roar of the dragon reverberated off the walls, the dragon was getting
close.
Stan jumped.
“You know what, I’ll just tell you later. RUN FOR IT!” He yelled. The group of
them charged pell mell out of the cave, the dragon not far behind the whole
way, until finally, they came out the other side of the cave into the sun. they
don’t stop until they were on the woods at a safe distance.
Indigo
pointed at some low branched trees. Silently, the group of friends climbed up
into the branches until they were about thirty feet up, and could see the
clearing with the cave. Suddenly, the dragon burst out of the cave into the
sunlight. It was a beautiful creature. It’s shining blue scales gleamed in the
sun, it’s glue wings spread out, and his mouth opened, letting lose a blast of
fire. It looked around briefly, then turned around and went back into its cave
to finish its nap. Everyone felt relieved.
“Okay!
Everyone out of the tree! We’ve got a lot more to do!” Riddler said. Everyone
quickly climbed down. Waffle whooped with glee and jumped from her perch.
It was an
awesome day. They got to raid a mummies’ den, explore secret passages inside of
the castle, and climb a giant predatory plant. It was evening by the time they
were close to done. They were all exhausted and excited at the same time. They
were currently hiking along a small trail in the woods near the castle.
September was holding the list in her hands, studying it carefully. After a
while, she folded the list up, put it back in her pocket, pumped her fists in
the air, and whooped.
“Wave only
got one more thing left!” She said.
“Awesome!”
Said Fia. What is it?”
“It is
treasure. There’s a lake nearby the castle. I guess its buried there. The map
said bring back a piece of jewelry or a coin. Just follow the path.” They
continued walking until at last, they came out at one of the most beautiful
lakes why had ever seen. The water a was clear, and you could see to the bottom
of most the lake. It was visible until it got to be about thirty feet, then it
disappeared into darkness. Multicolored trees surrounded the lake. Everyone in
the group exclaimed in pleasure.
“This is
gorgeous!” Cried September. They walked over to the edge of the lake and looked
down into the water.
“So, it’s
down there?” Asked Stan.
“Yes, I
guess.” Said Indigo.
Stan shifted
his feet. “Sooo… who’s going first?” He quickly backed up the moment he said
this, leaving Riddler the closest to the shore.
Riddler
grinned. “This is going to be fun.” She quickly reached into her backpack and
pulled out a small diving apparatus and some fins. She stuck the berthing
apparatus on, then attached the fins.
“I’ll come
with you.” Said Fia. Quickly putting on the gear as well.
 Riddler looked over her shoulder as the two
were getting ready to jump into the lake and said “Mrphmigate!” Then she and
Riddler jumped into the cold lake, swimming downwards into the deeper areas.
They jumped headlong into the water, soon disappearing into the depths.
Stan
fidgeted. “Sooo… what now?”
Riddler swam
along, Fia not far behind. It was beautiful, though it looked otherwise from
the surface, the water got clearer as the depth increased. And I was a lot
deeper than anyone had thought. It didn’t stop, they kept swimming and swimming
until finally after about three hundred yards downward, they finally reached
the bottom.
“This is
weird…” Riddler thought. We’ve gone almost a thousand feet downwards, and still
I can’t feel any pressure.”
She glanced
back, gesturing to Fia. She pointed upward. Fia nodded, signaling that she’d
noticed the lack of pressure too. The floor of the lake was covered in huge,
near tree sized seaweed. The weeds were relatively thin, but thickened at the
top, just like a tree. Riddler pointed to the forest, then swam towards it. Fia
followed. As she swam, riddle started to see some mysterious dark shapes moving
among the tree-weed things.  The two
friends swam a little faster. Suddenly, they came to a strange sort of opening
in the ‘forest.’ In the opening sat a large, strange looking hill. In that hill
was a large cavern like hole. The hole was about nine feet in diameter, and
stretched downwards below the lake. They attentively swam closer to the edge
and peered inside. Riddler gestured for Fia to go first, but she shook her head
and waved Riddler on. So, she swam through, Fia close behind. The cavern was
winding and rather hard to navigate at places, but it widened with every turn,
until finally in one final turn, it went at a sharp angle upwards. There was a
bright light at the top of the tunnel, but neither of the friends could see the
top. She looked at Fia again. Fia shrugged and pointed. Riddler swam on again
to the light, it got closer and closer, until…
Riddle’s
head broke the surface of the water into a large, spacious room. It was made of
large grey stones, just like the Hollow’s Hotel was. Riddler climbed out of the
water, Fia right behind her, onto a little plateau out over the right of them. Torches
lined the wall, giving the room oat’s light. They climbed out of the water and removed
their masks.
