Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Song Lyrics!

Song Lyrics!

Ok, so on the MB we have threads where we can just post complete song lyrics from songs that we like (provided they're appropriate of course). And since PP is basically dead... *shrug* maybe this'll wake it up.

I'mma gonna go first, 'kay?

Look at these people

Amazing how sheep'll show up for the slaughter

No one condemning you

Lined up like lemmings you led to the water

Why can't they see what I see

Why can't they hear the lies?

Maybe the fee's to pricy for them to realize

Your disguise is... slipping...

I think you're slipping...

Now that your savior is still as the grave

You're beginning to fear me

Like cavemen fear thunder I still have to wonder

Can you really hear me?

I bring you pain, the kind you can't suffer quietly

Fire up your brains, remind you inside your

Rioting society is... slipping...

Everything's slipping...

Away... So...

Go ahead! Run away! Say it was Horrible!

Spread the word! Tell a friend! Tell them the tale!

Get a pic! Do a blog! Heros are over with!

Look at him! Not a word- Hammer, meet nail!

Then I win! Then I get everything I ever-

All the cash! All the fame! and social change-

Anarchy! That I run! It's Dr. Horrible's turn!

You people all have to learn!

This world is going to burn!

Burn! Bu-

**Yeah, it's two r's, H-O-R-R- yeah right.**

Burn!

No sign of Penny, good I would give anything

Not to have her see...

It's gonna be bloody, head up Billy buddy,

There's no time for mercy...

Here goes no mercy...

Haha, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. <3

Aaaahhhh...

Now at last my plan is on its way to its delectable conclusion

Only one more sunset and then finally I'll own the little beast

Then at last I'll have my brother just exactly where I want him

And I'll be unstoppable as long as I have this...

Four short lines that SHOULD NOT have been removed. To heck with time constraints. It literally sent shivers up my spine.

TNO (umlaut) already posted 90% of what I had in mind. ;)

In reply to the guessing ...thingy:

-#3 is the first verse of I Want the Good Times Back.

-#8 is from the reprise of Sweet Child.

-#9 is from the reprise of I Want the Good Times Back.

...May I have cookies? *bambie eyes*

Ooh! Thanks. :)

Random Fact: In the song "One Time," whatshisface sings the phrase "one time" precisely twenty-one one times. *headdesk* Um. Self-contradictory much?

And yes, I looked it up... annoying little girl on the bus won't. stop. playing it on her cellphone. EVERY SINGLE DAY, morning and afternoon. *shudders* It's not even a good song, in the opinion of me and, um, /every other person on the bus/... *rant*

Jenni is stopping by to say, she know likes Miley Cyrus, as of yesterday, when she was listening to "The Climb", acoustic version.

Always gonna be another mountain,

Always gonna wanna make it move,

Always gonna be an uphill battle,

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose,

Ain't about how fast I get there,

Ain't about what's waiting on the other side,

It's the climb.

The struggles I'm facing,

The chances I'm taking,

Sometimes might knock me down,

But no, I'm not breaking.

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain.......

Oh yeah!

Miley is awesome! "Party in the USA" isn't as good though.

I'm not a big Miley Cyrus fan, but I will grant you that that is a great song. :)

I'm not much of a fan either (well, not much of a fan of Disney-supported pop singers in general), but I do rather like that song. Just not her voice...

That is a good song...  I just don't really like her voice.  But I can see (well, in the case, hear) how some people like her voice.  I just looked it up on youtube.  The accoustic version is better.  That and a couple of other songs are the only songs by her that I've heard. Now, I will look up other songs and see if I like Miley Cyrus' other songs.

