Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Writing/Art Contest

Writing/Art Contest

There have been things like this in the past, and I decided to bring it back.

So, you will team up with a partner. Each pair will have one writer and one artist. The judge will give you a theme and a deadline. The writer will write a story or a poem (maximum 100 words) relating to the theme, and the artist will make a piece of art relating to the theme. It's nice if they go together, but they don't have to.

At the deadline, the judge will judge the entries. The winners will become the next judge.

The first theme is growing. You could try something about plants, or children, or science, or something else entirely.

The deadline is two and a half weeks from now, September 9. I know people's schools are starting, and you'll need to find your partners, so I can extend the deadline if needed.

Good luck, and have fun!

Oh and here is the current list of people possibly looking for partners:

Ashlee

Sagitarius

Scylla

Sprocket

If you want to join in pairs, you are welcome to.

@September and Bluebird, thanks for doing the new theme! It sounds good, and the details are right. You may get want to change the deadline though depending on how quickly people submit entries.

I'll join the next round as either an artist or an author. Anyone want to pair up with me?

Hi, Lucy! What are your thoughts on the "War" prompt? I was  thinking I might go more psychological on this one, but I'm not sure yet...

Do you want me to write first and then you draw something inspired by it, in reverse of what we did last time? Or do you want to make a game plan first?

I was also thinking about a psychological thing too, like an inner struggle or fight against oneself.  I was also thinking about doing the opposite of what we did last time too!  So I think that you should write first because I'm a little dry on ideas right now.

Sagitarius, would you like to be partners?

@Sprocket

I would love to be your partner. Can I write and you draw?

I was thinking that maybe we should do like a Narnia-based battle scene. That would be fun. And then I could write from the point of view of one of the soldiers.

Yay! I think you should write first, so I can kinda model mine after your writing!

Sounds good! What are your thoughts on the theme? I was thinking I'd write a poem, but what do you think?

That sounds great! I will start drawing. We can talk about it irl later.

A poem sounds good! Just know that I'm best at drawing people. Especially in black and white.