“Fia!” cried
Riddler. “Were in the castle! We must be in the easement! Or the medieval
equivalent of one… But anyway, what is this used for you think?” Just then she
gasped with a horrible realization. “Fia! The murderer could use this! This
could be how he ban slipping around all over castle grounds. He could be using
this assuage, there could be any number of them!” She walked forward a couple
of steps, putting her hand up to the wall. It then occurred to her that Fia hadn’t
said anything. Riddler turned around, and chills ran u her spine. Fia was
smiling at her, casually leaning up against the wall. In her hand, she held a
knife. She was toying around with the knife in her hands, looking at Riddler.
“You…” Said
Riddler.
“Yes, my
friend, me.” She stopped twirling her knife and slipped it in her belt loop.
“You’re the
murderer? But why?”
“Oh no.”
Said Fia, carelessly waved her hand. “I’m no murderer, because no one’s been
killed.”
“Wait,
what!?”
“Yes.” She
said, grinning deviously. “I never harmed anyone in the least! I simply made it
looked like they’d died. I cleverly devised their little ‘accidents.’ They were
never in any immediate danger. I simply used these.” She reached her hand to
the wall, pulling out a stone. She pulled out a small white rock, a tin can,
and a piece of old newspaper.
“What…”
“They’re
called portkeys. Other wizards like The Phantom use them. If you so much as
touch them, the port key will send you wherever the portkey has been made to
take you. I designates to transport those I wished to a dungeon that’s just
through this corridor. When I was going to stage another murder, I
strategically placed a portkey right next to the place of their murders. Then
WHAM! They end up here.”
“But how in
the world does that help you at all?”
“It’s’ very
simple really. She stepped away from the wall, and waved both her hands in the
air. Suddenly there was a purple flash, and suddenly, Fia was dressed in long
dark robes, and a large, old looking book was in one arm.
“I was
exploring the castle the night we first arrived. After bumping into a wall, I
found a secret passage into the Phantom’s office. There I found this book. When
I studied out further, I found it to be a book of spells. I found one certain
spell that peaked my interest. One called the Mortal Empowering hex. It causes
any non-magical human, or alter ego, to gain powers of their own. I performed
the spell, and it worked. However, my powers are only temporary until midnight
tonight. What is it with spells and midnight anyway!? Why not mid-morning or
mid-afternoon? Ah, well, it doesn’t matter now. But the spell must be done
within the minute that midnight comes. Not a minute. However, this spell is
very difficult, and I needed help. Enter the Phantom.
He has the
most knowledge of these kind go things, so I chose him. However, he would never
agree to that. So, I came I pith the plan to capture the Cabers as sort of
‘hostages’ shall we say. The Phantom would have to comply then.”
Fia snapped
her fingers and a clock appeared in her hands. “Ah, very good, it’s almost
midnight now.”
“What? How
long have we been down here?”
“Quite a
while. It took a long time to swim through the ace the passage, and wave been
talking- Oh never mind.” She held up her hand. “Thank you Riddler, you have
been a good teammate, but alas, all good things must end eventually. You will
make white a fine hostage if I do say so myself. Good bye!” She held up her
hand, getting ready to cast a spell. Riddler winced, preparing to get blasted,
when suddenly, a ball of fire came out of nowhere, which sent Fia flying into
the far wall. Riddler spun around to see a huge purple dragon standing in the
passage entrance. Right beside him was a girl.
“Daisy?!
Spyro? What are you guys doing here?”
“This
morning I heard noises coming from the wall of my bedroom.” Explained Daisy. “I
thought they sounded an awful familiar, so I did some secret passage
investigation, and I came across this tunnel. When I got back out to warn
everyone, you guys were getting ready for the scavenger hunt. I didn’t know
about the dungeon and the hostages, so I just kept my mouth shut, left the passage,
and went on the hunt with my team. I figured I could get Some friends to come
down with me afterward. But, a little while ago, the rest of your teammates
came back up it the castle and said you were missing. I grabbed Spyro fast and
came down here to check, and sure enough! Here you were.”
“Hey!” Spyro
said, waving his tail.
“Thank you,
guys,” Said Riddler. Fia stirred from where she was on the floor. “NOW RUN!”
She shouted.
“Hop ion!”
Said Spyro. Riddler and Daisy clambered onto the dragon’s back. Ge tore off
down the passageway.
“We need to
get the others out of the dungeon!” Said Daisy.
“We don’t
have time! We have to get The Phantom!” Answered Riddler. “He can help us get
everyone out!” They charged on through the passages until thy finally popped
out into a long corridor. They had reached the castle. They charged through the
corridors, slamming into walls, vocationally knocking over a random table or
vase.