I don't really like Miley Cyrus, but I liked The Climb and Party in the U.S.A. I just know parts of those songs:

My head out the window, they're playin' my fav'rite song

The butterflies fly away

Hey, yay, yay yay yay, it's a party in the U.S.A

Hey yay yay yay yay party in the U.S.A

My head out the window, they're playin' my fav'rite song

I know I'm gonna be okay

Hey yay yay yay yay it's a party in the U.S.A

Hey yay yay yay yay party in the U.S.A

Or somthin' like that anyway. Here's a High School musical one:

Na na na na, na na na na yeah

You are the music in me

Heard the words once apon a time, makes you listen, there's a reason

In ev'ry chance you'll find a little laughter, happy ever after

The harmony is there you see, echoin' inside my head

To hear your voice beyond the crowd *Ugh! can't remember the next words!*

When i hear my fav'rite song I know that we belong, you are the music in me

It's *Forgets the next word* inside of us, and it's brought us here because

You are the music in me!

Is that too long Admins?

No, it's fine...I secretly like High School Musical...but you DIDN'T HEAR THAT FROM ME.

Disney pop stars are rather the sort of thing I have nightmares about...

Maggie seems to like them, though, I think it's the peer pressure...

Miss Andrew:

Who are you?

Mary Poppins:

I'm Mary Poppins.

Miss Andrew:

Mary Poppins? But you left. Without notice.

Mary Poppins:

And I've come back without notice.

Miss Andrew:

I see. And what do you expect me to do?

Mary Poppins:

Pack.

Miss Andrew:

Pack?! Silly little girl with your new-fangled methods

I bring up children so they know their place

Standing for tradition I govern my charges

Mary Poppins:

Mishandled charges blow up in your face

Miss Andrew:

I brought up their father-

Mary Poppins:

Oh, that I don't doubt!

You must be so proud

Of the way he turned out!

Miss Andrew:

A shining example, a pillar

Mary Poppins:

A post! They all have their problems

But he more than most!

Miss Andrew [gasping]:

You've let my little lark out of his cage!

Now you will bear the full brunt of my rage!

Brimstone and treacle for you

Brimstone and treacle for you

Mary Poppins:

Just a spoonful of sugar

Miss Andrew:

Brimstone and treacle for you

Mary Poppins:

Just a spoonful of sugar

Miss Andrew:

Brimstone and treacle for you

Mary Poppins:

Just a spoonful of sugar

Ah...

Both:

Ah... Ah.... Ah... Ah...

Ah... Ah... Ah...

Mary Poppins:

I recognize fully

That you are a bully

Who views cruel deeds as a perk

Well now here's a catch

Because you've met your match!

Brimstone and treacle

Miss Andrew:

Brimstone and treacle

Mary Poppins:
Brimstone and treacle

Miss Andrew:
Brimstone and treacle
Ah...

Mary Poppins:
Won't work!

Miss Andrew:
[screams]

Here's a Mary Poppin's one I'm working on for my voice:

In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun

You find the fun and snap! the jobs a game

And every task you undertake, becomes a piece of cake

A lark! A spree! It's very clear to see

That a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down

The medicine go dow'wown, medicine go down

Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down,

In a most delightful way

Verse 2:

A robin feathering his nest has very little time to rest

While gathering his bits of twine and twig

Ok, that's all I can remember

submitted by Hannah P., age 13, Georgia
(November 3, 2009 - 11:44 am)

Though quite intent in his pursuit

He has a merry tune to toot

He knows a song will move the job along

For a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down

The medicine go down

The medicine go down

Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down

In a most delightful way

The honey bees that fetch the nectar

From the flowers to the comb

Never tire of ever buzzing to and fro

Because they take a little nip

From every flower that they sip

And hence (and hence)

They find (they find)

Their task is not a grind...

Because yes, I am one of those people who can randomly spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious off the top of my head. In fact I did, twice, today, for two different people.

Once at lunch, when some friends of mind who take Ceramics were talking about there word prompt thingies (they draw a word, sort of like word association only not) and one said, "maybe I should do supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" and then commented about how no one could spell it, and so naturally I had to prove her wrong.

And then again in U.S. History when Vanessa was randomly joking about how I'm the sort who would be able to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and I was like, "well, actually..." and then she made me prove it.
