Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

It is a

It is a cool Saturday, and you are at your desk reading a book. You have just reached the most suspenseful part (will the black wizard kill the dragon, or will the dragon kill the wizard?), when a small rock flies through the open window and lands in your lap. You open the note tied to it.

"Dear reader.                                                                                                                               You are invited to my marvelous tree village. Only bring what you need.                                          Pack quickly. My horses are waiting for you outside.                                                                                                                                              -Tree Keeper.                                                       P.S. We are not responsible for any injuries or deaths."

You pack your bags and step outside. A winged horse stands in the driveway impatiently stamping its feet. A minute later, you are on its back and flying away. After about twenty-five minutes of flying you see the forest ahead. As you ascend into it, you wonder what the village will be like.

If you don't wish to be the killer, please just request not to be.

So sorry it took so long. 20% is not very much Random Person. Be encouraged.

DAY THREE
"What were those animal things?” Mei-Xue asked Random Person on the way to breakfast. “No idea. Ask Tree Keeper.” After they had reached the lodge the day before, they had all gone straight to their houses. The Tree Keeper had taken some animals (Dragons, wolves, etc), about 15 altogether, to destroy the strange creatures. They had returned very late. Tired but successful. The Tree Keeper had gone straight to her house. She was now in the Main House waiting for them. They saw that her arm was bandaged. “Because of what happened yesterday, each house will have several guards. A pegasus for Pegasus, a dragon for Dragon, and a hippogriff for Hippogriff, as well as 2 wolves. Try to be in groups of three at all times.” The AEs groaned. The Murderer bit its lip. This was going to be hard.
Scylla, Stardust, and someone, decided to go to the library. They took over to the group of weaving trees. Scylla quickly found a book, and started reading it. Stardust and the someone found books too, and all of them decided to go out to the balcony. The Murderer smiled and pulled out a pistol.  The Assassin threw a dagger. Scylla and Stardust lay dead. The Assassin and the Murderer drew swords. “What happened?” The Assassin and the Murderer vanished. “Ever… Oh no. Not another one.” Cockleburr stared down at the dead CBers. Mei-Xue and Icy came running. “Oh no. Not Stardust and Scylla.” Leela stepped out of the bathroom. “Oh no.” “You. You killed them.” Icy grabbed Cockleburr’s arm. “Hey, Cockleburr. How do you kn…..” “Because she was with them!” Cockleburs yelled. “Who else could have done it?” “I…. I don’t know.” Icy faltered. “Maybe…… Leeli would’t do that.” “You think that she is too sweet and kind. How do you know it isn’t all a fake? Just to trick us. Put us off guard. Then BAM.” Leeli ran off crying. The Tree Keeper showed up with some wolves. Cockleburr looked at her. “What is going on here? What were those things yesterday? Why do you always act so… so… so strange?” The Tree Keeper sighed and turned to one of the wolves. “Tell everyone to go to the Main House. Now.” The wolf took off. “Let’s go to the house.
When they reached the house, the big table was gone. The chairs too. “What happened to them?” Sequoia asked. Random Person pointed at the ceiling. The table and chairs had been hung from some hooks, and now you could see the carvings that covered the bottom. Somehow, someone had carved dragons, unicorns, pegisi,  hippogriffs, and other strange and beautiful animals onto the bottom. But almost no one was looking at that. They were focusing on the Tree Keeper. "The “animals” you saw yesterday were automatons. Made to destroy, probably. You don’t want to mess with them. I think I know who sent them. His name is Maximilien Robespierre. I thought he was long gone, but I guess I was wrong.Everyone must be on their guard. We don’t know when there will be another attack.
Everyone hurried back to their houses. No one wanted to be accused of murder.
The Murder slide into bed with a frown. Someone else.

Death Toll: Rest In Peace, Scylla and Stardust. You sadly know the name of the Assassin. Rest In Peace.

Enter: Assassin. Ok. No questions about the Assassin please. All will be told in due time.

I bet I'm one of the killers! I mean, I was so quick to accuse Leeli. Like I was trying to direct all attention away from myself. I was also the first to 'find' the bodies. And whereby's my group? I bet I deserted them to go kill people!

4.76190476 % sure I or one of my AEs is the killer. Since horses and ravens can't hold daggers, I'm 4.76190476 % sure I'm the killer. 476190476 is 100 divided by 21 which is the number of CBers excluding the dead ones. I always like to think matematically. Especially with percentages.

Anna, Connie, Catherine, Sequoia, elementgirl, and Stardust are for sure not the killer.

So sorry I forgot to read this! O.O I love it though! And I'm in the Pegasus house! Also, side note, Winged Wolves are my favorite mythical beast! But, what if Cockleburr was right? What if I am trying to throw you all off guard? MWAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

DAY FOUR
I step out of my house. I know I have to get to the bottom of these murders. Just then Cockleburr walks up and hands me something. “Ummm…. Counter found this in my mattress. I’m guessing it’s yours.” She heads off towards breakfast. “I’ll open it later.” I decide. I grab my hood and walk to the main house.Just like always, everyone glances up at me, and then go right back to talking with each other. I wonder what it is like to have friends. Human ones. I have never had any. All of my friends are animals. And I’m not saying that they aren’t good friends. Still. Sometimes I get lonely. I never met anyone like me until I found ChatterBox. I still don’t have any friends. But now is time for breakfast. Not sad thoughts. Soon everyone is done eating. They go outside to decide who is going where. I walk out and fly to the library.
several people are already there. They glance at me, and go back to their books. I finally select a Redwall book, and am soon absorbed in the battles of mice and rats. I hear some squeaking, and look up to see some winged library mice reading a Redwall book too. I laugh at the funny scene that they make. 5 mice reading a book about as tall as 3 of them standing on top of each other. The book is propped up against the wall, and it takes 2 of them to turn the page. I sit in the chair watching them for awhile. Suddenly there is a scream from the direction of the pool/lake. I run out of the library and fly towards the sound. 3 AEs, 1 Capatcha, and a CBer are lying about. Sequoia, Fia, and Eshi are lying in the water, Fleetfoot is on the steps, and Leeli is in a deck chair. Kestrel picks up Fleetfoot and begins to cry. Pastella/Beautea stands in shock. elementgirl collapses. I stoop and pick up Leeli’s body. The rest of the CBers, AEs, and Capatchas wander around trying to comfort people. 5 in 1 day. 1 person couldn’t have done this. 5 people. That never happens. “Everyone. Into the Main House. Now.” I slowly walk off still holding the body. Soon everyone is in the house. I stand in front of them. “I think that there is more than 1 murderer. I don’t think that 1 person could have done this. I cannot stop you. But I hope that you feel some guilt about the people you have killed. What did they do to you? If you confess now, you will save many lives. Your own included. Please stop this. Almost all of us have lost someone. Please. Stop now.” I walk down past the tables and step outside. Everyone else heads towards their houses, leaving me to stand there with the bodies. My wolves come to get them, and we go down together. We bury them in the small grove we had chosen for the grave yard after the first death. I send the wolves back up as soon as they are done. Why was this happening? Who was killing us? What did they want? I fly up to my house. Maybe Icy can help me find the Murderer. I will talk to her tomorrow. Unless she is the Murderer. I don’t think that she is, though. I will risk it for those still living.

Death Toll: Rest In Peace, Sequoia, Fia, Eshi, Fleetfoot, and Leeli. Never so many. Rest In Peace my friends. Rest.

Sorry Leeli. You aren't the Murderer after all.