“They’re
probably outside! The party is being held on the front lawn!” Shouted Daisy.
They charged for the entrance to the castle. They made it to the entry hall,
Spyro picked up speed.
“Spyro, you’re
not going-DUCK!” Riddler shouted. She and daisy laid flat on Spyros back. He Rn
full tilt at the door, smashing it off its hinges and sending glass and wood fragments
flying everywhere. They landed on the lawn. Tents had been set up to cover
snack booths and activities. There were people and monsters milling about, but
they all stopped dead in their tracks when they saw the huge dragon come
smashing about oaf the castle doors, with Daisy and Riddler on err back. Though
the crow, The Phantom came shoving and pushing everyone out of his way.
“Whets wrong?”
he said in a panicked voice. In one barely understandable rush, the three Cbers
recounted everything that had happened. The Phantom stood still, thoughtfully
listening.
“So, you’re
a real wizard?” Said Riddler.
“Yes
indeed.” Said the Phantom. “This is my fault, I’m sorry everyone, I should have
hidden the spell book better. Ridller, you say the other Cbers are hostages?”
“That’s
right!”
“Well, why
don’t we go break them out. STAFF!” He yelled. He turned to everyone else. “I
have a plan, but I’m going yet need your help. Is everyone willing?”
Everyone
cheered in response. “Good!” He exclaimed merrily. “Then this just got
interesting!”
              ******
The attack
happened about thirty minutes later. It was ten minutes till midnight. Everyone
in the Castle was now on the front lawn, preparing to fight. They ere all armed
with one foot long pieces of ornately carved wood. The Phantom was walking up
and down the rows of people, giving them last minute tips and advice.
“Okay men,”
said The Phantom,” Fia should be here any second. Remember what I told you. I
have put on each of you the same spell that Fi used on herself. You will each
have temporary powers until exactly midnight. That should be enough time to
fight off Fia and save the captives. If we fail though, I will be forced to
give Fia permanent powers. Remember the spells I taught you!”
Just then
everyone heard a far-off trumpet blast. “Good luck!” The Phantom finished, just
as Fia and her army came out of the woods. Fia had quite an array of combatants
on her side, she not only had a few werewolves and vampires, she also had some
strange looking miss-men, and small, dragon like creatures made of stone. Just
to name a few of the monsters under her command. however, the bulk of her
armada was made up of wizards. They marched on through the woods, coming out into
the opening and stopping.  Fia stepped
forward.
“Phantom!”
She yelled. “Give up now, or the captives and the rest of your guests will be
destroyed!”
“We have an
army of our own, Fia, that’s more than capable of gaining victory over you.
READTY MEN!” All the cbers went ack into ready position, their wands held out
in front of them.
Fia turned
back to her army. ATTACK!” She hollered. The enemy line surged forwards, the
creatures running straight on, the wizards holding back, firing spells from
their wands. The phantom’s line scattered, firing spells back at them. Zaiden
ran along through the crowd.
“Em
Tarrion!” He yelled. A bright jet of orange light fired out if his wand, flying
into the middle of some monsters. As soon as the spell hit, there was an
explosion, and monsters flew everywhere.
Just then,
he saw Kestrel running at him. “Stupefy!” She yelled, Zaiden ducked as a red
jet of light flashed over his head. He turned around just in time to see it hit
one of the rock dragons square in the head, sending him flying backwards. It
looked like it had been trying to jump him.
“Thanks!”
“Your
welcome!” Zaiden ran on. He saw an enemy wizard getting ready to cast a spell
at an unsuspecting CBer.
“Hoppious
Frogimus!” He shouted, this time, a green pulse blasted out of his wand. The
wizard turned just I time to block it, then he returned with Avada Kedevra. Zaiden
hit the dirt just as the spell sailed over his head and blew up somewhere
behind him. “Hoppimous Frogimus!” The wizard disappeared suddenly, in his
place, a small frog sat croaking confusedly. Just then, there was an explosion
off to Zaiden’s right, and all of a sudden, the phantom fell right beside
Zaiden. He jumped bac to his feet, wand at the ready. Fia casually walked
through the fighting to where the stood, watching her.
“You disappoint
me, Phantom! I should expect you to be more skilled than this. And your being
beaten by me!” She burst out laughing.
You want
more?” The phantom yelled. “En garde!”
he dramatically went into a poorly done sword duel stance.
“Stupefy!”
He said. Fia dodged then returned a curse. The Phantom countered, then did a
flicking motion with his wand, Fia acted like a carpet had been pulled out from
under her feet. She flipped up in the air and landed hard on her back. Zaiden
got behind The Phantom and made sure no one was going to interfere with his and
Fia’s duel.  Fia leapt back up and fired
a blue energy ball at Phantom. He countered again. The went back and forth
until finally, with a shout of triumph, Fia caught The Phantom off guard,
blasting the end of his robe with a fireball. He quickly put it out with a
spell, but in that split second, Fia cast another spell, hitting the Phantom in
the chest and sending him flying backwards. Fia stepped forwards. Zaiden tried
to stun Fia with a curse, but she blocked and used a full body bind hex on him.
The Phantom stirred, trying to get back on his feet. Fia cackled.
“I win!” She
called out victoriously, raising her Wand to cast a spell. Then right on cue,
loud voice shouted.
“Explelliarmus!”
There was a red flash, and the wand went flying out of Fia’s hand.
Fia whipped
around. “Who-?”
There stood
Indigo, holding her wand at Fia. As Fia turned again, trying to find her wand,
Katydid shoved through the crowd of combatants.
“KILL!” She
shouted. Another flash of light blasted from her wand. It blasted directly into
Fia’s wand, causing it to exploded.
“NO!” Fia
shouted. With that, she exploded into a cloud of smoke and disappeared. The
Phantom stood up and brushed off his robes. He cleared his throat.
“Thank you!
Erm, though let’s keep the rescuing part to ourselves. Please.”
Katydid
slapped her hand over her eyes in disgust. “Nice fail Killy.” She grumbled.
“Umm…” Said
a third voice. Everyone looked around. Zaiden was still lying on the ground,
bound with magical cords. “Could someone untie me?”
“Oh! My
apologies friend!” Said The Phantom. “Let me see…” He said. He flicked his wand
and before everyone’s eyes, it morphed into a chainsaw. Th Phantom revved it.
Zaiden’s
eyes widened. A small squeak issued form his throat. But before The Phantom
could cut him loose, there was a thunderous clang that echoed form the castle.
The clock on the hotels’ clock tower had struck twelve. There was a flash of
purple in the air and Fia came tumbling down and hit the ground. She jumped up.
“Nooo!” She shouted.
Fia’s would be followers, as soon as they saw their master had been defeated,
turned on their heels and fled towards the thick of the woods. Fia turned, and
A roar erupted from the combatants on The Phantom’s army. They threw their wands
in the air, hugged echoer, climbed the Castle’s statues and torches, all in celebration.
The Phantom waded through the mob of people and climbed u to the top of the
stairs.
“COMRADES!”
He roared. “VICTORY IS OURS!” More roars and applause followed this. “Thank you
for all your help! Now, I need five volunteers from the guests to help me
rescue the rest of the guests.”
 Lilycat sat up against the cold stone of her
and multiple other CBers dungeon cell. Her and the other hostages had heard
sounds coming from down the corridors and had felt strange vibrations that seemed
to come from the surface. But that had been a while ago, nothing else had
happened. Lillycat picked up a small stone that was on the floor and began
drawing random pictures in the wall. Some of the other cbers all of a sudden
stood up, looking through the bars of the cell into the hall. At first Lilycat didn’t
know what was going on, but then she heard it as well. There was the sound of
footsteps, a lot of them, coming their way. She stood up, waiting, expecting to
see Fia and some of her henchmen around the corner, but instead, a troop of
fellow CBers, all wielding either wire cutters or welding torches. At the front
of the rescue party, leading the way, was The Phantom.
It was early
the next morning. The Hotel’s busses were parked out front, waiting to take the
guests of the resort back to their homes. The CBers had all packed their
belongings and were out on the lawn, talking and joking with each other. Then
the door to the castle opened and out came The Phantom. He went over and stood
on the top of the steps. Everyone stopped talking and turned towards him.
“Everyone!”
He called out. “Thank you so much for coming to this annual stay here! It has
been a lot of fun!” Everyone cheered, and a random pie flew. The Phantom
sidestepped before continuing in his speech. “I hope to see next year, and
thank you for coming and taking part in another fun and mystery filled stay
here at the Hallow’s Eve Hotel!” Everyone cheered again, and then began loading
into the buses.
They took
off into the air, the ghostly driver calling out their next stop, everyone
leaning out the windows, looking at Hotel, the corn maze (where a manticore was
laying down, chewing on corn) the lake, and the multicolored foothills.
The Artist
leaned out of the bus, looking down at the Hallow’s Eve Hotel. She smiled.
Goodbye, until next year!
Thanks guys!
It’s been fun!
